After the Villain Stopped Simping for the Heroine, the Heroine Regretted It!

Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Su Mengyao, do you have a pig brain, don’t you?:

Su Mengyao’s face flushed with anger, but deep down, she felt an inexplicable sense of loss, as if something important was slipping away forever.

However, her fury took over, and she shouted wildly, “Fine! I’ll be waiting for you to come to the Su family to break off the engagement!”

Despite her outburst, Su Mengyao had never truly liked Qin Yuan.

Losing him should have been exactly what she wanted.

She had longed to be rid of him, so why would she ever try to win him back?

The idea of breaking off the engagement filled her with relief, as it would allow her to openly be with Lin Yun and live a blissful, everlasting life.

In her naive mind, she believed that leaving Qin Yuan would lead to a dreamlike existence. She envisioned the beautiful days ahead, beckoning to her.

Meanwhile, the onlookers began to murmur among themselves.

“Holy crap, the Holy Son is really serious about this.”

“He actually wants to break off the engagement. It seems like Holy Son has truly woken up and decided to distance himself from Su Mengyao.”

“Yeah, but Su Mengyao is really clueless. She has no idea what breaking off the engagement really means.”

“Well, it’s none of our business. Let’s just sit back and watch the show.”

“Exactly.”

Su Mengyao paid no attention to the chatter around her.

At this moment, she was gazing lovingly at Lin Yun. He smiled back at her, and they exchanged a look like a pair of devoted lovers.

“Qin Yuan, this matter isn’t over. You’ve abused your power and bullied your fellow disciples. I will definitely report this to the higher-ups!” Lin Yun declared fiercely, as if determined to seek justice for Su Qing. Su Mengyao was so moved by this that she almost cried.

“Come on, let’s go see my father. I’m sure he’ll like you very much.” Su Mengyao smiled as she took Lin Yun’s hand.

Ignoring the surprised reactions of everyone present, she began to leave, bringing Su Qing along.

“Wait!” A voice called out just as they were about to depart.

Su Mengyao instantly frowned. T

he voice belonged to none other than Qin Yuan.

She assumed he had regretted his decision, so she immediately sneered, crossing her arms and looking at him with arrogant disdain.

“Qin Yuan, you have to be responsible for your words. Don’t think you can back out now. I’ll be waiting for you at the Su family tomorrow to break off the engagement.” She scoffed, turning as if to leave.

But before they could take a few steps, several figures blocked their path.

Su Mengyao’s frown deepened as she bit her lip and turned back to glare at Qin Yuan.

“What do you mean by this, Qin Yuan? You said it, and I agreed. If you’re too weak to follow through, then just say so. Are you still a man?” she taunted.

“Holy Son, I know you’re reluctant to let go, but you need to understand that love can’t be forced. Forced love is never sweet.” Lin Yun added with a smug smile, clearly relishing his perceived victory.

Qin Yuan remained indifferent, standing with his hands behind his back, his eyes cold.

He couldn’t believe how naive they both were.

He had simply asked them to stop, yet they assumed he was trying to win her back. If he said anything more, would they think he wanted to kiss her right there?

“You can leave, but Su Qing must stay.” Qin Yuan stated flatly.

“Why should my brother stay? What crime has he committed?” Su Mengyao demanded, her face cold, feigning ignorance, with a hint of defiance in her tone.

Qin Yuan didn’t bother answering her directly.

Instead, he glanced at a middle-aged man—the hesitant law enforcement elder—who understood immediately and spoke up sternly. “You’re not allowed to cause disturbances outside the Holy Son’s Hall, yet Su Qing not only broke the rules but also insulted the Holy Son…” The elder briefly recounted the recent events in detail.

The crowd buzzed with conversation once again.

“Damn, I didn’t think much of it before, but hearing the elder explain it, Su Qing really overstepped.”

“Yeah, it’s like insulting the emperor to his face.”

“He only dared to act that way because the Holy Son was protecting him. Otherwise, do you think he’d really have the nerve to shout outside the Holy Son’s Hall?”

“Exactly.”

“I don’t want to go to that awful place!” Su Qing suddenly cried out, shaking his head in fear. He clung to Su Mengyao’s hand and begged, “Sister, save me!”

“Don’t worry, I’ll help you.” Su Mengyao reassured him with a smile, patting his hand. She then turned back to Qin Yuan with a confident expression.

In her mind, this was a minor issue.

She believed that all she had to do was speak up, and Qin Yuan would let Su Qing off the hook, just as he had before.

After all, she was convinced that Qin Yuan’s actions were just a ploy to rekindle their relationship.

“Qin Yuan, you really are foolish!” Su Mengyao thought to herself. “You said you’d break off the engagement, but now you’re trying to threaten me by holding my brother’s life over my head? Ha! Do you think I’ll fall for that?”

Out loud, she declared coldly, “Qin Yuan, as the saying goes, a gentleman is as firm as a mountain. If you want to win me back, just say so. Don’t resort to threatening my brother with some fake crime!”

“I can tell you without hesitation that I, Su Mengyao, am not afraid of threats. Of course, if you’re willing to spare my brother today, I might consider delaying the engagement breakup for another half month. What do you say?”

“Honestly, I’m being very generous here. If it were anyone else, I wouldn’t even give them the chance to speak.”

Her condescending tone suggested that everyone else had to accept her terms.

The crowd was left stunned, and Qin Yuan almost laughed out loud.

What in the world was Su Mengyao thinking?

He had no intention of winning her back. He just wanted to keep Su Qing behind and make him suffer.

Only by changing the original plot and torturing the heroine’s brother to death could he earn the rewards granted by the system.

But Su Mengyao had completely misunderstood his intentions, even going so far as to think he still harbored feelings for her. What a joke.

“Su Mengyao, do you really think you’re irresistibly charming?” Qin Yuan sneered as he approached the two of them with lightning speed.

“What do you mean?” Su Mengyao asked, her frown deepening in confusion.

“Let me be clear: you’re insignificant to me. And while we’re at it, stop acting like an idiot. Do you have a pig brain? Just because you think something doesn’t make it true.” Qin Yuan retorted coldly.

“Su Qing must stay. As I said, his fate is out of my hands. As for the engagement breakup, that will still happen tomorrow, just as planned.”

With that, Qin Yuan turned and walked back to the Holy Son Hall.

The door slammed shut behind him, leaving Su Mengyao standing there, bewildered and shaken.
