Chapter 22
The post was likely made by the coffee shop server from earlier.
After discussing with Xu Meng and Yang Qianhu, they felt there was no need to specifically keep this matter confidential, so they didn’t ask the server to do so.
As a result, the post was made.
**Title:** The recently highly discussed variety show features a top celebrity and a controversial figure who seem to have a good relationship.
**Body:** Working part-time at a coffee shop, I noticed these two seemed to be discussing some kind of collaboration. Besides their managers, the CEO of Extreme Entertainment was also there.
The title was quite revealing, so the post quickly attracted a lot of discussion.
Within minutes, Chi Jing saw hundreds of comments.
[**The hints are too obvious; it’s clear who they are.**]
[**Why not just name them directly? What’s with the riddles?**]
[**If the names were written, the top celebrity’s fans would probably destroy the post.**]
[**Haha, I’ll say it directly: It’s Jiang Yucheng and Chi Jing. During the live broadcast, Jiang Yucheng seemed to make some small gestures towards Chi Jing. Could it be he’s trying to manipulate him?**]
[**?? Did the person above leave their brain at home? Who manipulates people with their managers and company CEO around? Is there something wrong?**]
[**Yang Qianhu was there too? What were they discussing?**]
[**We’ll know in due time, but it doesn’t prove they have a good relationship; it’s just a discussion about collaboration.**]
The poster replied, [**After the meeting, they left together. The controversial figure got into the top celebrity’s car. They discussed things on the terrace, and since it was hot, the top celebrity even ordered an ice water for him.**]
[**???**]
[**?????? If the genders were reversed, from your description, I would think they were dating.**]
[**It does seem a bit ambiguous.**]
[**Enmmmmm hard to judge. Would Jiang Yucheng be this friendly with others? I thought he was always quite aloof.**]
[**As a fan, I can say he is indeed aloof… So I find this description a bit hard to believe. If it’s made up, it should fit his character, but this seems off.**]
The poster replied, [**Laughing and crying jpg, I didn’t make it up. It was at a coffee shop in Haishi’s city center. They didn’t ask me to keep it confidential, so it should be okay to talk about it.**]
[**Any photos?**]
The poster replied, [**I didn’t dare to take photos to avoid infringing on privacy, but we have security cameras in the store.**]
[**Stop guessing. Since the poster wasn’t asked to keep it confidential, the collaboration will likely be announced soon.**]
[**The key point is, who cares about the collaboration right now!!! I’m just curious why Jiang Yucheng is being so nice to Chi Jing?**]
[**To the opponent jpg, Chi Jing is so good-looking. If I were Jiang Yucheng, I’d be nice to him too.**]
[**Jiang Yucheng isn’t that superficial, okay? A lot of people are guessing randomly. What if he’s just giving a ride?**]
[**Cut it out. Jiang Yucheng’s fans, wake up. Would he be the type to just give someone a ride out of kindness? If he weren’t close to him, he’d probably ask, “Aren’t you taking a cab?”**]
[**Haha, don’t say anymore. It looks like Jiang Yucheng’s fans are about to explode.**]
Chi Jing didn’t read all the comments, just the ones at the top.
He looked at his phone, not noticing that Jiang Yucheng had driven into a villa neighborhood.
The car slowly came to a stop by the side of the road. He handed his phone over, “See if we need to clarify anything.”
He handed the phone directly to Jiang Yucheng, then opened the car door and got out, looking around the surroundings.
The area was filled with detached villas, and the neighborhood was well-landscaped.
Standing in front of Villa No. 16, Chi Jing noticed that the small garden seemed to be professionally maintained. During summer, a variety of flowers were in full bloom.
The other half of the garden was paved, with outdoor tables and chairs. It would be very pleasant to have tea and enjoy the breeze in the evening.
However, if this villa were used as a dormitory, even a wealthy company like Extreme Entertainment wouldn’t be able to afford it.
He leaned on the garden railing and pointed to the villa behind him, “Is this my dormitory?”
When Jiang Yucheng got out of the car, he still held Chi Jing’s phone.
Hearing his question, he looked at the villa and asked, “Don’t you like it?”
“I do.” Chi Jing genuinely liked the villa.
He preferred homes with good lighting, spacious but not too large. Every part of this villa perfectly matched his tastes.
More importantly, the villa was surrounded by a bustling commercial area, making it extremely convenient for walking, dining out, or ordering takeout.
“Then it’s good.” Jiang Yucheng said, “Come over, and we’ll record your fingerprint.”
Chi Jing followed him to the villa’s front door, where he recorded his fingerprint and opened the door.
The interior was a combined living and dining area, with a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows facing south. The dining area and kitchen were connected by a bar, and the décor was quite modern, appealing to young people.
“I live here alone?” he looked around and noticed the villa lacked a lived-in feel, suggesting no one had stayed there before.
Jiang Yucheng had also finished reading the post Chi Jing showed him. He casually rotated the phone and placed it in Chi Jing’s pocket.
As they stood close together, the thin fabric of their summer clothes made Chi Jing acutely aware of his muscles and body temperature through the fabric.
The phone brushed against his pants as it slipped into his pocket.
He thoughtfully turned to Jiang Yucheng, his lips nearly brushing his jaw.
Jiang Yucheng remained still, but Chi Jing could clearly see his Adam’s apple bobbing.
He smiled slightly, his voice carrying a noticeable edge, “How about it? Am I good-looking?”
Jiang Yucheng stiffened, and after a while, he replied hoarsely, “Yes, you’re good-looking.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, Chi Jing was suddenly grabbed by the shoulder. His body was abruptly turned, and he was pushed against the wall with undeniable force.
The atmosphere became ambiguous. He tried to resist, but Jiang Yucheng grabbed his wrist with one hand and lifted his arm high above his head.
“What are you doing?” he demanded, his tone irritated.
Although he enjoyed teasing him, he didn’t like being put at a disadvantage.
He hated having the initiative in someone else’s hands.
“I’m just appreciating your pretty face.” Jiang Yucheng laughed recklessly, even his chest vibrating with his amusement.
Chi Jing’s face showed clear displeasure, and Jiang Yucheng didn’t tease him for long, quickly releasing his hold.
“You’ll be living here alone,” he stepped back, raising his hands to indicate he wouldn’t bother him further. “But if you’re scared of sleeping alone, I can come by anytime.”
“Cut it out. No need.” Chi Jing said with a dark expression and turned to go upstairs.
Jiang Yucheng didn’t follow but watched as he went up the stairs before making a phone call.
By the time the call ended, Chi Jing had come back downstairs.
“It’s nice. I like it here,” he said happily, “I’ll move in tonight.”
“Good. I’ve taken care of other matters,” Jiang Yucheng said. “Yang Qianhu will handle things with Longhuan Entertainment.”
“Got it.”
Chi Jing acted quickly.
Of course, the main reason was that he didn’t have much to move.
By nightfall, with Mu Jingshan’s help, he had moved his things in.
Seeing the villa, Mu Jingshan’s expression gradually cracked.
“You say this is your dormitory?” he almost bit his words out, “Do you know how expensive this villa is?”
A villa worth eight figures!
What company would give such an expensive villa to an artist as a dormitory!!!
He felt as though he might pass out.
