Since brute force wouldn’t work, Liu Yanran’s mother couldn’t be easily broken.
Xiao Cheng decided to switch tactics without a second thought. His cold and stern demeanor softened, replaced by a mask of disappointment and regret.
“Aunt, since you’re so determined, I won’t pressure you anymore,” he said with a sigh. “How about this? Let’s make it simpler. A kiss on the cheek should be enough to satisfy my affection for you.”
He continued smoothly, “As long as you do that, I promise those photos and videos will never reach the mayor’s office.”
She was caught off guard. “This…”
Though hesitant, her resistance wasn’t as strong as before. The offer wasn’t as repulsive now. Xiao Cheng had previously demanded so much more.
A kiss? That seemed like a small price in comparison.
“What’s wrong, Aunt? Still unsure about such an easy condition?” Xiao Cheng pushed her further. “You don’t seem very sincere. I’ve lowered my demands quite a bit. If you can’t agree to something this trivial, don’t blame me for what happens next.”
He gave her little time to decide, stepping back dramatically and letting out a sigh, pretending to head for the door.
“Wait… wait!” She called out in a panic, rushing to stop him. Of course, Xiao Cheng didn’t resist. He took the opportunity to pull her toward him, and she stumbled right into his arms.
Her body crashed against his, releasing a subtle fragrance. Xiao Cheng felt the warmth of her body as she landed on his lap, breathless and caught off guard.
“Aunt, I didn’t expect you to be so forward. You were so reserved a moment ago.” He teased, wrapping one arm around her waist, his other hand tracing up her leg.
“You… You pulled me on purpose! Let me go!” she protested.
“Or what, Aunt? Now that we’re here, you might as well fulfill the deal. No need to play shy.”
“You’re disgusting!” she snapped.
“Disgusting? I’m helping you, Aunt. You should be grateful!” He said with a smirk.
Trapped in his arms, she flushed with shame and fury. She wanted nothing more than to slap him, but the thought of the photos and videos in Xiao Cheng’s hands held her back. Her body finally slumped in reluctant defeat.
“Fine. But let’s make this clear,” she said, her voice trembling. “If I kiss you, you have to promise not to send anything to the mayor.”
“Don’t worry. I swear.” Xiao Cheng replied with a grin.
“And no one can ever know about this! If you tell anyone… I’ll… I’ll make sure you regret it!” she threatened.
Xiao Cheng chuckled. “Oh? As long as I keep it quiet, you won’t mind?”
Her face burned red with embarrassment. She couldn’t believe she’d said that. Was she really letting him off so easily?
She glared at him, frustrated, before closing her eyes, her lashes trembling. With a deep breath, she leaned in, her lips moving closer to his cheek.
Her face, glowing with beauty and maturity, turned a deeper shade of red with every inch closer. Xiao Cheng could barely hold back a smile. She was breathtaking, irresistible.
“I can’t help myself, Aunt. You’re too much.” He thought.
As her lips neared his cheek, Xiao Cheng suddenly turned his head, pulling her tighter into his arms. Her soft lips met his in an instant.
“Woo!” She gasped, eyes wide in shock.
Their faces were impossibly close, eyes locking, breaths mingling. His devilish grin and sharp features were right in front of her. Tears welled up in her eyes, falling down her cheeks like pearls as she pushed against him desperately.
But her shock had robbed her of her strength. She didn’t even think to use her powers, relying only on her own physical strength. She was no match for Xiao Cheng’s firm grip.
Then, a mechanical voice echoed in Xiao Cheng’s mind.
