Chapter 31: 30. The candy kingdom and Pizza
POV: Nomicon
Unaware of Finn, the shogun was deeply looking at him.
The Shogun had been paying close attention to the whole process, from each clever trap to the ingenious concepts Finn had made. And it nodded in acceptance. It was glad that Finn was fully using the world with the Nomicon. The fact that Finn was himself a genius only made things simpler.
Of course, it had a hand in everything Finn was doing. That was exactly why the Shogun had ensured Finn would make his mind palace while within the Nomicon. This was to prevent any unforeseen dangers and further reinforce any mind palace Finn made.
The shogun was also able to influence the easy progression of forming the mind palace.
And Finn had not disappointed. He made the process the Shogun had told him in forming the mind palace look childish, which it was not. And he had also managed to create his mind palace at record speed with zero casualties.
What the shogun was truly happy to learn was how powerful Finn's spirit was in a sense. This it had learned from Finn's fully formed mind palace.
How was this possible? The answer was simple. A normal human with a normal mental/spirit amount would not be able to form a mind palace the size of Finn's mind palace. The best a normal person could afford was a small structure with other defenses as a form of protection.
If they did anything Finn had done, they would have crushed their minds. And a normal person also lacked the Nomicon to back them up.
\
A true genius. The Shogun would agree. That was the only word the Nomicon could call its current host.
But most importantly, the Shogun noticed the change Finn had undergone after the memory palace process.
And that was even the main goal of forming the palace in the first place. To fully remove any sort of reality or barrier that may make Leo and Finn think they were different people because they were not. And that goal had been achieved.
The transformation had been instant. Not only on the physical aspect but also on the spiritual one. At this moment, the Nomicon was sure Finn had truly become his perfect self.
The purpose of the ritual had been accomplished.
What the Nomicon also realized was the fact that Finn's haki training would soon experience fast growth.
With the now fully merged Finn, that was the only possibility.
The Nomicon was sure the Goddess would be delighted by this development.
**POV: Finn**
The morning sun was bright, but even brighter was the aura that Finn had when he woke up, his smile able to light up a room.
The process of forming the mind palace had surprisingly taken the whole night, and it was only now that Finn was waking up—luckily, still full of energy.
Who was he—Leo or Finn? He found himself smiling at such a foolish question. Finn clenched his fist. The answer was simple.
He had already received his answer from the mirror.
And he was satisfied with that answer. He had also decided during that time: that he would enjoy this life more. He would try to make more friends and ensure he cherished every single moment.
Finn felt it was time to start moving forward; it was time he finally visited the place he had been avoiding for a while now. It was time to pay a visit to the Candy Kingdom. He felt it was the right moment.

**POV: Jake the Dog**
Jake had once again noticed a change in Finn—something even he, with his usually aloof concentration, managed to pick up.
It was weird. The good kind of weird. Like finding an ice cream plant in the middle of an adventure.
Finn just felt brighter; perhaps "more relaxed" was a better description.
Finn was smiling more since he woke up. He was even humming a little and chuckling at himself quite often for some odd reason.
Jake still wondered why.
But Jake was happy with this development.
A happy Finn was a happy Jake, and Jake was glad his best bro was in such high spirits for some reason.
Maybe Finn had a good dream. 'Hehe.'
"Hey Finn, what do you want to do today?" Jake hoped Finn didn't say training. While he appreciated that Finn was taking the adventuring business seriously, training was exhausting, and Jake didn't want to miss out on fun with him!
"What about we visit the Candy Kingdom and grab some pizza?" Finn said, swinging his little legs as he awaited Jake to bring breakfast.
But Finn's words truly made Jake's day: he was in the mood for pizza. Everything else disappeared into the background as he thought of the old Candy Kingdom and how it was progressing.
And most importantly, pizza!
Jake just knew which shop had some of the best pies in all of Ooo.
It was time to head off to the Candy Kingdom.

**POV: Finn**
"Finn was happy that Jake was happy," he thought as he smiled relaxedly. Maybe pizza was a good way to lift people's spirits.
Since the morning, he had just felt happy—a sort of childish joy he couldn't explain. Maybe his current age was finally catching up with him, but Finn didn't care.
Once again, Finn carried his entire arsenal, from his sword to the video camera, and finally to his trusty map.

**PLACE: Ice Kingdom**
"Heh heh."
Deep in the Ice Kingdom, a considerable distance from the treehouse and far away from any signs of life, there were strange structures.
The structures were like long spikes jutting from the ground, piercing the sky, some topped with white snow and others featuring oddly shaped holes that, if one looked closely, seemed to form faces expressing different emotions.
"Heheheh. New material for my book. Oh, what joy!"
At this moment, from one of those structures, a laugh echoed, followed by a voice that somehow sounded both old and young at the same time. But this was not unusual; the owner of this voice was a well-known figure in the land of Ooo.
The figure was a strange-looking man with pale blue skin, dressed in a surprisingly spotless blue robe that covered his entire body. He had an elongated nose and a remarkably long beard that reached the ground.
What truly distinguished this figure was the beautiful golden crown on his head, embedded with three lustrous red jewels that glinted slightly in the icy region. An outside observer would have felt a sense of awe at the sight of the crown, followed by a sudden chill.
Yes, this figure was well-known in the land of Ooo. Some might even say he was infamous.
It was the Ice King! At least, that was how he was most commonly known. The few who knew him better would have given him a different name—a name that held the tragedy of his past.
"Where to now, Finn and Jake?"
The lone figure of Ice King spoke, hunched over a microscope, watching the retreating backs of Finn and Jake as they headed toward the Candy Kingdom.
"Quack."
Perhaps the Ice King was not alone. A penguin appeared from under his robes, waddling away as it rubbed its eyes, looking like someone who had just woken from a nap.
"Be quiet, Gunther!"

Okay, on to other things, I would first like to point out that this story is a slow paced one. So characters you want to see will be introduced slowly throughout it's progression. So, please be patient with me.
But I feel that I want Finn to start dungeon diving and adventuring soon so he can get a feel for it. I also want to add different character interactions as well as other ideas to cater for all the different shows I will be adding to this story.
That was mostly what I wanted to say, and also if you have some cool ideas about adventure time or possible future arcs you would like to see, comment, review or reply to me on my Patreon. I think I try my best to reply to any and all comments on this boo. Also drop your powers stones.
