Chapter 15: 15 - Memories in the past
After a long cold night the daybreak brought glimmers of warmth. The golden light softly caressed the land and ignited the birds into a chorus of melodies as the sun rises in the east. And blooms on the horizon, golden petals stretching ever outwards into the rich blue.
The early morning sunlight is soft and diffuse, gives way to the first strong rays of the day, and it brings true warmth after a cold night. In this light, water evaporates in slow waves, waves that eddy in the gentle breeze, flowing upward to white - puffed clouds, ships of white in the blue above.
And as the sun rays streamed through the window of the bungalow, casting a warm glow inside the room. Edward was the first to wake up, seeing it was already morning and she was still sleeping. He decided not to wake her up yet and went outside of the room quietly.
But before going outside, he went to the bathroom first to have a quick shower. After finishing, he quickly get dressed and then he went outside. He inhales the fresh air, feeling refreshed, there's no place like this in the city, but sadly, today is the last day he will stay here with his girlfriend. He strode towards the kitchen and sighed, I will cook a simple breakfast for her.
The caretaker family was still at their living quarters, somewhere near the gate, but there was too many large trees and Maria didn't notice it. He also didn't bring her there so it was only natural that she doesn't know.
Once he is inside the kitchen, he look around and think about what he should cook - something that would please her, but also enough for everyone to eat. There was plenty of fresh fruits on the table.
