A Journey to Love

The next day, Maria is playing with the kids outside.

They pleaded with her to play with them, and she just couldn't bear watch adorable kids.

She agrees with them, and she's having fun too, but the kids are way too energetic - she quickly exhaust herself.

Why Edward was nowhere to be seen inside the bungalow. But she didn't think more about it, he's probably somewhere near the beach. Since he wasn't there, she decided she would play with the kids but she quickly exhaust herself. Before he could return to her side, unbeknownst to her, he was already making his way towards her.

"Big sister, let's play some more!" The little girl said with enthusiasm. But the older child noticed Maria's tiredness. A voice echoed from behind them - it was the young master, Edward.

"Kids, why don't you go eat some pies? Look at how tired your big sister, she can't play more, I'll take her for a while. Your mom's calling you both." He said to the kids, there is indeed a sweet aroma of a delicious pie. The kids nodded their heads and hurriedly went to their mother's side for some pie.

Maria stared at him with wide eyes, even if she's tired, she doesn't mind spending time with the kids - specially the cute lil girl. She was too adorable, she just couldn't say know. But thinking about it, it may be the best if she were to exhaust herself more - she's more likely to pass out.

She took a deep breath and toss herself to his embrace. She is panting, her breath is fanning his neck, giving him chills or more likely excitement.

He carried her with ease, "I prepared something for you," he wink at her as he carried her towards the place where they have camped the first night they stayed there. The tent was set up again, there was also a small feast for them outside laid on the mattress.

Is this a picnic date? She gaze at him in a daze while her face turned beet red.

He coughed twice noticing her gazing at him in a daze, her flushed cheeks added more attractiveness to her small face.

He put her down on the mattress carefully before sitting down himself. They started eating the food together in silence, although glancing at each other time to time. After eating, he said he had something for her.

He looks at her lovingly, and took out a cupcake with a candle on top from inside the basket.

"I thought I'd make you something before we go back." He said and scratches his head, grinning at her.

"Advance happy birthday," he leaned in closer and landed a small kiss on her lips. "I love you," he said after breaking the kiss.

Maria was too overwhelmed to speak, she just sat there, face turned redder everytime he touches her face. Smiling happily as she blow up on the small candle.

She hugs him tightly and whispers, "thank you, although you don't have to do this. Being here with me is enough."

They stayed there, in that same position, feeling each other's warmth as they hug tightly. Happiness and contentment filled each other's hearts.

If only they could be always together like that..

After spending time together outside, both of them have went back inside to rest, they have to prepare for tomorrow. It'll gonna be an exhausting day, he will drive for hours or take a bus that takes hours as well.

Maria sleeps peacefully in his arms, while he wraps himself around her small frail body. And he also fall asleep with her.
