Chapter 14: Chapter 14
Later that night, inside the barn working on the tractor that is always being repaired instead of riding. The sounds of bees gradually became louder, making Leonardo look around for the source. For Clark was nodding off in his head and upon turning his head, he saw hundreds of bees heading straight for him.
Not really panicking, Leonardo's eyes turned red before a flat red beam vaporized all the bees he could see. For he felt attempting to freeze them with his breath wasn't a good choice as he hasn't practiced that ability yet, nor the mess it would make. Hence why he decided to just burn them all.
"Well, Sasha is going to be mad at her bees since they won't be back." Leonardo hummed before going back to work.
While he did feel a bit bad for all the bee keepers that their bees won't return either. He couldn't do much to solve the matter. Since he couldn't very well tell the bees to return home and watch them knock their head in a silly gesture with one of their legs before flying off.
Then for the next few hours, after reading up on various engineering books and mechanical repair. Leonardo, after making quite a few trips to various hardware stores and scrapyards, basically rebuilt the tractor from the ground up. Hence, while the body and frame were the same, the rest were replaced and slightly improved.
"There, now Clark won't complain so much about the tractor breaking down." Leonardo hummed to himself.
After finishing the tractor, he began to work on the other various parts of the farm. Such as repairing a few fences, checking the crops and cows. In truth it was just some busy work since due to Clark chores in the day time. The farm was running great and the only reason they have money issues is more to pay off both Jonathan and Martha student loans and increased bills. For once Clark began highschool, one accident after another either with one of the trucks or on the farm happened quite frequently.

Clark let out a yawn as he looked at a piece of paper, a piece he had been staring at for nearly an hour now. For the last three attempts at the speech were tossed aside. For he was fretting over unnecessary things.
"Why is writing speeches so hard? None of them sound presidential enough." Clark grumbled.
'It doesn't have to sound presidential, Clark. First of all, you're not appearing on television but in front of your classmates. Secondly, the job of class president is to help students solve their issues and present ideas to the school if a group has an idea.' Leonardo said. 'So just focus on a topic you feel strong about, like school uniforms. For example having the cute girls wear bunny suits.'
'I don't think the school would go for having girls dressed as playboy bunny models.' Clark retorted.
'As amazing that would be, it was just an example, Clark.' Leonardo sighed at the fantasy. 'Besides, a few sweet words and we might get a few to put on a personal show for us.'
Clark snapped the pen he was holding. 'No, we will not. What will happen if something happens like if we use too much strength?'
'Please, Clark. Unless you can emit your super strength through your eyes, the seat will be in more danger as you stumble to stay calm with them dancing in front.' Leonardo retorted.
'Yeah, but I don't want to be known as a playboy.' Clark angrily said.
'Clark, you claim to want to be normal far too often, but reject the things that are considered normal by horny teenagers. Yes, you have many abilities, but you are also a teenager and mortal. A certain master martial artist once said, one needs to combine work and rest. Currently you worry so much about your secret getting out, that you forget to rest.' Leonardo said before going on to suggest a few ideas.
'You need a hobby Clark. It could be reading fiction books, trying various foods from around the world, watching a game show, just something to tune out the world and not worry about who is doing who or what. There is also the option of going places where many don't know you and relax.'
'Let me guess. Yours is looking at pretty girls.' Clark snorted.
'Well, women, otherwise it sounds like silver bracelets aren't far away.' Leonardo joked.
'Whatever, I can't just up and leave things behind.' Clark said.
'Clark, I'm not telling you to go on a week-long vacation. Just take a few hours or an entire day like when I had free reign for a day. You're always so stiff and worried about everyone else, you tend to lack focus on your own needs. The longer you ignore those needs, the bigger the explosion once it breaks out.' Leonardo warned.
'Fine, after this election is over, I will go out and relax.' Clark said ending this topic.
'Great, now write some nonsense about the school uniform then head off to deal with Sasha. She sent a bunch of bees last night and I guess she wasn't happy when they didn't return.' Leonardo said.
--
Later on in the barn after finishing his speech, while working on sharpening the blades for the lawnmower. Clark noticed someone stomping into the barn. So switching off the machine and placing the blade to the side, he looked who stomped into the barn.
It was a teenage girl who had thick glasses and a scowl that made her bland appearance look terrible. Though, it was someone Clark easily recognized since she sort of threatened him moments after finding out Pete was nominated for class president. Not to mention the girl who they think is controlling the bees.
"Can I help you, Sasha?" Clark asked.
"I don't know how you did it, Kent." Sasha shouted.
"Do what? Sharpen a lawnmower blade?" Clark looked a bit confused. "Quite few know how to do it."
"No, not that. How did you get rid of all the bees!" Sasha shouted loudly.
"Raid or Hot Shot. Pretty affordable and works well." Leonardo couldn't help himself.
While Leonardo and Clark found it pretty amusing, clearly Sasha did not. For she stomped her foot like a two year old throwing a tantrum. Finally she closed her eyes and shaked for a moment almost like she was constipated.
"It doesn't matter. You may be thickened skinned, but what about your mother?" Sasha growled.
Clark reached out and tapped her forehead, knocking Sasha out before walking out of the barn. Looking out in the field where Martha was on the tractor that oddly ran better than before. He looked around for any bees, but the longer he watched, the more he was left scratching his head.
"There is nothing wrong." Clark said after nearly half an hour.
'Well, anyways, get her called in. You have things to do if you want a chance at being class president.' Leonardo said.

Later on as time passed quickly as the time for election came and went quickly. Clark was at the counter inside the talon where a party was being held for the winner of the election. He wasn't the main character, just a close second place. Though, he was the only other candidate left in the running.
"Well, I guess my speech on school uniforms didn't touch many." Clark joked.
'Maybe it for the best. You do spend quite a bit of time saving others and becoming class president will take up a lot of your time.' Leonardo lightly comforts.
'Weird that the Talon is suddenly popular and the Beanery closed down.' Clark said as he looked at the various people hanging out.
'You might want to ask Lana about that one. The Talon went from no one to the best hang out spot.' Leonardo vaguely said.
