Chapter 6: Chapter 6: And So I Will Fly
"Hahaha... That's amazing" Lucian laughed excitedly as he soared through the skies, the wind ruffling his hair.
The intoxicating feeling of freedom...
Feel the air flows...
Watch everything from above...
Such sensations are simply intoxicating.
Lucian's wings then folded, his body tilting as he dove.
Then as he approached the ground he did a somersault in the air.
And then he landed firmly on the ground. A small, muffled shockwave spread out as the ground sank slightly.
"I need to improve my landing." Lucian concluded, looking at the small crater and a large number of uprooted roots.
After all, he can't cause all this destruction every time he lands.
Stretching out one of his wings, he swung it violently into a nearby tree.
The trunk of this tree then tilted and fell, and in the near or center position, one could see a perfect incision, the incision of being cut by a very sharp blade.
'No resistance...' Lucian smiled, satisfied with the offensive capacity.
The easier he cuts, the happier he is.
And at this moment he felt his consciousness being drawn to another place, this was his familiar communicating with him and sharing his senses.
He then heard a voice saying: "Sir Lucian, dinner is ready."
Yes, it was Kie warning about dinner.
Soon his body began to shrink into a red ball, before it disappeared.
This was the first time he had used the teleportation ability.
-------------------
In a dimly lit room, a dark red gourd began to release crimson liquid.
The liquid rose into the air, before contorting and expanding, releasing Lucian's figure.
'That was an interesting experience…'
"I'm coming, Mrs. Kamado." Lucian said, putting away the gourd before leaving the room.
"...Follow me" Kie said, after being stunned for a few seconds, looking at the beautiful features of the man in front of her, his slightly wavy hair that fell and framed his face, his skin so white that it bordered on pale, crimson red eyes that seemed to shine from time to time, as well as the black kimono that fit snugly against his body. After all, it's not often that someone so beautiful appears in the mountains.
Or rather, there are rarely any people in the mountains.
'Should I?' Lucian thought, knowing the look that Kie had given him, he was already beginning to consider whether he should seduce this beautiful widow.
'I don't have lust, I just want to help a single mother.' He mentally justified herself, although it is not possible to say how true this statement is.
And Kie, seeing that Lucian had noticed her gaze, just blushed slightly before continuing to guide him towards dinner.
In a few moments they arrived at a room with a large table, sitting at the table were all the children of the Kamado family.
Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Takeo Kamado, Hanako Kamado, Shigeru Kamado and the youngest Rokuta Kamado.
A total of 6 children. Tanjuro and Kie must have worked hard.
If I had to describe them in a few words, they would be "good kids".
"These are my children." Kie introduced them briefly, before bringing Lucian a bowl and chopsticks and sitting down.
"They look like adorable kids to me." Lucian smiled as he sat down.
"And they are!" Kie said proudly before sitting down at the table.
"Thanks for the food!" Everyone at the table said before starting to devour their meals.
'Inedible!' Lucian sighed internally, the transformation into a demon changed his taste, and even though the food didn't taste like feces or rot, like some ghouls, chewing it was still like chewing wax.
'If I had the blue spider lily.'
Even though he found the food tasteless, and the texture terrible, he didn't allow it to show on his face.
"Could you tell me more about this flower?" Tanjiro, the oldest among the 6 brothers, asked Lucian, breaking the silence that hung over the table.
And even though the others didn't say anything, they still pricked up their ears and paid attention to the conversation.
"Well... They're extremely rare, this is probably the only place they have them in the entire world. They bloom only a few days a year, and only in sunlight."
"They say that it has mystical properties, capable of curing illnesses, increasing life or something similar, and from what I heard, it is being sought after by doctors, demons and demon slayers. "
Lucian said, with his slight smile intensifying when he said those who were looking for her.
"Demons and demon slayers? Do they really exist?" Tanjiro asked curiously while tilting his head slightly.
"Yes, they exist. They are hidden in the mountains, in temples and isolated huts, and some at a more advanced level disguise themselves perfectly as humans. While demon slayers walk wherever there are demons, it is quite recognizable, they carry a sword and wear a uniform."
Lucian smiled, as he simply told the truth, without any fear of any consequences it might cause.
"Th-this is s-scary..." stuttered Shigeru, only seven years old, fear in his face.
Everyone had similar reactions, after all everyone feared the fearsome human-eating demons.
Interestingly, the one who expressed least fear was Rokuta, the youngest among everyone present, perhaps because he simply did not understand the meaning of "demon".
"But why are you looking for this flower?" Nezuko asked, after hesitating for a moment as she digested what she had heard.
"To cure a terrible disease that has been afflicting me for much time" Lucian replied, after all vulnerability to the sun is certainly a serious condition.
"I see, I hope you can find her." Nezuko nodded upon hearing Lucian's words, with her gentle personality pity and concern couldn't help but appear deep in her eyes.
"I hope so too." Lucian smiled as he looked at the girl's face.
"Tanjiro help me move the table." A while after the conversation ended, Kie asked, getting ready to wash the dishes.
"Yes, mom!" Quickly replied Tanjiro as he stood up.
"Should I help with something?" Lucian asked as he watched them get busy.
