Chapter 5: Chapter 5: I Have Wings
"Mother! This gentleman is looking for you." Nezuko spoke a little louder, calling her her mother, Kie Kamado.
In a few seconds Kie appeared, her appearance being basically an older Nezuko, just as beautiful, but with a mature charm, and the only big difference being her dark purple eyes.
"How can I help you?" Kie asked as she watched Lucian, curious as to what would make him climb the mountain.
"I'm looking for a flower, the blue spider lily. That's how she is." Lucian said, before showing an image.
"I heard news that this flower appeared on this mountain. It is very rare and only blooms a few days a year, I want to ask you to let me know if you see it, of course I am willing to pay for it." Lucian added, with a slight smile on his face.
"You're lucky, she usually appears at the end of summer, so she'll probably appear at the end of the month." Kie said, keeping the gentle smile on his face.
'Then it blooms at a time close to the red spider lily.'
Joy was on Lucian's face when he said: "If there's no problem, I intend to stay at your house until I get the flower. But don't worry, there will definitely be adequate payment."
Yes, he is already having ulterior motives.
After all, the breath of the sun is very tempting.
The only question is: to kill or not to kill?
Killing Tanjiro would be extremely easy and quick to extract the related memories, but it is impossible for him to do that at the moment.
If he did, he would never obtain the blue spider lily.
But without killing him, how would he obtain solar breath? Coming up and saying "teach me the dance that your ancestors passed down from generation to generation"?
Not talking about how weird that would be, it's still another matter whether Tanjiro would actually teach the Hinokami Kagura to a stranger.
Traditions have always been an important thing in Japan, and even in places where traditions are not taken so seriously, it would be difficult to pass on an inheritance to strangers.
'...Another way would be to turn him into a demon.'
"The house is not big, I don't think you would feel comfortable staying here." Kie said, with obvious hesitation on his face.
"It's okay, I'm not very picky." Lucian insisted.
And after much hesitation, Kie nodded: "Okay, you can stay for these days."
"Then I thank you in advance."
After that, Kie guided Lucian around the house, showing him the important places like the kitchen and bathroom.
'Even though I no longer need to use the bathroom, I still miss modern plumbing and sanitation.'
"This will be your room." Kie said as he stopped in a specific room.
"Thank you" Lucian smiled as he entered the room and closed the door shortly afterwards.
A tentacle appeared behind him, quickly shooting out and closing the window, before turning to ash in the air.
'It really is tiring to escape the light while pretending to be a human.'
Having nothing better to do, Lucian sat down and returned to his arduous training.
Two additional limbs emerged from its back, stretched, and then branched out like roots, forming a dense network of biological material, transforming into a base for wings.
Then skin began to appear, covering each hole. When the wings were like bat wings, muscles began to contort and spread under the skin, reinforcing and finishing them.
Just like the wings of a dragon, these wings were large and powerful, with a shade of black reminiscent of the night itself and crimson details that looked like veins.
'In theory this can be used to fly... As for practice, only at night will I be able to confirm.'
With a simple thought, the wings quickly retracted onto Lucian's back.
Even though it seemed quick during the description, creating these wings actually took hours.
They were carefully planned and constructed, designed to be light and aerodynamic, with an overall structure that guaranteed resistance.
And most IMPORTANT of all, the beautiful design. The perfect blend of black and crimson, the sharp lines and edges that gave it a menacing and powerful feel.
And finally, sharp edges that have a dual purpose, both being aesthetically pleasing and being sharp enough to serve as a blade.
'I really am a genius!' Lucian boasted internally.
Then, he summoned a gourd into his right hand and began to analyze.
"I can create several monsters... maybe I'll think of a name for them later, but there is a limit to how many I can have at the same time, at the moment the maximum is 100."
"As for the ability to generate blood, it's not something infinite like 'wow! I generate blood, with this blood I use kekkijutsu and generate more blood, I'm invincible muahahaha', it's more like I'm exchanging high quality blood for low quality."
"I can't use the low-quality one as fuel for kekkijutsu, but I can use it in conjunction with my blood manipulation, basically attacking enemies with a 'river of blood'."
"This reminds me a little of an element from xianxia stories, the blood essence. The blood essence would be a special blood that is charged with vitality."
"This skill can be said to exchange blood essence for normal blood. Unfortunately it becomes a little less poisonous."
"... I can use a gourd as an emergency blood supply... I will also try to position several of them in different places, so I can escape in extreme situations. "
"Then I need to test to see if there is any distance limit for the effectiveness of teleportation."
Some would say it's a lot of caution, but don't forget that Muzan despaired twice in Kimetsu no Yaiba's work.
The first was with Yoriichi, in which he was completely dominated in the head-to-head confrontation.
The second was when he was given the anti-Muzan drug manufactured by Tamayo, and then dragged until sunrise.
Why did this happen? Simple, he abandoned caution.
What if another freak like Yoriichi emerged because of Lucian's appearance?
Therefore he should always remain alert.
Even though this world appears to have nothing that threatens it at the moment, who knows the future?
In addition, he will also go to other worlds, which will possess various supernatural powers, that is, one mistake and everything can be lost.
Arrogance brings ruin.
While those who prepared themselves still have a chance of coming out on top even in complicated situations.
"Oh! The sun has set." Lucian noticed, and then stealthily left, leaving only a gourd and a familiar in the small room.
The familiar to alert you if Kie or another member of the Kamado family arrived at the door, and the gourd to return to the room, at the same time as testing the existence of distance limits.
