A Demon King Through The Worlds

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Attack 3

"You are not Muzan Kibutsuji, so who are you?" Kagaya asked vigilantly at the black-haired man who will appear in front of her, his black suit elegantly arranged.

He will appear to be a normal successful businessman, but it would be impossible for a normal businessman to appear at the Demon Slayers Corps base, especially when it was under attack by enemy forces.

Kagaya knew that this man must be one of the demon commanders, but where was Muzan?

"Muzan died a while ago," Lucian replied, his voice unchanged as he sat across from Kagaya.

He casually picked up a cup and poured himself some tea.

With the familiarity of his movements, many would think that Kagaya and Lucian were old friends, but the real situation was far from that.

"He died? As?" Kagaya's voice trembled as she asked this question, how could this ancient demon king just die?

"Naturally unusual causes. It's natural, but unusual" Lucian said, before quickly explaining his words.

A dimensional trip like the one he made is really something unusual.

Almost impossible to be precise, and probably never done before.

"Anyway, now that I'm the new demon king." Lucian stated, as he took a sip from his cup.

"Who would have thought that the mission that the Ubuyashiki family carried for centuries would end like this…" Kagaya sighed, after so much effort, in the end someone else killed Muzan and replaced him.

"What happened to Sanemi?" Kagaya then asked, it was impossible for Sanemi to allow Lucian to enter.

So there were only two possibilities, Sanemi was incapacitated or killed.

Both being very bad for him.

"He is fighting a higher moon, Akaza. He's not dead yet, but he won't come out of this fight alive" Lucian replied, smiling.

"...You must have prepared everything to destroy the Demon Slayers Corps tonight, right?" Even though Kagaya didn't know Lucian, he still had a feeling that the man in front of him wasn't someone reckless.

"You are correct, the entire area is surrounded, no one will make it out alive." Lucian nodded.

"...Why haven't you killed me yet?" Kagaya asked, his head bowed, he knew they probably couldn't escape a tragic end tonight.

"Where I come from there is a saying: 'winning is not everything, it is also necessary to humiliate your opponent'. That's why I'm here with that in mind" Lucian said, his smile becoming evil.

What could be more cruel than rubbing in Kagaya's face how futile his efforts were?

How easily he was able to destroy everything Kagaya had worked for her entire life.

"I understand." Kagaya nodded, before activating a mechanism beneath her desk.

Boom! Flames shot into the sky and debris flew.

Just like in the original work, Kagaya preferred to kill herself rather than allow a demon to do so.

Lucian, who was thrown at least 20 meters away, slowly stood up, a layer of ash and dust falling from his crimson armor.

'BloodArmor no.2 passed the test' he thought as he analyzed his armor's damage.

Even though it had received the high temperature and high impact of Kagaya's explosion, the armor was still intact.

He had created the first version some time after obtaining the blue spider lily, it was made completely of blood, highly flexible and malleable, but weak against high temperature and cutting or penetrating attacks.

The second version he created a few days ago, adding bone fragments to the composition, which exponentially increased the resistance to high temperatures and compensated for the other weaknesses that no.1 had, while maintaining flexibility.

"He thought an explosion and some wisteria would cause me major injuries." Lucian sneered as he shook his head, his mouth curled in contempt.

Then he passed his hand over his shoulder lightly, brushing off the dust that was still on it.

Soon after he decided to head towards his next target - Gyuu Tomioka.

Kokushibo was fighting Gyomei, Akaza was fighting Kyojuro Rengoku and Sanemi Shinazugawa, while Gyuutaro and Daki, who were much weaker, were fighting Obanai Iguro.

As for why he personally deals with Gyuu, of course it is because of the special characteristics of water breathing, perhaps he has not yet developed the eleventh style, but the ability to overcome the hard with the soft still exists.

Therefore taking these characteristics into consideration, Lucian would fight Gyuu himself, both because others would have difficulty hurting him, and because he wanted to copy water breathing.

Then he rushed to Gyuu's position, who was helping other demon slayers in fighting Lucian's soldiers.

In another place not too far away.

"Try to protect yourself with something!" Gyuu shouted, looking at both the armed demons and his fellow demon slayers.

He himself was behind a thick pillar alongside another demon slayer.

Even if he was able to repel or dodge the bullets, this process would be highly exhausting for him.

On the other hand, killing these demons has been an incredibly difficult task, as they have long-range weapons, making approaching them almost impossible, leaving demon slayers, who are equipped with katanas, at a disadvantage.

Looking at the constantly approaching demon, almost making the angle favorable for shooting, Gyuu had to make a decision quickly.

Then, he jumped from the position he was in, used his sword to counter the bullet coming towards him, and running as fast as lightning, he arrived in front of the demon.

Like a powerful swing, his sword felt like the flow of water from a large waterfall, and it easily cut through the demon's neck.

Upon seeing this scene, the humans present were about to celebrate, when something shocking happened.

The demon that had been decapitated reached out with its left hand, grabbed its flying head and placed it back on its neck, closing the wound without even changing its expression.

With his face unchanging and his eyes still empty, the demon just raised his gun and fired again, completely unfazed.

This was the advantage of having emotionless soldiers, they feared nothing, did not retreat without receiving an order, never rebelled and were highly effective, with a few exceptions.

However, such a detail was completely irrelevant in the current situation, and the only order they had was to kill everyone they saw.

Upon seeing such an event never seen before, the demon slayers began to despair. They could be strong-hearted enough to stand firm even after the explosions that happened.

However, a demon that could survive decapitation?! How could they kill a demon who doesn't fear decapitation by nichirin?

How could they beat someone who doesn't get tired and can't be killed?

Seeing the approach of those demons with cold expressions and red eyes, Gyuu had no choice but to give the order.

"Retreat!" He jumped back, opening the distance.

With his sword in hand, he intended to cover the retreat of his companions.
