Chapter 9 - Will Mr. Han Get Drunk on A Noisy Night? I
Although there had been a lot of weird things surrounding him recently, maybe because of Han Zhuo’s presence, Bai Xi wasn’t too worried. He went out early and came back late every day to work overtime, only to get his fledgling company on the right track as soon as possible.
Two months passed quickly, and the weather gradually turned cooler. At two o’clock in the morning, the office building was deserted. Han Zhuo put a cup of hot milk on his desk and asked, “Are you going to sleep in the company again?”
“It’s already so late?” Bai Xi looked at the time and said, “Forget it. Let’s sleep in the lounge.”
“You’ve been too tired recently,” Han Zhuo sat opposite him, “You must pay attention to the balance between work and rest.”
“Yeah,” Bai Xi said perfunctorily and stretched hard, “My back is so sore. It hurts. Let’s find another chair tomorrow.”
“It has nothing to do with the chair,” Han Zhuo handed over the milk cup, “Drink it, and then I’ll accompany you to the attic to get some fresh air.”
“Attic?” Bai Xi refused, “I won’t go. According to the movies, there is either a murder in the middle of the night, or adulterers doing bad thing, which is not a good thing anyway.”
“If there is a killer, we can call the police, if someone was having an affair, then we’d hide and watch the excitement,” Han Zhuo pulled him and pressed the elevator button, “Anyway, if you stayed in the office any longer, you will be a mold soon.”
“Hiding to watch an affair?” Bai Xi seemed refreshed, “I don’t know, you actually have obscene hobbies.”
What a beast in clothes.
The elevator stopped steadily on the thirty-ninth floor.
Of course, there was no one having an affair. There was only the cold starlight that filled the top floor and the bright neon lights of the city in the distance. The sky was magically divided into two parts here, one half was silence as thick as blue velvet, while the other half was dyed dark red by the eternal lights.
The Milky Way and cloud rings were entwined with each other, magnificent and majestic. In the memory of his previous twenty years, Bai Xi had never noticed that the sky at night was not just pitch black, but that there were so many overlapping and gradual colors blending together.
The wind was strong and cold, so Han Zhuo took off his coat and wrapped it gently around him.
“Thank you,” Bai Xi turned to look at him and asked, “But weren’t you cold?”
“I rarely felt cold,” Han Zhuo replied, “Unless I was sick.”
Bai Xi commented: “You are a very strange person.”
“Maybe,” Han Zhuo smiled, his eyes still focused on the vast galaxy in the distance.
Another gust of cold wind blew, and Bai Xi shivered unconsciously.
Han Zhuo came to his senses: “Let’s go back, it’s too cold here.”
“I’m so dizzy and don’t want to work,” Bai Xi leaned in the elevator and suddenly asked after a while, “Hey, what’s the name of the bar you often went to?”
“Bar?” Han Zhuo was stunned, then shook his head, “You’re not allowed to go.”
“Why?” Bai Xi was confused, “I’m not a minor, can’t I just drink a glass of wine?”
“It’s rare to free time, if I were you, I would choose to have a good sleep,” Han Zhuo was very patient, “Instead of going to the bar to get drunk.”
“People don’t always get drunk in the bar. We can have a couple of drinks and relax.” Bai Xi forced him away and asked him to walk forward, “Why are you so weird? Tell me honestly, what did you do in the bar before?! Let me go and check carefully.”
Mr. Han: “…”
.
The city roads at night were smooth, and the silver sports car made a low sound. The sound floated out in a beautiful arc in the parking lot, and finally parked firmly into the parking space.
“How was it?” Bai Xi unbuckled his seat belt and said proudly, “My driving skills are no worse than yours, right?”
“It was good, but it was also very dangerous,” Han Zhuo replied, “You can only drive this time, it won’t be the same next time.”
As soon as the glass door opened, there was a huge wave of sound, the rose-colored lights were blurry and dreamy, and the ceiling was covered with star-like projections. Alcohol burned their noses and made everyone crazy. People drank, sang, screamed, and enjoyed themselves as if they were in another world.
“Hello, Mr. Han.” The bartender took out a tray from behind the counter and smiled with pointed fangs. “Two Tequila, I’ll treat you.”
“It seems like you’ve been visiting a lot,” Bai Xi said, muttering, “You actually got free drink.”
“It’s not a big deal,” Han Zhuo asked for French fries and onion rings for them, “But you can’t drink too much, tomorrow—”
“Tomorrow is Saturday,” Bai Xi cut off the words and clinked the wine glasses with him, “But don’t worry, I won’t let myself get drunk in a strange place.”
“This is not a strange place, little cutie,” someone behind them suddenly answered, and then there was a weird soft surging touch, before Bai Xi could react, Daisy giggled and let him go, then opened her arms and hugged Han Zhuo warmly, “Thank you for taking care of my business again, little handsome guy.”
“I just told you not to show up tonight no matter what,” Mr. Han gritted his teeth, sounding like he wanted to swallow every word.
“But little fool, this is my territory, so theoretically, I can appear anywhere anytime,” Daisy teased charmingly in his ear, her upper body as soft as boneless, and the visual effect of her low-cut dress was also very shocking.
Bai Xi’s mood was complicated, and he couldn’t bear to see what was going on.
Han Zhuo held Daisy hostage and walked directly through the crowd to another corner.
Bai Xi: “…”
‘Good brother, do you know that this puts more emphasis on sex before friends?’
