Chapter 32 - The Secret of The Junkyard I
It was a very cold night, and the cold wind almost froze the moon.
The intermittent crying of the baby continued, and as the distance approached, the sound became clearer and clearer. It was dry, torn, and painful, as if it had been tortured by the devil. However, the horror did not stop there. As Han Zhuo hurriedly walked around a factory, a sharp howl suddenly sounded in his ears, followed immediately by a pair of cold and dry hands that strongly grabbed his windbreaker.
“Please, save me,” the other party cried in panic, her seaweed-like long pink hair falling to the ground. When she raised her head, her face looked pale and distorted under the moonlight. She was a young woman in her twenties.
A bullet came from behind her.
A cold light flashed in Han Zhuo’s eyes. He put his left hand around the girl’s waist and gently pulled her counterclockwise. At the same time, his right hand quickly blocked her back and held the tube of cold liquid.
Though not shot by the anesthesia gun, the girl’s body still twitched, as soft as a slender fish on the verge of death. She had no clothes on, only wrapped in a dirty sheet. Blood flowed down her legs, leaving glaring traces on the concrete floor.
Han Zhuo picked her up and asked, “Who are you? Do you have any family?” But the girl just struggled and sobbed, her slender legs kicking constantly, unable to utter another word. Even her hair was covered in blood, panting with her mouth open. Her eyes were full of fear of death, gradually succumbing until the last ray of light faded and she fell into silence.
A beam of light shone in front of him.
Han Zhuo held the girl’s body and raised his head coldly.
Wu Zigang sighed from the bottom of his heart and said, “It’s a pity that our first meeting was this way. Hello, Mr. Han.”
“This is indeed your place.” Han Zhuo didn’t look too surprised, his face devoid of any expression. He bent down, gently placing the girl on the bench and taking off his windbreaker to cover her naked body.
“I will make her funeral quiet and dignified,” Wu Zigang offered.
“On the dissecting table?” Han Zhuo asked with a sneer.
“I have no intention of dissecting her,” Wu Zigang denied, then added, “Because her body has no value anymore, it’s not worth wasting resources.”
“She has no value. What is valuable is the child she just gave birth to?” Han Zhuo pulled out his pistol. “It seems Daisy’s judgment was wrong. There’s no difference between you and Shi Tian.”
Wu Zigang placed the flashlight on the ground and slowly raised his hands. The pair of bloody gloves didn’t seem to fear the black muzzle on the opposite side. “Whether you want to believe it or not, I harbor no malice toward this poor girl. But at the same time, I admit her child is indeed very… suitable.”
“Suitable as an experimental subject?” Han Zhuo said. “There’s no essential difference between a frank villain and a hypocritical gentleman. Even if you admit everything, you’re no more noble than Shi Tian.”
“You’re unfairly prejudiced against me, Mr. Han.” Wu Zigang shook his head, picked up the flashlight, and extended an invitation again. “And I am sincere. To prove it, I’m even willing to invite you into my field, to freely explore all the plans and secrets of the third laboratory.”
“Who is this girl?” Han Zhuo asked.
“A superpower, 18 years old, considered an unwanted nuisance by humans, in a puppy love affair, smokes, uses drugs, and had an abortion,” Wu Zigang said. “This is her third pregnancy; her boyfriend couldn’t afford to send her to the hospital, so she ended up in my clinic.”
“But you chose to deceive her, comforting her with sweet words just to get this child,” Han Zhuo said. “It’s no surprise you did the same with your biological daughter.”
“There was no deception; the abortion was scheduled with her,” Wu Zigang explained. “But the embryo developed unusually fast, taking less than two months from conception to delivery.”
Han Zhuo said, “So you’re obsessed again?”
“You should also be excited, Mr. Han. This is a milestone for the reproduction and growth of our kind. We can use this to pressure the human government, urging them to expel superpowers to prevent their takeover,” Wu Zigang’s eyes once again emitted twisted black flames. Glancing at the girl on the bench, he added, “I know better than anyone, she was eager to survive. It was her fault tonight; after seeing the new deformed monster, she screamed and struggled to escape, causing massive bleeding.”
Han Zhuo asked, “The new deformed monster?”
“Oh? You can see him in person.” Wu Zigang turned and walked back, “The entrance is here, please, follow me.”
“Where is your daughter?” Han Zhuo walked behind him.
“I haven’t forgotten Mrs. Daisy’s advice, but it hasn’t been a week yet,” Wu Zigang said, pressing the door remote control. His tone sounded like that of a loving father. “Xiaojuan is doing well now and has gradually started to accept reality. Thank you for your concern.”

Villa.
After Bai Xi finished handling all the work at hand, he looked up at the time again. It was already past three in the morning.
What could be taking so long to discuss?
Bai Xi was a little worried. Though Han Zhuo had mentioned he might be out all night, he usually answered his phone. But this time, it just went to voicemail.
Losing contact in the middle of the night was unsettling, even for someone as powerful and invincible as Mr. Han.
After thinking for a while, Bai Xi called the bar on Qiye Road again.
“Hello, I’m looking for Mrs. Daisy. Is it convenient for her to answer the phone now?”
The voice from the receiver was noisy and chaotic. The bartender chewed gum loudly and asked, “Who are you? Do you have an appointment?”
“My surname is Bai, maybe—”
“Your surname is Bai? Okay, okay, she’s very free,” the bartender girl interrupted impatiently. She whistled and shouted, “Boss, your ‘Little Sweetheart’ is calling!”
Bai Xi: “…”
Daisy was surprised by the late-night call. She chuckled and asked, “Has Han Zhuo done something to upset you again? Don’t worry, take your time to talk. I’ll help you teach him a lesson—or should I just get him on the phone? What do you think?”
Bai Xi asked with concern, “Didn’t he come to see you tonight?”
“Huh?” Daisy hesitated for a moment but quickly recovered with a smile. “Of course, he just left a minute ago.”
“Auntie,” Bai Xi sounded a bit irritated, “I’m serious. I’m worried about him, and I don’t want you to joke around.”
Daisy: “…”
Already figured out so soon?
“He said he wanted to discuss Zhao Xiaojuan’s matters with you tonight. He left home at 7:30 and hasn’t returned since,” Bai Xi continued, “His phone is off, and I can’t reach him at all.”
“Alright, alright, don’t worry yet,” Daisy stubbed out her cigarette. “Let me think about where he might have gone, and I’ll give you an answer in ten minutes, okay?”
“Okay.” Bai Xi asked again, “Is there anything I should do?”
“The only thing you should do right now is not to run around and cause more trouble,” Daisy advised. “Just relax and wait for my call.”
Bai Xi agreed, her voice sounding extremely tense, as if she was overly worried.
