YGGDRASIL GM

Chapter 1: The Admin’s Awakening

In the early days of Yggdrasil, when the game was still finding its footing, a group of seven players emerged as legends.players who had started their journey when the game was new. But through sheer dedication, skill, and countless hours of grinding, they rose to become some of the most feared and respected figures in the game. Their stories were etched into the very fabric of Yggdrasil, and their guild, THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS, became a symbol of power and infamy.

Kaeltharion – The Sin of Pride

The leader of the guild, Kaeltharion was a human warrior known for his arrogance, sharp tongue, and unmatched skill. He had a reputation for mocking other players, often taunting them in PvP battles or during raids. But beneath his toxic exterior was a player of unparalleled talent. He was the first and only player to defeat a World-Level Boss solo, a feat he recorded and shared online. The video broke the internet, earning him the title "GM (Game Master)" and cementing his place as a legend. The developers, impressed by his skill and the attention he brought to the game, granted him Admin privileges, allowing him to create content while ensuring he didn't abuse his power. Despite being the only human in the guild, Kaeltharion skill made him a force to be reckoned with, capable of standing toe-to-toe with the other six members.

Morgrath – The Sin of Wrath

A demonic berserker, Morgrath was a whirlwind of destruction on the battlefield. His rage was legendary, and his attacks were said to shake the very earth. He had a short temper and a love for chaos, often starting fights just for the thrill of it.

Lilithara – The Sin of Lust

A succubus enchantress, Lilithara was as beautiful as she was deadly. She specialized in charm and mind-control spells, bending both enemies and allies to her will. Her cunning and seductive nature made her a master manipulator, both in-game and in the community.

Greedon – The Sin of Greed

A dragonkin merchant, Greedon was obsessed with wealth and rare items. He had amassed one of the largest collections of legendary gear in the game, often trading or selling it for exorbitant prices. His hoard was said to rival the treasures of entire kingdoms.

Gluttonyx – The Sin of Gluttony

A monstrous ogre, Gluttonyx was known for his insatiable appetite—both for food and for destruction. He wielded a massive cleaver and could devour enemies to regain health. His sheer size and strength made him a terrifying opponent.

Slotharis – The Sin of Sloth

A shadowy wraith, Slotharis was the embodiment of lethargy. He rarely moved from his throne in the guild hall, but when he did, his enemies regretted it. His abilities focused on debuffs and slowing down opponents, making them as sluggish as he was.

Envyra – The Sin of Envy

A shapeshifting doppelganger, Envyra could mimic the abilities and appearance of any player or NPC. She was driven by jealousy, always seeking to steal the strengths of others. Her unpredictable nature made her a dangerous wildcard.

Despite having only seven members, THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS held the rank #1 Guild in Yggdrasil for years. They dominated every leader-board, from PvP tournaments to raid completions. Their battles against other top guilds, like the Mercenary Magicians Guild, HERO LEGION, and AINZ OOAL GOWN, were the stuff of legend. Each victory only added to their mystique, and their guild hall became a pilgrimage site for aspiring players.

But as the years passed, the guild's activity waned. The members drifted apart, their real lives taking precedence over the game. Kaeltharion, once the face of the guild, found himself alone in the grand cathedral-like hall, surrounded by memories of their glory days.

The final seconds of Yggdrasil ticked away. Kaeltharion sat in his guild hall, a grand cathedral-like structure adorned with golden banners and stained-glass windows depicting his greatest victories. The hall was empty now, his guild-mates long gone, leaving only the echoes of their laughter and the memories of their conquests. His character, a towering figure of perfection, stood at the center of it all—an 8-foot-tall warrior with a muscular, athletic build, his blond hair flowing like liquid gold, his crimson eyes glowing with an eerie light. His thick beard framed a jawline so sharp it could cut through steel, and his presence exuded an aura of undeniable authority.

He stared at the logout button, his finger hovering over it. The game had been his life for years, and now it was ending.

"Just one more minute," he muttered, his deep, resonant voice filling the empty hall. "One more minute to say goodbye."

But as the clock struck midnight, the world didn't go dark. Instead, a blinding light engulfed him. It was as if the sun had exploded in his face, and for a moment, he felt weightless, untethered from reality. Then, with a sudden jolt, his senses returned. He felt the ground beneath his feet, the cool breeze on his skin, the scent of grass and earth filling his nostrils. The light faded, and he found himself standing in a vast, open field.

Kaeltharion blinked, his crimson eyes scanning his surroundings. The sky above was a brilliant blue, dotted with fluffy white clouds. The field stretched out in all directions, dotted with wildflowers and tall, swaying grass. In the distance, he could see the towering walls of a city.

"What the hell…?" he growled, his voice deeper than ever. He looked down at his hands, flexing his fingers.

The golden letters hovered in his vision, their glow unmistakable. Kaeltharion stared at them, his mind struggling to process what he was seeing. This wasn't part of the game—not the Yggdrasil he knew. The messages were too real, too vivid, as if they were etched into his very consciousness.

"What… is this?" he muttered, his deep voice tinged with unease. He reached out, as if to touch the words, but they dissolved into golden light, leaving only the faintest shimmer in the air.

A wave of disbelief washed over him. This couldn't be real. It had to be a dream—or worse, some kind of afterlife. Had he died? Was this some bizarre purgatory where he was trapped in a twisted version of the game he loved?

"Am I… dead?" he whispered, his voice barely audible. He clenched his fists, feeling the strength in his muscles, the texture of his skin. It all felt so real. Too real. But how could it be?

He crouched down, pressing his hand against the ground. The grass was cool and damp, the soil firm beneath his fingers. He inhaled deeply, the scent of earth and wildflowers filling his lungs. His senses were overwhelmed, every detail sharper, more vivid than anything he had ever experienced in Yggdrasil.

"No," he said, shaking his head. "This isn't a dream. Dreams aren't this… complete."

The realization hit him like a thunderclap. This wasn't a dream, and he wasn't dead. He was alive, in a world that defied explanation. A world where his GM powers were real, where he could shape reality itself.

A slow grin spread across his face, his crimson eyes gleaming with a mix of excitement and disbelief. "Well, this is… unexpected."

As Kaeltharion stood in the field, the weight of his new reality settling in, his mind drifted to the people he had left behind. Faces and names flashed through his thoughts, each one a reminder of the life he had lost.

There was Elena, his younger sister, with her infectious laugh and boundless curiosity. She had always looked up to him, even when he was too absorbed in the game to give her the attention she deserved. He wondered if she was okay, if she was still waiting for him to come home.

And Marcus, his best friend since childhood. They had shared everything—dreams, struggles, and countless adventures in Yggdrasil. Marcus had been the one to pull him out of his shell, to remind him that there was more to life than just the game. But as the years went by, even Marcus had drifted away.

Then there was his mother, the woman who had raised him with unwavering love and patience. She had always believed in him, even when he doubted himself. She was the one who had encouraged him to pursue his passions, whether it was gaming or anything else. But as he became more engrossed in Yggdrasil, he had grown distant, too focused on his virtual achievements to appreciate the real-life support she provided. He had let her go, too caught up in his own world to realize how much she meant to him.

Tears started dropping from his eyes, silent yet heavy, as the weight of his regret pressed against his chest.

Kaeltharion clenched his fists, his chest tightening with a mix of regret and longing. "I hope you're all okay," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "Wherever you are… I'm sorry I couldn't be there."

For a moment, he allowed himself to grieve—for the life he had lost, for the people he had left behind. But then he straightened, his crimson eyes hardening with resolve. He couldn't change the past, but he could make the most of the present. This new world was his now, and he would carve out a place for himself in it.

The golden letters that had appeared in his vision—[GM Privileges Activated], [World Edit: Available], and the rest—still lingered in his mind, their implications both thrilling and daunting. He needed to test the limits of his powers, to understand what he was truly capable of in this new world.

He started small. First, he focused on his physical abilities. With a thought, he activated [Enhanced Agility] and broke into a sprint. The world blurred around him as he shot across the field, his speed far beyond anything a normal human could achieve. He leaped into the air, soaring dozens of meters high before landing gracefully, the impact barely registering in his powerful legs. He threw a punch at the air, the force of it creating a visible shockwave that rippled through the grass.

Next, he turned to elemental manipulation. Holding out his hand, he summoned a small flame, its warmth flickering in his palm. With a flick of his wrist, he extinguished it and conjured a sphere of water, which he shaped into a perfect orb before letting it splash to the ground. He repeated the process with wind, creating a miniature whirlwind that danced around him, and then with earth, causing a small mound of soil to rise and reshape itself at his command.

Satisfied with the basics, he escalated to more advanced abilities. He created a barrier of light, a shimmering dome that surrounded him, impenetrable and radiant. He tested [Telekinesis], lifting a nearby boulder and sending it soaring into the distance. He even experimented with [Time Dilation], slowing the world around him to a crawl while he moved at normal speed. The sensation was disorienting but exhilarating.

Throughout it all, he was careful not to draw too much attention. He kept his experiments contained, his displays of power subtle enough to avoid detection but significant enough to confirm his capabilities.

Once he felt confident in his control over his abilities, he turned his attention to the distant city. Its towering walls loomed on the horizon, a testament to the kingdom's strength and prosperity. He needed to get inside, to learn more about this world and its inhabitants. But the gates were heavily guarded, and his towering, imposing figure would undoubtedly raise alarms if he tried to enter openly.

As he approached the city, a carriage rumbled past him, heading toward the gates. The gates swung open fully to allow the carriage entry, and Kaeltharion seized the opportunity. He activated [Absolute Invisibility], feeling the familiar shift in the air as the world seemed to forget he existed. He moved swiftly, his footsteps silent as he strode alongside the carriage, entering the city unnoticed as the gates remained open.

The guards at the gate exchanged confused glances. One of them, a grizzled veteran with a weathered face, frowned and turned to his companion. "Did you see that? I could've sworn there was someone standing out there a moment ago."

His companion, a younger guard with a clean-shaven face, shrugged. "I thought I saw something too, but... it must've been nothing. Maybe the heat's playing tricks on us."

Kaeltharion smirked as he listened to their conversation, his invisibility holding strong. He moved deeper into the city, his sharp eyes taking in every detail. The streets were bustling with activity—merchants hawking their wares, children playing in the alleys, and townsfolk going about their daily lives. The air was filled with the scent of fresh bread, spices, and the occasional whiff of something less pleasant.

He deactivated his invisibility in a secluded alley, ensuring no one was around to witness his sudden appearance. His towering figure and striking features would undoubtedly draw attention, but he had ways to mitigate that. With a thought, he activated [NPC Customization], altering his appearance to something less conspicuous. His blond hair turned silver-white, his crimson eyes shifted to a piercing, cat-like yellow, and his imposing frame slimmed down to 6'3 ft, though he retained an athletic build. His jawline became more angular, his face marked by a faint scar or two, and his overall demeanor took on the rugged, weathered look of a seasoned warrior. He lowered his height slightly, making him less imposing but still commanding. At the same time, he concealed his aura, suppressing its overwhelming presence and making it indistinguishable from that of a normal human.

His attire shifted, morphing into sleek, form-fitting armor of dark leather and reinforced scales. The armor was a dark, muted green, etched with intricate patterns that balanced flexibility and protection. A high collar and layered plating gave him a sharp, predatory look, while the reinforced gauntlets and boots hinted at readiness for combat. A pair of swords rested on his back, their hilts wrapped in dark leather. The ensemble was both practical and striking—the kind worn by a warrior who had survived countless battles.

He looked like a hardened adventurer, someone who had weathered the worst the world could throw at him and emerged stronger for it. Satisfied with his new appearance, he stepped out of the alley and into the bustling streets, ready to blend in and gather the information he needed.

Kaeltharion stepped out of the alley, his new appearance blending seamlessly with the crowd. The city was alive with activity, and he moved with purpose, his sharp eyes scanning the surroundings as he adjusted to the rhythm of the streets. He needed to find the Adventurers Guild—a hub of information and resources that would undoubtedly serve his purposes.

Activating his system interface, Kaeltharion muttered under his breath, "Map to the Adventurers Guild," his voice low but audible. A translucent overlay appeared in his vision, highlighting a path through the winding streets. Just as he began to follow the map, an elderly man with a hunched back and a cane shuffled past him. The man paused, glancing at Kaeltharion with a curious expression.

"Did you say something about the Adventurers Guild, young man?" the old man asked, his voice raspy but kind.

Kaeltharion hesitated, caught off guard. He hadn't intended to speak aloud, but the man's timing was uncanny. "Ah, yes," he replied, recovering quickly. "I'm looking for the guild. Do you know the way?"

The old man chuckled "Of course, of course. Everyone knows where the guild is. Head straight down this road until you reach the fountain with the statue of the winged knight. Take a left there, then follow the street until you see a large building with a banner bearing a sword and shield. That's the guild. Can't miss it."

Kaeltharion nodded, though he had no intention of deviating from the system's map. Still, he appreciated the old man's effort. "Thank you," he said politely. "I'll head that way."

The old man waved a hand dismissively. "Good luck to you, adventurer. The guild's always looking for capable folk like yourself." With that, he shuffled off, leaving Kaeltharion to his mission.

Kaeltharion watched him go for a moment, then turned his attention back to the system's map. The path it outlined was slightly different from the old man's directions, but it seemed more efficient. He followed the glowing trail, weaving through the bustling streets with ease. The city was a maze of cobblestone roads, towering buildings, and vibrant market stalls, but the map guided him unerringly.
