Chapter 57- Shopping time!
"I have to do what...?" It was not like I didn't hear Akira for the first time but the words were so unbelievable that I couldn't help but confirm it.
"Offo, Haru-kun, you are reacting like you are told to meet the prime minister or something. It's just my family you have to introduce yourself to."
No, no, no Akira-chan. Meeting the Prime Minister would have been much easier than what you are asking me for. Although I wanted to say that knowing how insecure she always tends to be toward our relationship, I swallowed the words and kept my expression stable.
To think that a day ago I planned to leave Akira once and for all and now I was asked to meet her family and get our relationship accepted by them...indeed ridiculous. Something I might never have even dreamt of.
If not for Akira almost wrapped around my arm when she broke the news, I might have blanked out.
"Wait...Minami-san?! Are we going there right now?!" The car was not moving in the direction of Takahashi mansion but better safe than sorry.
"The meeting is tomorrow and please collect yourself Haruto. You are all over the place."
I gulped and nestled in my seat before mouthing "Sorry... "She's scary as ever.
"Stop being so grumpy Minami. It's understandable that Haru-kun would be nervous. More like, I am happy that he is like this since it shows Haru-kun is taking our relationship seriously as well. "
Aren't you supposed to say it inwardly, Akira? And after what happened last night, there was no way I can think about leaving you or taking this thing between us, casually.
Nevertheless, having her by my side is enough to give me mental-much-needed support.
"Where are we going by the way?" I asked, only for Akira to point out a certain store that we were approaching.
"There. We are going to buy some clothes. Our first shopping date, hehe~"
*-*-*-*-*
'Damn...this place is huge... 'This brand of suits is famous all across the globe and expensive enough that I never was able to own one even though I remained stubborn about it for a long time.
Well, my parents were not wrong to not give a Mid-schooler, a formal suit worth a million. It was logically illogical.
At that time, I promised myself that I would earn enough money to buy at least three suits from this brand of clothing...but here I was already.
"Please stand here for measurement."
I did as I was told, leaving a disappointed Akira behind. The old man took his measuring tape and began inching my sizes.
"Your body is shaped good, boy. "
"Uh...thank you..." I responded in a whisper before I felt a chilly wave reaching up to me.
Me and the old uncle both looked simultaneously in that direction only to find Akira glaring at the tailor with a frosty gaze.
Wait....is she now....?
'Really Akira...is there no bound to your jealousy?' I sighed inwardly and after that, the old man spoke nothing and hurriedly finished the measurements.
"There are some pieces aligning perfectly with the size of dear customer, so if you may take a trial it would help us to adjust the proportions accordingly. "
Another shop in charge spoke while rubbing his hands together and a small business smile on his face.
Minami-san replied affirmatively before I was handed an olive green and white three-piece set of formals. It was Akira's choice among many. I was about to say that to check the price first before I realized whom I am shopping with.
Asking her to be mindful of her expenses was a lost cause.
If this would have been any casual shopping then I would never have accepted such an expensive gift, but taking the people I would be meeting tomorrow, into consideration, I can only accept the attire and walk toward the trial rooms.
*Shuffle*
I unbuttoned my shirt and took it out, intending to go for pants next, but suddenly I froze.
'Damn...she was wild...' I assessed my collarbone and chest where several red markings were left, thanks to the passionate Akira I was presented with yesterday.
My heart began beating faster remembering the memorable night, before I decided to wash my thoughts away and get on with the trials...only to become stiff once again.
"A-A-Akira?!"
I barely held myself from screaming when I saw a pair of dainty pale arms encircling my chest and something warm pressing against my back.
Without even turning I can tell that it was her. That fragrance and those familiar hands could not belong to anyone else other than her.
But the question was...why the heck is she here?!
"Were you thinking about something naughty, Haru-kun?"
I sucked on a sharp breath before I slowly turned to look at her.
The changing room was spacious enough to accommodate two of us comfortably and when the other person was practically clinging to me, I guess even a third person can walk in.
*Ba*Dumb*
Seeing her from this close, in such a place was making me nervous and somehow excited at the same time.
Wait...it's not time for that!
"What are you doing here, Akira? This is not somewhere a girl should wander. "
It was strictly stated for women to not enter the trial section since this shop was purely devoted to men's apparel. Yet...
"Isn't this kind of thrilling, Haru-kun? Secretly meeting here with the risk of getting caught?
I am getting all excited here ♡ ♡"
This girl...
I couldn't help but sigh before a smile arched the corner of my lips as I saw the adorable ojou-sama dipping her face into my chest. She's such a spoiled girl sometimes, though I couldn't help but fawn over her even more.
"Mmm~Hold me Haru-kun... "I complied with her demand and after shrugging off my worries, I held her in my arms, leaving no gap between us.
We stood there in peaceful silence, enjoying each other's warmth without minding a single thing happening in the rest of the world. I might have had a wavy relationship with Akira until now, but as things were currently, I did not hate it. Rather, I want to preserve this bond between us as long as Akira wants me.
"Are you nervous to meet them?"
"Mm." I responded with a hum my face diving into her shoulder, inhaling her scent to calm my racy heart.
"Should I call it off?"
"Mm-hmm." I hummed in rejection. While the offer was tempting since one day for preparation was very short, I don't want to make Akira sad and give a bad impression on her family by avoiding them.
"Are you sure?"
"Mmm."
"Alright then. I will wait for you outside."
This time I was feeling disappointed when the warmth detached from me, but a sudden realization made me startled as I hurriedly called for her.
"Hey, hey...are you planning to go out just like that?! "
I was thinking of going out first and engaging the staff in work so Akira can escape without being seen.
But her following words made my mind numb and once again I was reminded of whom I once called my lady.
"Don't worry about that, Haru-kun. I own this place now."
