Chapter 6: Chapter 6: The Mutated Spirit Wheel Mirror

Chapter 6: The Mutated Spirit Wheel Mirror

As Lin Langtian stepped through the stone doors, a blinding light surged toward him, prompting him to squint reflexively. After a moment, he adjusted to the brightness and took in his surroundings.

He found himself in an enormous stone cavern, filled with a haze of radiant light. Shafts of sunlight filtered through holes in the ceiling, enhancing the cavern's luminescence. The space stretched out so vast that Lin Langtian couldn't see its end.

"So this is the Lin Clan's Treasure Vault?" he muttered, reaching out with his hand to feel the dense concentration of elemental energy filling the air—a level far beyond what he'd experienced outside.

"These must be the clan treasures."

He glanced around at the surrounding light shields, each one containing a glowing item. Although many of these were spirit treasures, the most impressive of them were merely of high quality. For Lin Langtian, only Earth-grade spirit treasures would meet his standards now.

"I bet the true treasures are deeper within," he murmured, narrowing his eyes.

Thanks to his bloodline link with the Nine Nether Fire Sparrow, Lin Langtian's perception had sharpened, likely on par with a true expert in the Creation Realm. Without further delay, he moved quickly toward the cavern's depths.

As he ventured deeper, the dazzling lights and treasures surrounding him seemed to shine brighter, filling the space with a mesmerizing glow. Most people would likely get lost in such a trove, but Lin Langtian barely spared a glance, moving straight toward his target.

The Treasure Vault was massive, and it took him nearly half an hour of walking before he finally reached its innermost section. Here, the atmosphere was different. The light formed pathways leading to various stone pedestals, each one surrounded by a distinct glow.

On these pedestals floated a variety of powerful treasures, spirit herbs, and martial arts manuals. But Lin Langtian's focus was on the five light orbs containing Earth-grade spirit treasures, and his eyes glimmered with excitement as he examined each one.

The first treasure on the left was a soft sword, entirely blood-red, coiled like a venomous snake and exuding a sharp, dangerous aura. It wasn't his style, so he quickly moved on.

The second item was a small, yellowish tortoiseshell, engraved with intricate patterns that gave it a sturdy, grounded feel. "A defensive treasure. Not a bad backup option," he muttered.

He continued inspecting. The third item was a black spear, seemingly crafted from the bones of an ancient beast, radiating an intense sharpness that even made his Form Realm body feel unsettled.

The fourth treasure was a gray armor, rippling with energy, and faintly displaying the image of a giant ancient bear—another strong defensive item, as potent as the tortoiseshell.

Finally, he turned to the last item, a large, six-sided black mirror, its surface emanating an unusual, potent energy. Seeing the mirror, Lin Langtian raised an eyebrow. In the original timeline, Lin Langtian had used this very "Spirit Wheel Mirror."

Compared to the other treasures, the Spirit Wheel Mirror was versatile, serving both offensive and defensive purposes, making it an attractive option.

Recalling this, Lin Langtian stepped forward, dispersing the surrounding energy mist with a wave of his hand. As the mist parted, a massive stone platform appeared, revealing a small, palm-sized black object at its center.

He squinted and recognized it—a small, carved black mountain.

"So it's the Heavy Prison Peak." He stepped closer, gazing at the seemingly ordinary decoration. In the original timeline, Lin Dong had chosen this treasure after defeating Lin Langtian in the clan tournament. Though it looked like a mere decoration, it was, in fact, the most valuable Earth-grade treasure in the Lin Clan's vault!

Lin Langtian's eyes shone with excitement as he reached out to grasp the small black peak. Yet, just as he tried to lift it, he was met with resistance—it wouldn't budge an inch.

"Damn, I forgot it requires Essence Power to control!" He sighed, smacking his forehead. Essence Power was the fusion of mental energy and elemental energy, far more potent than either alone. In the original timeline, Lin Dong had mastered this power, allowing him to tame the Heavy Prison Peak. But Lin Langtian wasn't even a Sigil Master, lacking both the mental strength and Essence Power required.

Disappointed, he could only sigh and shake his head. "Well, if it's meant for Lin Dong, then I'll choose something else."

Resigned, Lin Langtian turned back to the five Earth-grade spirit treasures. Though he had no attachment to the Heavy Prison Peak, the Spirit Wheel Mirror was undoubtedly an excellent substitute.

With a gesture, he summoned the six-sided black mirror to his hand. Unlike the Heavy Prison Peak, the Spirit Wheel Mirror showed no resistance, making it easy for him to grasp.

Having made his choice, Lin Langtian didn't hesitate. Focusing his energy, he pressed a drop of his essence blood into the mirror, initiating the bonding process.

The process went smoothly as his essence blood sank into the mirror's depths, leaving a blood imprint at its core. But just as the blood imprint formed, something unexpected happened.

A radiant golden light burst from within Lin Langtian, bright as the sun and impossible to look at directly. The light held ancient, mysterious symbols within it.

In awe, he watched as these golden symbols flooded toward the Spirit Wheel Mirror.

"Buzz!"

The Spirit Wheel Mirror began to hum and shimmer, transforming under the flood of golden light. Mysterious symbols etched themselves onto the mirror's surface, turning it from a six-sided black mirror into a powerful golden artifact covered in ancient runes...
