Worlds Away (JJK AU)

Chapter 15: Their Own Truths

Choso is looking down at the stack of paperwork stationed on a cardboard box that seems neglected, wondering what it contains.

"Excuse me...this is...hea-vy..."

The being quickly steps aside, clearing the doorway for the line of men whom some of which are unable to see around the totes they carry. It would appear as though Naoya called on some of his men to help arrange the large room they're constructing especially for Elska. They're standing inside of an old storage cellar that's located underneath their main building; Getou giving Naoya an inch for preparation as the Zenin takes a mile.

Choso picks up the top layering piece of paper and brings it to his face for examination as his eyes widen from seeing the amount of money spent, thinking, 'Oh my...' With abrupt concern and bewilderment, the being darts his gaze back to the doomed one.

"Are you trying to piss Getou off?", Choso looks to Naoya with a raised eyebrow while still holding up the bill. Naoya seems gleeful as he stands with his arms crossed matched with a smile bred from denial and likely aware of what is being positioned before him but choses not pay it much mind initially.

Naoya's too busy supervising the men who are placing the talisman under the layer of wall, "Like I showed you! It must not be flawed!", announcing the reminder that they have to be arranged in a certain manner.

"Naoya...", Choso's voice berates for attention.

"Do we not want her to be comfortable?", Naoya smiles to Choso and claps his hands together but his attention is stolen as he sees three men rolling a large square tub on its side through the doorway behind him, "HEY be careful with that!! That is the cradle of my dreams!".

Choso quietly watches Naoya take long strides to reach the men who were actually handling the porcelain boat fine, Naoya just seemed to be over bearing with this piece of merchandise.

"A bathtub?", the being questions out loud.

He sets the bill down sighing, not wanting to see the amounts written on the others and ganders around the space to sum up their progress.

This room is being designed from the ground up to suppress the use of most types of powers, not knowing which category hers would fall to. The only ones that will not be limited when they enter the room will be Getou, Choso and Naoya. They plan to take the girl and keep her in here as Naoya has been tasked with breaking her into submission, pleasantly or not so. Unlike the situation with Gojo, they only have one seal to place on her body whereas the rest will be hidden behind the walls, for aesthetics as Naoya says.

The single seal has been created particularly to hinder the use of her wings and will thus be placed along the upper portion of her spine and can only be removed by someone else for it will be hemmed with her energy.

If you asked Getou he would say they are taking in a prisoner but by the looks of Naoya, Choso could almost imagine hearing him say that they're expecting a visit from a princess.

The room is heavily accommodating from what he can see already. There're labeled tape outlines on the floors indicating where furniture will be placed, some on the walls where he plans to have things for decoration.

'Decorations?', Choso now finds himself dismayed by this over the top production, 'Seriously?' Cans of unopened paint are gathered in the center of the floor on a off white drop sheet. It looks like Naoya chose three different shades of blue for the color scheme, one undoubtedly resembling the deep Zenin blue of their traditional robes.

In the corner Naoya's directing the men where to set the tub down, becoming frustrated as he stumbles over his thoughts and stressing for everything to be perfect.

"Right here you guys! Come on!", Naoya points to the taped perimeter after stepping back to oversee the guys shimmy it into place. The miniature open bathroom he's putting together is actively turning out to be more of a spa.

"That tub is large enough to fit three Naoya…why does she ne-…", Choso begins to try to make sense of the larger than life layout.

"Well, she's going to need to bathe ChOsO and if I'm being honest, I'm hoping she'll have me join!", A blinding but devious smile forms across Naoya as he thinks of how the equation will play out.

'Her plus me plus this tub equals unequivocal intimacy.'

He would use the softest towels to gently exfoliate her skin as she sits between his legs, her back to his chest while the cherry blossom scent soars around them and into their personal pond.

Choso takes a step back when Naoya emits squealing giggles.

The Zenin imagines how delectable her body would look under a warm water fall as he would delicately rinse the parts of her that weren't submerged. While she relaxes into him, he'll lather her hair with the lavender products he plans to stock with; massaging her scalp tenderly while her arms lay bent around his knees, her hands holding his shins. The water rinsing from her hair from another facilitated pour from him will splash down his chest and join the depth beneath him, blending the purifying scents.

She'll say something along the lines of, "Teehehe… Master Naoya why are you doing this? I am supposed to serve you!", to which Naoya would reply, "Yes but you're something special and you will be treated as such! Treasure should be treasured." Elska would have no choice but to melt in his arms like he were being fitted for armor.

Naoya's body tremors to the fantasy, definitely having a thing for bath time, 'Wait until she sees the estate!'

But that brings him to an entirely different fictitious illusion of his; one with him, her and the cherry blossoms grown in the privacy of his personal garden.

Naoya has created many false realities with Elska. They come to him without effort and run rampant with the hopes of their future. Choso taps him on the shoulder, dissolving his dreams to show the far from complete project.

"Naoya, don't you think this is a little mu-..."

"Where're the markings for the fucking towel stand!?", Naoya struts his anxious self over the clearly designated area.

"Hmm...", Choso begins to worry that Naoya truly has the wrong impression of their intentions for a moment.

"How can she fucking dry off if there aren't any fucking towels?!!"

Naoya's being so dramatic and the micromanaging's dampens the morale of his men who feel this job is belittling of their talents. Choso opens his mouth to calm the Zenin down but immediately closes his lips upon recognizing they've company.

"You're acting like a god damn housewife Naoya…", a cold wave flutters into the room as Getou enters, peering around to take in all of the commotion.

Some chuckles erupt amongst the Zenin henchmen but Suguru proceeds without humor, "What the fuck is all of this?" His tone is angered as he throws the hand that's free from his pocket up in the air. "I swear to fucking god, I don't even know who you are anymore…" his deadpan stare to Naoya is returned with a serious face.

"Well Getou, we have to assume she'll be highly resilient. Imagine me trying to gain her cooperation in a room like Gojo's? It just wouldn't happen. If we wish to convince her that we have her best interest, decent lodgings would be the least we'd offer." All of the shine has left Naoya's eyes as he gives Getou the tactical reasoning he wants to hear but suffers to contain his sheer excitement of the idea of Elska being near again. He's having a hard time simply waiting for this plan to take flight and can't wait to see her face as she realizes the amount of commitment and effort he put into orchestrating her needs.

Not entirely persuaded, Getou takes his other hand from his pocket, holding his phone, "If that bratty woman refuses then I can assure you I'll have a Titer here in no time to speed up the process. I'm not as concerned with the proposed risks." He's observing Naoya for physical reactions to the words again but sees nothing that would give him anything concrete to go off of.

"I am only offering a small time for her to adhere, this has gone on long enough.", but ponders on how he's unable to pinpoint Naoya's issue.

"You wouldn't be devising to go against my clan so soon, would you?", Naoya tries to introduce a level of liveliness to his voice to stave off tension. He doesn't appreciate Getou's insolence regarding Elska but he also knows that playing everything down will work to his advantage eventually. Naoya only needs to keep this act up until he marries her, which he hopes is sooner rather than later so that they can both be fully protected.

"Don't get your panties in a bunch Little Naoya.", Getou chuckles genuinely for the first time since the others can remember as he checks his watch, "I won't make a move before I agreed I would. You're safe."

He walks up to Naoya and places a hand on his shoulder. "Just please stop acting like such a bitch, you're embarrassing me.", Getou then laughs fully this time, sounding awkward to the men that knew him well enough in the room.

Rather than being insulted, Naoya's face shows surprise as he's unsure if he can trust this new friendly nature from Getou.

'Fuck it's weird…what's got him in such a good mood?', Naoya was almost certain that he'd have to do a lot more explaining about his preferences on the room; Choso was merely prepping him for the questioning.

"I have some work to attend to so I will take my leave now.", Getou brings his hands back into his onyx suit pockets and walks to the door, twisting to look back.

"Naoya, seriously though, don't get too fucking carried away here.", but Suguru looks around the room as if to know it was far too late to say that now. The Zenin clan will likely reimburse him for these ridiculous expenses so it's not the end of the world, or the bank account.

Naoya nor Choso move an inch until Getou strolls into the hall, still in far too high of spirits. They glance to each other and without words agree that, that smile of Getou's was truly unnerving.

Life has been exhausting lately and Getou forgot with all of his responsibilities that he's no good when he's all work and no play. He wanted to fucking murder Zenin after his last blunder, the third of which involves the girl.

"Fickle bastard..."

Even with all of his might though, harming Naoya is politically out of the question and this adds to his exhaustion since dealing with that guy can really be a headache sometimes. The Zenin wasn't always like this though which leads Getou to be fairly assured that he's missing something; a piece to this puzzle because he's not understanding how such an ordinary looking girl is capable of warping these men they mutually know. 'First Toji…and now Zenin. Gojo was first though actually. All very powerful and unique men.'

As he nears his personal room, Getou hears the sounds of metal chains clacking together.

"Oh?", he smirks, "Sounds like it's time for another round…", he speaks to himself as he reaches into his jacket pocket for the key that would gain him entry. When he turns the knob, desperate muffled screams start sounding but immediately stop once he enters the room itself.

He throws the keys down on a glass table to his left and stifles to remove his suit jacket. Turning, he orients towards the long black-haired beauty that he met while at an important meeting a few nights ago; she was offered to him as encouragement, bribery.

She doesn't look so confident and smug now with her hands chained above her head, matching anklets with more slack just above her feet as she side sits on the floor. Her face is red from straining and stained with tears as her light brown eyes narrow with hatred.

Getou casually walks towards her clicking his tongue in a disapproving manner when she begins struggling, wanting to flee.

"I do thank you for helping me relieve my stress at least..." he says to her while stroking a finger across her cheek, fresh horror forming in her eyes. She's trying to scream but it makes no difference, he admits that a part of him seems to enjoy it.

"I didn't know you were so eager for me again! It's a good thing the elders won't miss you because I have endless plans for you my sweet."

He rips the stuffed cloth from her mouth as she heaves in air but only receives the declaration, "You're a fiend! You're SICK!!", in a wild tone. He creases his facial expression in disdain as he raises his right hand across his chest and then down to her face in a backhanded slap. It connects across her right cheek and nose, stinging and leaving her eyes watering.

"Why would you say such things to me? Maybe you like making things harder for yourself? Greedy bitch. None of you know your place."

He watches her recover from the harsh hit as he unzips his suit pants and lets them fall to the floor around his feet.

"There is only one way to take back what was said...", he snarls to her as he yanks her up by her long silky black hair, some of her weight tethering by his hold. "And that is to eat them. Now...mind your teeth this time or you won't be left with any."

He snaps her backwards a few inches as he skillfully wrenches down his underwear to expose himself, his member flying up and smacking his abdomen.

"I am looking forward to keeping you around so... you will submit. Those that don't listen are never to be found again."

While sneering, he takes his free hand and pries the nameless woman's jaw open before bucking himself into her mouth to which a small noise of relief leaves him.

Yes, all work and no play makes for a vicious Getou indeed.

—————————————————————————————————–

Toji is trudging down the flickering hallway, only paying attention enough to step over sections of soaked discolored carpet that are surely different bodily fluids. He lifts his head to see his door and walks towards after grunting over someone overdosing at the other end of the hall that leads further into complex.

When he's inside, he slams the door shut behind him, only meaning to close it. His living space is small, cluttered and poorly lit. Toji wasn't necessarily a slob, he's actually pretty clean for a rough bachelor in his late 30s but the reflection of his home gave the impression that he either wasn't very organized or wasn't there often. He walks through the tiny tan carpeted living room that stores a deflated and misshapen tabi colored couch into the dining/kitchen area. There's a small circular white-topped table with a single foldable grey metal chair in front of it that he sits in, pulling his hands slowly down his face as he marinates in recent events.

He's still fuming, eyes glued to his lap as he lays his hands palm up on the tabletop. He's wondering why he refrained from telling her himself…why he would give Gojo the opportunity to manipulate her again.

"Doll..."

His chest feels heavy as he drifts through the fuzzy memories of taking her once he woke up in her bed.

'Am I much better than him though?', for the second time Toji is really examining his own morality, something he found is easier to ignore if possible.

He remembers how hard he was pressing her legs into her, how harsh his movements were and his eyes take to his hands again in abhorrence.

"How could I do that to her?! With my size?!"

In a slight fit of fury, Toji swings his arm over the table and sends the mismatched plastic cups on top flying into the living room. His rage quells upon noticing smeared blood on the pad of his right hand.

"Fucking Gojo..."

He knows it's Gojo's blood and is disgusted by how it's been sitting on his skin like he's worried it won't wash away. Toji has absolutely no desire for the red essence which strikes him as odd since he felt the unyielding need for Elska's.

'Master...'

When Elska raised her head up to speak to him that last time, some blood spilled from Gojo's neck and dripped from his collar bone down onto Toji's pants, being his legs were entombed underneath at the time. Once Toji left the property, he straightened his clothing out, brushed the dirt and creases away and noticed then that there was something wet on his thigh area.

Still filled with complete revulsion, Toji stands to ambulate to the bathroom that's only a few feet away. His apartment's AC unit was prehistoric and struggled to maintain a temperature below 79 degrees causing some of the wooden structures within his place to swell, like the bathroom door frame.

A soft tug does nothing but trap the door into the casing, causing Toji to sigh with irritation, "Piss-poor design here!"

With a fiery jerk of his arm, Toji then pulls at the door harder, ripping the hinges themselves out of stile where they once belonged. The whole door and small splinters fly behind Toji and directly into his entertainment center which supported his one nice possession, the flat screen.

"For fuck's sake...", Toji marbles out with regret, "Please don't tell me..."

He turns around slowly, praying that the smash he just heard wasn't his new TV but of course it was. His face is stuck with a tight-lipped expression as he reluctantly assesses. It's now removed from the stand and has become illogically mounted into the wall, folded in half as the intact corner of the door impales through it.

"WHAT THE FUUUUCK!?" , Toji now kicks the table and chair where he was sitting previously across the room, dents forming where the cheaply plastered walls stopped their paths of trajectory. He's not been home for ten minutes and is already destroying the place and he's not even meaning to. "Ughhhh!!"

He's grasping that his strength has dramatically increased which is hard to believe considering he was already at the physical human limit before.

'Could Gojo tell?'

Toji also finds that he can now wield cursed energy for some reason which hasn't fully settled into him yet; his lack of ability before being entirely the cause for the horrible abuse he's lived through.

Gazing back to his poor TV, Toji heavily laments, "Dumb oaf...look at what you've done. Ya didn't even pay that one off yet...", as his phone begins to vibrate in his pocket. Upon pulling it out he sees Naoya Zenin flash across the screen and decides to ignore it, sending it to voicemail. Toji simply does not have the patience to deal with the boy right now. This reminds him that it's probably best to move out of that shit hole anyways, knowing that the Zenin and Getou are aware of that location. Most would be made cankerous by this but Toji is used to home being a mindset more than a physical place.

'Right…so let me grab what I'll need…'

His phone begins to vibrate again as he enters his bedroom but he's stopping now to grunt in annoyance. He pulls his phone out again and it's still Naoya, "God damnit kid…" he huffs as he hits the answer button and brings it his ear.

"What do you want you little shit?", Toji absentmindedly begins to pace, leading him back into the dining area.

"Toji! How have you been? I haven't seen you sin-…" Naoya is interrupted by a bark from Toji.

"I saw you pretty recently actually and you were a bloody fucking mess boy. Since when did you become such a pussy?", Toji dials back after feeling the harsh qualities of his tone ring over the line and waits to find out the reason Naoya was even calling him.

"Well...", Naoya states, somewhat flabbergasted, "...that was kind of uncalled for but okay...super fucking rude, cousin."

"Look kid...", Toji sighs for his soft spot, "Tell me what you want, I'm kind of going through some shit at the moment."

The line is quiet long enough for Toji to begin to ask if anyone was still there but he hears the deep yet insecure voice right before hand, "Toji, I might need your help with something..."

"No shit, you wouldn't call me otherwise. Now, what is it? Spit it out already...", Toji's gritting his teeth as he stares at his mangled television to count the large cracks formed. This is when he notices that the wall is pretty fucked too, 'That's going to cost me when I leave..."

Naoya sighs, "I don't trust Getou anymore. He's up to something and he's not sharing as to what." He pauses a second to exhale and then continues, "You know I don't like asking for help but I'd be stupid to not admit he's formidable. I may need extra muscle when I make the move to bring Elska into the Zenin clan…perhaps even before that."

Toji squeezes out some empty chuckles as he takes in Naoya's request.

'Did he seriously just ask me that? He wants my help to enhance the Zenin's situation…and with her?'

And here Toji has always thought Naoya to be smart.

"I will never let the clan have her you unreasonable little shit.", Toji lowers the tone of his voice and speaks slowly, "Do you really think they'll accept her? You're a fucking fool who has no idea what they'll do, you've never had to even wonder about the clan…"

"I will shield her myself as her husband and I will be leading the clan soon enough Toji.", Naoya retorts with aggravation understanding that his previous assumptions about Toji having ulterior motives with Elska were likely just.

Naoya thinks back to the first time he ever laid eyes on Elska and how she was straddling Toji amidst the death, blood, feather and flesh that became that apartment. He found the sight of them exciting and erotic as he curiously stole glances from behind the counter; being completely unaware that his life was about to change forever. If Naoya was presented with that that same scene today, he would probably lose his shit instantaneously. There's something about Elska that brings him to life, gives him meaning so he shares this with Toji in the form of, "I'll eliminate anyone that opposes me... elder, shaman, Zenin, exiled family…"

"Are you asking for my help or threatening me you spoiled little cunt?", Toji is reaching his wits end with this conversation that he wasn't even able to tolerate to begin with.

'How can that amber-eyed dunce claim to want to safeguard her but aim to place her in the fucking hands of that degenerate clan?'

That's assuming Toji even allows it to follow through but surely Gojo isn't going to just stand by either. Naoya won't be able to be with her for every second of the day and the first time she retaliates against the abuse they'll have their sick justification to continue and with worse punishment. Toji knows all too well so there is no way in hell that she's going to be put through that.

"I will be taking her as my wife. You know you can't outrank me in this matter." Naoya is sounding angry by this point, feeling now as though it was a mistake to call upon his cousin for this matter. "That is the best way to protect her too, I just wish you understood that. I have no idea what Getou is working on..."

"You're a fucking moron and it sounds like you're looking for an ass beating…", Toji growls, "and my boy haha…do I have a surprise for you."

Toji decides that perhaps he should just lovingly pummel Naoya into submission for surely, he could. The look on his face when he sees Toji's cursed energy will be spectacular. Toji was already strong before but now he's an absolute package of potential and maybe the Zenin's would leave him be because of that. That would certainly be one less problem removed from this cluster fuck of a situation he's trying to form into a relationship.

Unsure of what Toji was referring to, Naoya decides to dodge the topic about the surprise mentioned and moves along with, "Ahem, yes well…as you will not let the me or the clan have her, I will not let you. I wish things were different." Naoya hangs up abruptly afterwards, the faintest sound of despondency trailing behind his words.

Toji throws the phone into his couch and hollers in frustration at the top of his lungs. That call was the last straw, he is so fed up with the interference he's experiencing from seemingly every direction. All of the set-backs, the fact that she is still with Gojo, Getou's sadistic fucking self and now Naoya who may have just asserted himself an enemy as well. Toji's eyes start to water as he looks up and screams again, confused because he certainly wasn't crying.

This second bellow sounds more of a wounded animal screaming in a desperate situation. He tenses up as a foreign pain shoots up through his shoulders and back, feeling his muscles shifting around erratically. Hunched over, unsure of what is happening and breathing heavily, Toji feels his skin tear open as the pain subsides and large dark grey wings erupt from behind him, obliterating the back of his black shirt.

Everything within his immediate radius that wasn't fixed in place is thrashed about in the gusts. Papers that were stacked on the kitchen counters, the Bushido scroll he had hanging, even the few items of food he had in the opened pantry…all of it was sent flying once they formed and flailed out of him in an uncontrolled manner.

Toji stands in shock, staring into space but noticing the few feathers floating downwards around him in his peripheral vision, "Holy shit..."

His hand reaches out to touch the wings stationed around him, still not holding certainty that they're his, it's all so strange.

The feathers are soft but thick and when he rolls the feathers the opposite way of growth, they became coarse in texture. He plucks one out of inquisitiveness and finds that it stings horribly, 'So, my brain's receptors are registering it…maybe the rest of me should too?'

Still in a daze, he looks around his totaled apartment completely defeated by the disaster as he then begins to recall the scene at Elska and Gojo's place months ago. The sheer destruction of the room then resembles his, just without all of the blood. He realizes then that when she opened her wings it must have been instinctual or sudden, because here and now he exists within the same messy misfortune.

Toji was really going to her that night with hellish intentions, thoughts that he can't even bring himself summon anymore. All he wants to do was look out for Elska, protect her, care for her.

His ever-growing fondness of Elska always allowed a certain projection of these emotions but now he feels overwhelmed by them and it's likely due to his new form. He wonders if his feelings are genuine or if they were groomed into his DNA. It's doubtful he'll really be bothered by the answer considering he always wanted to be more of this type of man versus than the one he'd become prior. Toji's checkered past and malicious doings seem as they were a completely different life now but these questions rampaging in his mind beckon him to trudge up painful memories.

He lost all hope after he lost his wife, Megumi's mother.

She was the only human on this planet that actually loved him and what a brave woman she was because he was so suspicious of all then and quite vile. She appeared before him one day and slowly seemed to forcefully insert herself into his life, slowly eroding his unbreachable walls. They would argue often but that's mainly because they were like two sides of the same coin fighting for dominance of face, with the exception of parenting views.

She was the nurturer for their baby, for him. The limitless patience she was capable of always left him completely baffled, the strength he saw in and eventually found for himself through that woman was unimaginable. What an angel she was. Toji was always completely rough around the edges, only being familiar with dark emotions and sacrifice but her bottomless heart taught him the vastness of the world and the range of human emotional capability.

She was sincerely one of kind.

He never was given the closure of a body or a funeral and that began to weigh on him as time passed afterwards, adding to the darkness he harbored. He didn't even receive a clear explanation as to what happened, just a piece of prioritized paper from the elders saying that she passed.

To this day he still doesn't know how.

His once slightly sweetened demeanor burned as if heat was applied and mixed with the metaphorical sugar, eating away the new layers of empathy that lined him. Without the support of the Zenin clan he knew that Megumi might be at risk since the clan's techniques were passed down to him. Not wanting the boy to have to agonize under their rule, he eventually changed their name to Fushiguro, his wife's maiden name.

Joining with Getou gave Toji the financial means of providing for the boy as well as being able to keep an eye on him from afar with Choso's help. Over time it could be said that Toji found too much comfort in this arrangement since he was able to answer his darkness through the work he found there while keeping a safe distance from tainting his son.

He never fully knew which side of the fence he fell on before getting closer to Elska, knowing that as long as Megumi was cared for, that was good enough for him to just remain hidden. I mean, what kind of influence could he really hope to pass to his son? Probably nothing decent in his mind so how was he supposed to be a good father?

He doesn't even consider himself a good man.

Where Toji stands now is fully evident however. He wants to protect those he cares about most and he is actually able to do so now and without being restricted by the Heavens or the physics of his current world itself. Toji almost feels completely renewed in this moment.

He goes to grab his cell phone that he tossed out of frustration earlier with an idea in mind. It doesn't really matter if the enemy knows where he is, he would only be a by-product of their success if taken down.

He isn't their target.

Toji inputs the 6-digit code to unlock the screen, not being a fan of biometric technology. Scrolling through his contact list, he finds the name he was looking for and selects it to bring the call. It rings a few times before the other end picks up.

"Toji are you alright? Where are you?", Nanami begins questioning as he had no idea Toji was even awake yet, the news having not traveled.

"Hey man...yeah I'm fine but I am…well…I have wings…", he unsteadily exclaims to his fellow shaman. "...and I kind of did a number on my place coincidentally." The feathers twitch around him as he fails to understand how to control them, still wild with surprise over their existence.

"What?!! Wings? You mean like Oda's???!!", The fascination in Nanami's voice becomes apparent as his tenor raises with the sentence's progression. He's left silent for a moment as he's probably either trying to make sense of the statement or is visualizing the possibility.

"Well...they're a little different…bigger, darker…but yea…I have fucking feathers coming out of me now. Pretty fucking crazy right?!", Toji's excitement is intwined with laughter-like melodies as he's still trying to believe it himself. "But Nanami, my point in calling was for something else…I need a room there."

Nanami exhales heavily to this, knowing that the request will probably cause some issues if met.

"Toji…I don't think that's a good idea, not until you've worked out whatever it is going on between you and Gojo." He continues sympathetically, "We can't have that kind of behavior on the campus, you both know that it endangers our students."

"I won't fight the fucker I just want to be with El...I mean keep an eye on Megumi and everyone. Getou isn't going to stay quiet forever and he's got a lot of pawns. They're not going to stop coming after their intended victims you know…"

"Toji…look…", Nanami groans, "I don't think it'll work out in your favo-..."

"Great!! Well, I'll be there soon! I'm going to grab some necessities first", Toji goes to move towards the door as his wings rub into the ceiling and other parts of the environment around him. 'There's no way I'm fitting out of the door like this though...'

"Toji...don't..."

"I'll bring you a bottle and we can discuss my living situation further…", Toji gifts into the receiver as he takes a few more steps, his wings shaving the popcorn ceiling to which he now wears.

"God DAMNIT…ok I have to get rid of these first but then I'll be there."

"Toji that's not how this wor-…", but he hangs up on Nanami and is now more focused on trying to get out of his little apartment. Toji looks up to see the arch of his new extensions, slightly admiring their broad reach as he tries to figure out how to move them or even release them.

After a few monologuing commands a sharp yell breaches into the room as his frustration grows. They jolt in response while his head is still turned upwards, sprinkling more of the ceiling snow down but into his eyes.

"Aww God fu-…shit that burns!!!", he vexes as he sits down crisscrossing his legs, trying not to pin the wings and gives in to waiting for them to disappear all while having no idea how long that will be. When he wipes his eyes desperately trying to clear the foreign objects from them he chuckles to himself quietly.

"I can't wait to show them this."

An excited smile places itself upon him as he tries to occupy his time with scenarios of Megumi and Elska's reactions; knowing that he has to look as cool as he feels, minus the white speckles dusting him.

"Maybe it's time that I had that talk with Megumi too…" he mumbles, feeling a strong sense of obligation swoon over him, fighting back the insecurities and fears he had on the subject. Something about the recent ritual he experienced with Elska has changed him but in a way he cannot understand nor fear.

Who is he to say that his son is better off being unclaimed?

Why did ever believe Gojo would do the right thing?

Toji fully comprehends that a new era of life has left its outstretched hand to be grasped. With this second chance and new DNA, Toji will be the best man he can ever hope to become as a simple answer runs behinds his eyes.

"They both deserve to know their own truths."
