Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Time Passes and the Ancient One Ascends
---
Daniel POV
For the first time in years, Daniel decided to take a step back. The world he had crafted—expanding Earth, introducing Pokémon, and creating the World Tree—was thriving. Humanity had adapted remarkably well to the changes, and the Avengers were busier than ever maintaining peace and exploring the new regions.
"It's good to let things breathe for a while," Daniel mused, observing the events from his cosmic perch. "But things are bound to shift on their own."
The decision proved wise. Without his intervention, the Marvel world began evolving organically, its characters finding new paths in this enriched world.
---
Two Years Later
In the absence of new cosmic events, the Avengers turned their focus inward. Tony Stark, occupied with managing Stark Industries' expansion into Pokémon research and environmental restoration, never had the time—or the desperation—to develop Ultron. The Earth avoided that particular disaster.
Instead, the world turned its attention to mysticism.

The Events of Doctor Strange
Stephen Strange, once a brilliant but arrogant surgeon, found himself walking the same path of discovery as in the original timeline. After losing the use of his hands in a devastating car accident, Strange sought answers in Kamar-Taj, where the Ancient One took him under her wing.
The world had changed, and Strange noticed. He found himself meditating near habitats teeming with life, learning to manipulate energy in a way that resonated with the natural flow of the new Earth. The World Tree's delicate energy often became a part of his training.
As Strange confronted Dormammu and used the Time Stone to save Earth from the Dark Dimension, his growth as a sorcerer drew the attention of the Avengers. After the battle, Strange remained at Kamar-Taj for several months, honing his abilities before finally joining Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Ancient One's Fate
The Ancient One's death during the events of Doctor Strange played out much as it had before. She guided Strange through her final moments, ensuring that Earth's new Sorcerer Supreme was ready to take on the mantle. But unbeknownst to Strange, her story wasn't over.
---
Daniel's Plan
As the Ancient One's soul lingered in the ethereal plane, Daniel appeared before her. For the first time in eons, the all-knowing sorceress found herself surprised.
"You are no being of this realm," she said, her tone calm but wary.
Daniel smiled. "No, I'm not. But I've been watching. You've done incredible work, guiding this world through its trials."
The Ancient One raised an eyebrow. "And now you've come to offer me something, haven't you?"
"Smart as ever," Daniel said with a chuckle. "I want to give you a new role. You've dedicated your life to protecting this world. How would you like to watch it grow from a new perspective?"
"What are you proposing?" she asked.
Daniel extended a hand. "Join me. Become a Watcher of this fascinating world. I'll give you the ability to observe its changes, to see what happens as humanity and Pokémon adapt. You'll still be connected, but free from the burdens of leadership."
The Ancient One studied him for a long moment before nodding. "I accept. This world is too remarkable to leave behind."
Daniel placed a hand on her soul, infusing it with his essence. Her form began to shift, becoming more luminous, her features taking on a celestial glow.
"Welcome to the Watchers," Daniel said, stepping back. "Let's see what happens next."
---
Stephen Strange Joins the Avengers
Back on Earth, Strange had fully embraced his role as Sorcerer Supreme. His mastery over the mystic arts and the Time Stone had proven invaluable, but the world itself presented new challenges.
The Avengers invited him to Stark Tower to discuss his official membership.
---
Tony Stark POV
Tony leaned back in his chair, watching Strange with a mixture of curiosity and amusement. "So, a guy with a cape that moves on its own and a glowing rock that controls time. You're officially the most overqualified candidate we've ever had."
Strange smirked, adjusting his cloak. "I'd say the same about you, but I've heard your ego doesn't need any more encouragement."
Thor laughed, slapping Strange on the back. "You'll fit in well, wizard."
Steve Rogers stepped forward, offering his hand. "Welcome to the team, Doctor Strange."
Strange hesitated, then shook it. "Thank you. But don't expect me to get involved in every skirmish. My duties as Sorcerer Supreme come first."
Natasha Romanoff crossed her arms. "Fair enough. But when the mystical stuff starts spilling over into our world, we'll expect your help."
"You'll have it," Strange promised.

The Ancient One as a Watcher
High above the world, the Ancient One now stood beside Daniel, her form shimmering with celestial energy. From their vantage point, they observed Earth's progress. The Pokémon, the enriched environment, the World Tree—all of it was thriving.
"This world has exceeded my expectations," the Ancient One admitted. "Your interventions have brought balance and growth."
"And chaos," Daniel added with a grin. "But chaos makes things interesting."
The Ancient One's expression softened. "I look forward to seeing how it continues to evolve. There is wisdom in stepping back and letting the world find its own path."
Daniel nodded. "Exactly. But don't get too comfortable. There's always more to come."

A World in Balance
Two years after the birth of the World Tree and the integration of Pokémon, Earth was thriving in ways no one could have imagined. Pollution levels remained low, ecosystems flourished, and humanity had embraced its new reality.
Yet, in the shadows, forces like Hydra and rogue elements within governments schemed to exploit the changes for their own gain. And across the multiverse, energies began to stir—energies that even Daniel hadn't fully anticipated.
But for now, the world remained in harmony, watched over by its heroes and its newest celestial guardians.
