Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Alpha Werewolf Transformation Potion

Summer of Year 57, Storm Kingdom

Seven days had passed since Su Nan received the invitation to attend the Mapleleaf Town council court.

Through his steward Warwick, Su Nan learned of the farcical trial's outcome.

Knight Garth Pasha, flanked by his armed retinue, stormed the courtroom, arresting guild leaders who opposed the town mayor. Declaring his allegiance to the mayor and the town's allies, he stationed troops in Mapleleaf Town, effectively taking control.

It was clear to everyone: Garth Pasha had used this opportunity as a pretext to seize the lucrative trade hub of Mapleleaf Town.

The mayor, in his desperation, had brought the wolf into his fold.

In the attic, Warwick sought Su Nan's guidance.

"Lord Su Nan, Garth Pasha seems to have allied with another knight who was once under our domain. He now controls Mapleleaf Town. Should we intervene? I suspect his ambitions extend far beyond the town."

He hesitated before adding, "In the late Baron's time, Garth Pasha was already the strongest knight in the territory. After five years of preparation, I believe his ultimate goal might not just be Mapleleaf Town."

Su Nan lifted a flask of freshly brewed golden potion.

"Warwick, let Garth Pasha enjoy his temporary triumph," Su Nan said with a sly smile.

"To control Mapleleaf Town, he'll need to invest significant resources and manpower. This distraction will prevent him from focusing on strengthening himself or his domain. His military forces will remain stagnant while he works to consolidate his hold over the town."

"In fact, it's not a bad idea to let him clean up Mapleleaf Town for us," Su Nan added casually.

There was no rush. His power was growing daily. Waiting would only strengthen his position while the Brain Assistant continued to analyze new potion recipes and strategies.

When the time was right, he could eliminate all threats in one decisive strike.

Warwick nodded, trusting in Su Nan's plan. To him, Su Nan, now a fully realized sorcerer, was infallible. His role was to guard the estate's borders and carry out Su Nan's directives.

"Lord Su Nan, I've stationed twelve Werewolf Emissaries at key positions throughout the manor grounds," Warwick reported. "Thanks to the wolf pack effect, we'll sense any intruders immediately and mobilize to intercept them. Incidents like the last infiltration will never happen again."

He added with a grin, "I've also been learning combat techniques from Robert. Despite my age, I'm moving like a young man again."

Standing nearby, Robert, the manor's Storm Knight squire, looked visibly uncomfortable.

As the most skilled combatant in the domain, Robert had always prided himself on his abilities. Yet, in recent days, he found himself outmatched by Warwick and even the head maid, Perla, who had been enhanced by Werewolf potions.

Their progress, fueled by potions, far outpaced his rigorous training and prayers to the Storm God. It was as though they had cheated their way to power.

Unable to hold back, Robert voiced his frustration.

"If anyone can become this strong with a potion, why would they pray to the Storm God? Why endure years of grueling training to become a Storm Knight?"

He paused, conflicted. "Lord Su Nan, I've already dedicated so many years to the Storm path. If I were to transform into a Werewolf, I'd have to abandon my faith. To forsake the Storm God after all these years… I…"

Sensing Robert's internal struggle, Warwick offered a reassuring smile.

"You're an honorable man, Robert. A skilled warrior. There's no shame in walking your chosen path."

Su Nan also understood the root of Robert's unease.

The emergence of sorcery posed a direct threat to the church's authority. If mortals could harness power without divine intervention, why would they worship the gods? Why strive to become Storm Knights?

"Robert, your expertise in combat is invaluable to this domain. Your skills will always have a place here," Su Nan said.

Moved, Robert smiled. "Thank you, Lord Su Nan. Protecting you is more important to me than my own life. I apologize for my earlier words."

After Warwick excused himself to attend to estate matters, Su Nan directed Robert to guard the attic door and prevent interruptions.

He turned to a gleaming golden potion resting on his desk.

The potion's radiance was mesmerizing—this was the Alpha Werewolf Transformation Potion.

Though it remained a derivative of the standard Werewolf potion, its creation demanded significant resources.

The formula required fifteen gold coins, a small emerald the size of a fingernail, and three vials of advanced Werewolf potions to amplify its magical properties.

The potion's total cost exceeded 100 gold coins, making it prohibitively expensive to mass-produce.

"Brain Assistant, prepare to integrate the potion's magic into the Bio-Virtual Machine," Su Nan instructed.

[Ready.]

Su Nan tipped the flask and drank its contents in one gulp.

A surge of raw magical energy coursed through his body, merging seamlessly with his existing reserves.

Since he had personally crafted the potion, his absorption was exceptionally smooth.

"So this is how Warwick and Perla felt when they transformed?" Su Nan mused, gripping the edge of the desk for support.

His entire body felt as though it were being reshaped. Pain rippled through every cell and bone, yet it was accompanied by an inexplicable euphoria.

Though it was broad daylight, Su Nan's vision filled with the image of a full moon.

The Werewolf curse was uniquely engineered to connect humans to the power of the full moon, granting them an imperfect form of immortality.

Su Nan's body began to change. He grew taller, surpassing three meters. His frame was enveloped in dense fur, and his muscles hardened like steel. His chest expanded, resembling an armored breastplate.

A low growl escaped his lips, reverberating through the castle.

Every Werewolf in the domain—whether Emissary or elite—felt the presence of their Alpha from the highest tower of the castle.

Suppressing the wild impulses surging within him, Su Nan reminded himself that the Werewolf potions were merely tools for his research and goals. He would not let his emotions dictate his actions.

"Brain Assistant, analyze my current physical state," Su Nan commanded.

In his Alpha form, Su Nan felt an immense power coursing through him. He was confident he could easily overpower a full-grown ox.

Satisfied, he deactivated the Bio-Virtual Machine, reverting to his human form.

Though tempted by the newfound strength, Su Nan remained cautious. Without sufficient information, he couldn't rule out potential conflicts between the Werewolf transformation and future sorcerer advancements.

"Has my mental strength surpassed 10?" Su Nan asked.

[Your base mental strength is now 10. Transforming into an Alpha Werewolf grants an additional 0.5, thanks to the unique enhancements encoded into the potion.]

[This amplification stems from modifications made during the potion's design, enhancing your connection to the wolf pack effect and related mental abilities.]

Su Nan nodded. T

he Alpha Werewolf Transformation Potion was a resounding success. With this new power, he was ready to take the next step in his plans.
