The realm was fucked. Totally bankrupted.

There was no other way of putting it.

Like, how else could a realm be under one million golden dragon debt to the Iron Bank and half a million golden dragon debt to the Lannister House?

And that is during peacetime.

How the fuck did the King put the realm under 1.5 million debts during peacetime.

If there was ever any question about the incompetency of Robert Baratheon as a king, then these statistics were proof that he was clearly not worthy of being a king.

Especially because the Mad King Aerys might have been mad, but he had left the coffers filled with gold before he died.

Finding all these documents was not hard as he just had to make a visit to the Master of Coin at night and do a deep legilimency search.

When he saw the figures, he just sat there and wondered what the fuck the king and his hand were doing.

'Did they want to bankrupt the whole realm by the end of their lives?'

If that was their plan, then they were definitely succeeding spectacularly.

A deeper legilimency search showed him that Robert and his hand didn't really want to bankrupt the realm. In truth, Robert had just lost all reason to live and wanted to drink and whore his way to an early grave.

As for his hand Jon Arryn, he was so busy trying to run the 7 kingdoms in his foster son's stead that he didn't have the time to check the finances properly.

Because of that, upon his wife's insistence, he chose Petyr Baelish to become the Master of Coin and left everything regarding the realm's finances to him.

And that's where the genius of Petyr Baelish was shown as he used various backdoor means to steal from the crown a bit at a time without anyone knowing. He also created his own business empire in King's Landing and took control over all the gold cloaks in the city. Also, half of the mercenaries living in the city were in his pocket.

To be frank, he was rather impressed by the pure genius mind of Petyr Baelish. And, what made his story even more fascinating was the fact that he was doing this because he couldn't get the love of his life.

Petyr was someone whom everyone underestimated. And he took advantage of this and fucked everyone else.

In essence, Petyr was a total badass.

A cunning ruthless and cruel badass who manipulated the events from the shadows but a badass, nonetheless.

It was just a pity that Petyr had to cross paths with him. Especially when he needed to raise funds for his own projects.

He took all the gold dragons that Petyr had hidden in multiple locations that night. Which amounted to a total of 600,000 gold dragons. The rest of his wealth was in the form of whorehouses, real estate, or businesses so he left those alone.

He waited a few more days for the blacksmith named Tobho Mott to finish reforging the Valyrian sword. And in that time, he took out the location of Casterly Rock from Grandmaester Pycelle's mind. He wanted to personally meet Tywin Lannister to bargain with him about the reforged Valyrian sword in the future.

With all that done, he gave his men the order to hold a rope, and with another word, the portkey activated, and they landed back in Dreadfort.

Dreadfort Castle

After he returned to Dreadfort, Domeric chatted with his aunt for a while and narrated to her about his visit to King's Landing. Then he separated from her and went to the godswood to replenish his magic reserve faster.

He really didn't like walking with low magic reserve.

He sat at the foot of the tree and started planning things he would do next while his magic reserve was replenishing. Just as he was about to stand up after his magic reserve was full, he felt a burning pain from the back of his right hand.

This was the second time feeling this burning pain and the first time was the appearance of Symbol of Deathly Hallows on the back of his hang after he came to this world.

Harry looked at his hand and he saw the black and red tattoo of the Symbol of Death become golden color slowly. He realized that after the tattoo became golden color it stopped absorbing magic from air.

'Something changed about the tattoo of the Symbol of Deathly Hallow. Why has it changed its color? Because of is it full?'

He thought to probe the tattoo by sending it some magic, but he stopped himself. He didn't know what would happen, so he needed to go to a secure place first.

So, he returned to his room at Dreadfort and told the servants not to let anyone disturb him. After locking his door, he sat on his bed and a magical probe to the golden tattoo of Symbol of Deathly Hallows on the back of his hand. Then…

Then, for a moment, everything went black. And when his vision came back, he was in a place with no ground and sky, just vast emptiness. He looked around and found nothing except 4 floating orbs made of light. 3 of them were grey and one of them was white.

He tried to leave this place, but he couldn't do it. Looks like he had to solve this mystery first.

When he was thinking about how to go near the orbs, orbs suddenly moved and floated until coming to his side. And when they arrived at his side they stayed still while floating in the air.

The three orbs were full grey, and he couldn't see what was inside. But when he looked at the white orb, he saw a book inside the orb. When he put his hand close to the orb some information appeared in his mind even if he didn't touch the orb.

'A book about Paper and Printing?' that was information.
