The outer sect disciples of the Kunlun Sect were surprised and confused to see this.

They just didn't expect this reaction from the embryo.

But since they didn't expect it, they also didn't know what this reaction symbolized. As such, they had no idea what was happening with the embryo.

As such, they didn't know what they were supposed to do. They were thinking about helping it, but they also didn't know what was happening, so it wasn't as if they could do anything to help it.

Their expressions turned ugly when they heard this, but there was nothing that they could say to refute this. After all, they had no idea what was currently happening to the embryo.

Regardless, this wasn't the time to remain silent, "Do you think that you'll get away with this? If something happens to this embryo, you should already know what will happen to you and the rest of your group. Betraying the Ye Family is not an easy thing to do and betraying the Kunlun Sect will only make things worse."

"If you don't know what's happening, then you should be quiet and wait. The embryo is absorbing it and transforming." Ye Qing Huan said without a single trace of fear in her voice.

The expressions on the faces of the Kunlun Sect group became even uglier, but they didn't say anything in the end. There really was nothing that they could say since they knew that Ye Qing Huan was right.

But they did move closer to Ye Qing Huan and Lin Fan, as if they were prepared to attack them if something did happen.

If the embryo didn't develop the way that it was supposed to, their only choice would be to run and they would have to take care of these two first. They would take them back with them in an attempt to ask for forgiveness from the fourth elder.

After a long period of silence, there was finally a reaction from the embryo.

It seemed to shake at first as if it was reacting to something.

The outer sect disciples of the Kunlun Sect all looked at the embryo carefully as they waited to see what would happen with it. There were traces of hope that were in their eyes as they looked at it.

They hoped that whatever was happening was a good sign.

And in the end, that hope of theirs was answered.

There was this red glow that seemed to appear inside of the embryo, which made their eyes light up the moment that they saw this. That was because this was a sign that the embryo was developing the way that it was supposed to develop.

This red symbolized the blood that the embryo was supposed to absorb from the living to develop itself.

It was a sign that there was nothing wrong with the embryo's development.

It was even a sign that the creature inside of the embryo was about to appear.

So as soon as they saw this, they completely forgot about Ye Qing Huan and Lin Fan.

The Kunlun Sect group's attention was completely on the embryo, instead of Ye Qing Huan and Lin Fan. It was almost as if they forgot that the two of them were still in the room with them, as they only seemed to care about the embryo.

Because of this, they didn't notice that there was a strange look that was in Ye Qing Huan's eyes as she looked at the embryo.

It was only Lin Fan who noticed this, but he didn't say anything since he already knew exactly what she was planning.

After another while, the embryo finally started to give a different reaction.

This reaction was completely different from the ones that it had given before because it finally started to tear apart. The skin that made up the outer layer of the embryo had small tears in them, as if there was something that was coming out from it.

In no time at all, these tears became large tears that revealed what was inside of the embryo.

It was dark skin.

It was some kind of humanoid creature that was inside of the embryo, but this dark skin didn't even seem like the skin of a human. That was because it was so dark that it seemed like it had been burnt to a crisp.

It was as if what was inside had been burnt from the moment that it was born.

However, no one panicked when they saw the dark burnt skin of the demonic creature.

They all knew that this was normal for this demonic creature, so they just waited for it to come out. Or they would have if not for the fact that the Kunlun Sect group seemed to remember something.

They slowly approached the embryo, as if they were afraid that it would do something to them. But seeing that the demonic creature was just focused on coming out of the embryo, they were able to make it to the side of the embryo.

With a wave of their hands, there were several buckets that appeared that they placed near the embryo.

There was this red liquid that was inside of these buckets.

At the same time, there was this smell that filled the air.

It was a sort of metallic smell that immediately filled the cave, a smell that Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan were easily able to figure out. It was a smell that they had smelled before and were even familiar with since it was a common sight in this cultivation world.

This was the smell of blood.

Each of these buckets seemed to be filled to the brim and it didn't seem like the blood that was in them had a trace of spiritual energy in it. This was blood that was taken from mortals or normal animals.

But both Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan knew that these people from the Kunlun Sect wouldn't just take the blood of animals.

For the best results, using the blood of humans was best.

Ye Qing Huan narrowed her eyes to look at them and Lin Fan could feel a trace of killing intent come from her. It was just a good thing that they were focused on the embryo that they didn't notice or it would have caused a problem.

Once the embryo finally opened up properly and the demonic creature was revealed, they relaxed a bit.

They had been worried since the embryo hadn't developed the way that they were instructed and so they were worried that it would affect the plan. But now that the embryo had finished developing and the demonic creature was out, they were naturally more relaxed since they didn't have to worry about the plan failing because of them.

If the plan had failed because of them, they wouldn't be able to handle the consequences.

But once they finished letting themselves be relaxed like this, they started thinking of something else.

That was when they finally turned back to look at Ye Qing Huan and Lin Fan.

The look in their eyes was as if they were plotting something against them and that was because they were.

They were plotting on how to take the credit for this accomplishment away from Ye Qing Huan and Lin Fan. After all, it was their fault that they were in this situation and it was only because they brought the blood red spider lily that this issue was solved.

So they wanted to make sure that the Kunlun Sect never found out about this, as well as take credit for helping the demonic creature be born from the embryo.

As long as they took this credit, they would be able to earn more benefits from the fourth elder and the Kunlun Sect.

This was what they were used to doing in the Kunlun Sect, so it was what their minds immediately turned to once everything worked out.

Only things weren't going to go the way that they planned for it to go.

"Roar…" The demonic creature's first reaction when it came out of the embryo was to give a roar that seemed to be filled with pain as it clutched its chest.

There was something red that appeared on its chest as it held it.

It didn't seem like this was a natural thing with the way that it was reacting.

That red spot on its chest just became bigger and bigger until it suddenly burst.

There was a spray of red blood that came out of the demonic creature before it fell to the ground.

With the way that this happened, it was as if it had exploded from the inside out.

After collapsing, the demonic creature didn't move at all. With the way that it just laid there, it really seemed like it was dead.

"Just what happened?"

That was the only thing that the Kunlun Sect group could think.
