4: The Location
Bai Ling didn’t notice that she was captivated by Yuan Xiaoning for a few seconds… of course, even if she had noticed, she wouldn’t admit it.
She thought for a moment and said, “First, that wasn’t a battle, it was a massacre.”
The other side didn’t even have a chance to retaliate.
“Secondly, Valentine’s Day is a pointless holiday. I don’t care about it.”
Yuan Xiaoning was about to explain that this was their own Liyue holiday, but she noticed Bai Ling giving a deep look at her… large breasts and thighs, then saying:
“However, going out for a while might not be a bad idea. Not just for pure enjoyment, but because walking around outside might inspire some breakthrough ideas.”
Though she said this, Yuan Xiaoning was certain that Bai Ling had decided to go out after seeing her figure and imagining some scenes.
So she decided to probe actively: “Where shall we go to play?”
“It’s not playing, it’s seeking inspiration,” Bai Ling first corrected her wording, then hinted, “As for where to go, isn’t there a place you’ve always wanted to visit?”
“Where?” Yuan Xiaoning couldn’t recall for a moment.
“When I first asked you where you wanted to go,” Bai Ling hinted again, “during the May Day holiday.”
May Day holiday, that was at the Zhang residence, Yuan Xiaoning carefully recalled, visualizing the scene of Bai Ling gently asking where she’d like to go on a date.
“…The beach?”
“You’ve always wanted to go, right? It’s perfect,” Bai Ling said calmly. “The beach is far from the city’s noise, making one feel as if they’ve stepped out of the situation, able to view problems from a clearer perspective.”
Yuan Xiaoning pouted slightly, thinking that Bai Ling clearly decided to go to the beach to see her large breasts and thighs.
“Pervert,” she muttered softly.
“What?”
“I said that’s reasonable.”
And so it was decided.
In the evening, after finishing the day’s classes, Yuan Xiaoning returned to her seldom-visited dormitory.
Her roommate opened the computer and sent her the thesis topic.
“‘Subcultures that have disappeared in time’?” Yuan Xiaoning blinked in confusion. “What’s that?”
“It’s about popular cultures that have already disappeared,” Qiao Lili said. “Like Touhou or something.”
“Touhou is still alive… and why are we doing this?” Yuan Xiaoning was puzzled.
Aren’t we in the broadcasting department?
“Maybe it’s because most people in our department aspire to work in certain subculture circles,” Gu Hui speculated. “The teacher wants us to consider our career choices from a long-term perspective.”
The people in their class either wanted to voice act in historical dramas, become CVs for anime games, or commentate on e-sports game competitions.
“Disappeared popular cultures, huh…”
Yuan Xiaoning suddenly remembered the cross-generational friend she added today, recalling the red headgear in his space: “I have an idea…”
“Let’s talk about the thesis topic next week. Xiaoning, tell us what we’re interested in,” Qiao Lili sat up. “Where are you and Bai Ling going on your date tomorrow?”
“The beach,” Yuan Xiaoning answered.
Upon hearing this, both roommates stopped what they were doing and looked at her meaningfully.
“Ooh~~”
“Tsk tsk.”
Yuan Xiaoning’s face tensed: “Don’t make assumptions. We’re relaxing and seeking inspiration.”
“Come on, with your figure, once you put on a swimsuit and stand in front of Bai Ling, what inspiration could she possibly have?” Qiao Lili said.
Gu Hui made a ball-handling gesture: “She might think about how to play beach volleyball.”
“That’s true,” Qiao Lili laughed too. “The inspiration for beach volleyball wouldn’t just be there, it would be huge!”
The two roommates burst into laughter. Yuan Xiaoning puffed her cheeks: “Bai Ling isn’t that kind of person.”
Although even she didn’t believe what she was saying.
After some teasing, it was Gu Hui who stood up and said understandingly: “Alright, alright, let’s go to sleep early. Let Xiaoning rest well to prepare for tomorrow.”
“Indeed,” Qiao Lili agreed to turn off the lights.
Yuan Xiaoning pouted slightly, mumbled a bit, but gave up on arguing and obediently crawled into bed.
They’re right, better rest well. Otherwise, how would she handle tomorrow?
Sigh, pervert.
Zzzz
Meanwhile, in the sports department’s female dormitory, Bai Ling was similarly facing her roommates’ curiosity.
Regarding her roommates, Bai Ling didn’t have much impression from her previous life, as her time at school was brief and she didn’t like interacting with people. However, they had never mocked her.
Now she realized they were quite gossipy…
“Bai Ling, I heard you were in a bad mood today. Is it because Yuan Xiaoning didn’t prepare a Valentine’s Day gift?”
“No,” Bai Ling said calmly. “It’s some other matters.”
How ridiculous, how could she be in a bad mood for such a trivial reason?
“I see, so that means she did prepare a gift?” The roommate was very curious. “What gift did the campus beauty Yuan prepare for you?”
“No gift. It’s just an ordinary day that’s not really a holiday,” Bai Ling said as if unconcerned. “We’ve just agreed to go to the beach for a trip.”
Is she really unconcerned? But why does she inexplicably feel happy inside, like a student showing off that her girl is the most beautiful in school?
Bai Ling rubbed her head, feeling that she must be mentally fatigued from not sleeping for two days.
“The beach?” The roommate’s eyes lit up when she heard this. “You’re in for a treat then. I can’t even imagine your Yuan campus beauty in a swimsuit.”
Indeed, this was the main reason she decided to go to the beach… of course, more importantly, the beach air is good and can make one’s mind clearer.
At least that’s what Bai Ling told herself.
“Bai Ling, since you’re going on a beach date, can you take a few photos of the campus beauty in her swimsuit?”
As soon as one roommate finished speaking, she suddenly felt the air in the dorm grow cold and hurriedly explained: “Don’t misunderstand, I’m not a lesbian. I’m just curious to see.”
In the end, Bai Ling didn’t agree. Who knows if it wasn’t some bizarre smoke screen?

Dawn broke, and people woke up.
Yuan Xiaoning had wanted to sleep in a bit, but she had gone to bed so early last night that she woke up bright and early, unable to fall back asleep.
“Where can I buy a swimsuit?” she asked her roommates. “Is there anywhere on campus?”
Gu Hui shook her head: “Definitely not on campus, because there’s no school swimsuit that would fit you. Besides, didn’t you buy one before? You said you wanted to cosplay someone.”
Yuan Xiaoning was taken aback: “Did I?”
“Yes, you did,” Qiao Lili, lying on the bed playing with her phone, said. “It’s in the closet. You said you wanted to cosplay Sena Kashiwazaki.”
Is… is that so?
Yuan Xiaoning opened the closet dubiously and indeed saw a light blue string bikini on a hanger.
There was very little fabric, just three pieces of cloth and some strings. The fabric was so sparse it only covered the middle, leaving the sides exposed. It seemed designed to save fabric regardless of bust size.
My goodness, how risqué.
