Who Stole My Eggs?

Chapter 27

Xie Zuo followed Feng Yi out of the car, admiring the intricately decorated pavilions and savoring the soft, sweet fragrance in the air. He had a vague sense of where they were.

“Oh, Master Hong, it’s been a while since you visited!”

From the building adorned with the Qunfang Pavilion sign on the left, an old woman with a large red flower in her hair emerged. She wore silk and satin, exuding a richer scent of powder. Her face beamed with a smile as if she had just seen her biological father.

Feng Yi casually tossed her a piece of gold and seized Xie Zuo. “Aunt Hua, I brought my brother here to broaden his horizons. Take good care of him!”

Aunt Hua swiftly weighed the gold, tucked it into her waist, and her smile became more kind and sincere, “Don’t worry, Master Hong. Your brother is the master. We promise to serve him comfortably! Come on, come on, Room No. 1 of Tianzi has been reserved for you. If you don’t show up, the girls here will cry until their faces are stained, and I’ll be worried to death.”

Feng Yi waved his fan, a frivolous smile on his face, and encountered an acquaintance as they ascended the stairs. Playfully tapping a girl’s butt with his bird feather fan, he made her burst into laughter. Feng Yi casually rewarded her with a beautiful jade hanging from his belt. Upon reaching the top floor, Xie Zuo looked back and saw the girl still gazing at Feng Yi lovingly.

.

In the private room, Aunt Hua assisted Feng Yi and Xie Zuo in sitting down and asked diligently, “What would you two like?” As she spoke, she winked at the boy next to her, who promptly presented two booklets before them.

Xie Zuo took a look; the booklets contained portraits, talents, and service fees of all the girls in the establishment.

Aunt Hua enthusiastically recommended, “The girls here excel in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting. It depends on what the masters prefer.”

Feng Yi remained silent, observing Xie Zuo with a tilted head.

Without experience or interest in various beauties, Xie Zuo, not wanting to appear indecisive, ordered seven or eight of the most expensive girls at once. “Bring them here first.”

Aunt Hua hesitated, feeling a bit embarrassed. She thought to herself that this guy might not be here to cause trouble, but these girls were quite arrogant. Usually, she had to coax them, and calling them all at once might provoke their tempers.

Feng Yi chuckled, producing a handful of banknotes from his sleeve and handing them to Aunt Hua. “Thank you for your trouble.”

Counting the money, Aunt Hua’s eyes brightened. Money wasn’t a concern, so she patted her chest and promised, “Please wait a moment.”

While Xie Zuo enjoyed some fruit and music, Aunt Hua soon arrived with eight experienced girls, all briefed in advance. Upon entering, they regarded Xie Zuo as the primary focus, standing obediently for him to choose.

As Xie Zuo ate grapes, he felt a bit uneasy with so many beautiful girls standing before him. Slowly setting down the grapes, he pondered what to do. Should he take them all and head to the room for a while? But…

The girls, all beautiful, captured everyone’s attention, but Xie Zuo remained disinterested. While inexperienced in matters of intimacy, he wasn’t ignorant. Having been close to Huo Yao several times before, he understood desire and how to address it.

Staring at each other, Xie Zuo and the girls reached a prolonged impasse. The girls’ legs grew sore from standing, and Xie Zuo picked up the half-eaten grapes again, appreciating their sweetness.

Aunt Hua struggled to maintain a smile. Was this young man here just to cause trouble?

Feng Yi clapped his hands, admitting, “It’s all my fault, Aunt Hua, the girls are tired.” He stood up. “I’ll take this brother shopping across the way. Let’s go, beauties!”

Feng Yi pulled Xie Zuo away, who also held onto a fruit plate.

Aunt Hua’s mouth twitched. If it weren’t for the ample money, she might have started cursing. He liked men, so why did they come to her Qunfang Pavilion?!

.

On the opposite side, as Feng Yi mentioned, was Qunying Hui, facing Qunfang Pavilion and opening its doors. The head of the establishment was a middle-aged man with gentle features, known as Master Lin.

Master Lin and Feng Yi were old acquaintances. He welcoming them with a smile, he expertly led them to the private room with the best view.

Upon discovering that Xie Zuo was today’s distinguished guest, Master Lin asked Feng Yi, “How should we arrange it?”

Feng Yi, glancing at Xie Zuo exploring the room while eating fruit, smiled and whispered to something, Master Lin nodded and discreetly withdrew.

After a while, two beautiful young men entered, one carrying a fruit plate with various fresh fruits, and the other with a food plate featuring various dishes. They walked slowly towards Xie Zuo and knelt beside him.

“Please taste it,” the teenagers said in unison, their soft voices carrying an indistinguishable sense of beauty.

Xie Zuo glanced left and right; both young men were uniquely beautiful. Beneath their translucent clothes, their slender bodies exuded charm.

However, Xie Zuo found the allure of delicious food far surpassing their beauty. He indulged in the snacks, finding them delicate and flavorful, and the fresh fruits crisp and juicy. Compared to what Huo Yao had provided him before, these were a delight.

Ignoring the beauties, Xie Zuo continued to eat. Feng Yi, patient, didn’t rush him. Seeing that Xie Zuo had nearly finished, he suggested, “The wine here is excellent. Huo Er never gave you any good wine. Want to try it?”

“Okay.”

Feng Yi gestured for the two young men to leave, got up, and went out to arrange matters with Master Lin. Returning with a playful smile, he mentioned the wine was here.

The door opened, revealing a tall, muscular figure approaching Xie Zuo. As he saw the person clearly, Xie Zuo’s heart skipped a beat.

This adult man wore a low-key black tunic, boasting a handsome and muscular appearance, tall and straight, with broad shoulders and long legs. At first glance, his body shape resembled Huo Yao’s.

“Dear guest, your wine,” the man said solemnly, placing the heavy wine jar in front of Xie Zuo.

Xie Zuo couldn’t help but look at him twice. This man differed from the beautiful young man before. He didn’t seek to please, maintaining an expressionless face with downcast eyebrows, yet stood straight.

Seeing Xie Zuo’s hesitation, the man glanced at him, opened the wine jar, filled a cup for Xie Zuo, and held it with both hands, presenting it to him.

Upon witnessing this, Feng Yi stood up and left quietly.

Master Lin, noticing Feng’s exit, whispered, “Is he satisfied?”

Feng Yi smiled and replied, “Perhaps.”

.

Inside the room, a breeze carried the man’s fragrance to Xie Zuo’s nose. He gazed at the cup of wine held before him, deep in thought.

That guy, Huo Yao… his scent wasn’t like this; it was a better aroma. That murderer wouldn’t serve him like this; he only scolded him. This wasn’t okay, and that wasn’t okay…

The man silently observed Xie Zuo for a while, then reached out to undo Xie Zuo’s clothes. Seeing no objection, he lowered his head to kiss him.

Xie Zuo turned his head, avoiding it. “Go.”

The man fell silent for a moment. “Yes.”

Master Lin was surprised when he saw the man emerge. “What’s wrong? Why is that man dissatisfied?”

The man responded, “I’m afraid he has someone in his heart.” With that, he turned around and left.

Master Lin seemed distressed and offered an apologetic smile to Feng Yi, “I’m sorry, Master Hong, this matter didn’t go well.”

Feng Yi waved his hand, “It has nothing to do with you; I understand. I’ll have the boy bring you a box of antiques tomorrow. I know you have a knack for that.”

Master Lin suddenly beamed, “Thank you, Master Hong, for the reward!”

.

Feng Yi pushed the door open and entered. He found Xie Zuo standing on the railing. Walking up to him, he shook his fan and asked softly, “Why, didn’t you like it?”

Xie Zuo remained silent.

“In the human world, there’s a saying that love is vast,” Feng Yi explained slowly. “If you accept anyone who comes and engage with anyone, it’s just desire. But when it’s only one person, and you don’t want a third person to interfere, that’s liking, loving. Do you understand?”

“Boom—” thunder roared overhead. “Wow!” Heavy rain began to fall.
