Who Stole My Eggs?

Chapter 2

“Ah-woo!”

Xie Zuo got his wish and swallowed Huo Yao in one gulp, devouring it impatiently.

Ah-ha-ha! Xie Zuo was ecstatic as he tasted the blood, and his thick, long tail slapped the ground happily, causing the entire abyss to shake.

He closed his eyes, relishing the wonderful touch of Huo Yao against his throat.

However, Xie Zuo did not take it lightly. He tightly closed his mouth, fearing that Huo Yao might escape.

The joy did not last long; Xie Zuo soon felt bursts of stinging pain. The pain intensified, turning into a heart-wrenching agony like a knife.

“Hoo-!” Xie Zuo refused to let go, so he swung his tail over and wrapped it around his large mouth.

Today was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Huo Yao was rarely so weak; so, he must digest him.

When Huo Yao turned into flesh and blood in his stomach, he would gain the divine power of heavenly deity, and this mere abyss would never be able to trap him again!

“Stab-!”

“Rumble–!”

Electric light emanated from Xie Zuo’s body, accompanied by terrifying thunder.

Xie Zuo rolled over in pain; it was excruciating and uncomfortable! Ahhhhhhh, help-!

“You bastard, you still haven’t opened your mouth!” Huo Yao scolded.

Xie Zuo, enduring the burning pain of lightning, didn’t open his mouth; instead, he tightened his grip.

Silently reciting the Heart Sutra, he wished to turn Huo Yao into a pool of blood immediately.

“Roar——!” Xie Zuo let out a deafening roar.

Several rays of golden light burst from his body, transforming into blades as thin as cicada wings, slicing his long and bloated body into countless pieces!

With flesh and blood flying everywhere, Huo Yao jumped out, thunder and lightning condensed into a spear in his hand. Without hesitation, he flew straight towards Xie Zuo’s forehead.

Poor Xie Zuo only had a big snake head left. Seeing the spear attacking at his center forehead, he couldn’t hide, so he closed his eyes in resignation.

The scorching lightning burned his skin, but it didn’t go any further.

Huo Yao pointed his spear at him, but there was a bit of surprise on his face.

Seizing the opportunity, Xie Zuo knocked Huo Yao away hard with his head.

Huo Yao had been seriously injured long ago, reaching the end of his strength. The mountain-like head collided with another mountain, and he vomited a large mouthful of blood before fainting.

As his body slipped, the other half of his golden armor shattered into pieces.

Before Xie Zuo closed his eyes, he still thought unwillingly, ‘I’m going to… eat him…’

The two of them made a huge fuss and fighting to the death, frightening all the ghosts and demons lingering in the abyss, thus waking them up.

On ordinary days, Huo Yao, the Great Deity of Thunder, sat above the abyss, while Xie Zuo, the gluttonous demon king, wreaked havoc below. The demons inside remained dormant, fearing death if they weren’t careful.

Today, the demons were initially frightened, but upon realizing the two big guys were dying after the fight, bold individuals sought revenge.

The first to jump out of the abyss was an Earthly Fire Yaksha, several feet tall with green flames burning all over its body. Severely injured by Huo Yao and sealed here for spreading plague in the world thousands of years ago, it was one of the biggest demons in the abyss before Xie Zuo arrived.

It deeply hated Huo Yao and coveted Xie Zuo’s demonic power.

Devouring was the easiest way for these demons to increase their strength.

The Earthly Fire Yaksha picked up a piece of Xie Zuo’s scattered flesh and blood, devouring it while looking at the big head on the ground with salivation.

Having long observed that the demon king’s core was in his forehead, the Earthly Fire Yaksha planned to dig it out to kill him completely. Eating the demon core would make it the new generation of demon king!

As the new demon king, it would disembowel the Great Thunder Deity and gouge out his heart to avenge his pain from the thunder and fire.

The Earthly Fire Yaksha wiped its mouth, stepped forward, and grabbed Xie Zuo’s big snake head.

After seeing the Earthly Fire Yaksha moved and Xie Zuo wasn’t reacting violently. More evil spirits gathered around, wanting to take one more bite of Xie Zuo.

As soon as Xie Zuo opened his eyes, he saw a group of demons dancing around, eating and drinking. Upon closer inspection, these monstrous creatures were feasting on his body!

Two little demons fought over the tip of his tail.

“This is unreasonable,” Xie Zuo exclaimed in anger.

But he could only be helpless and furious for the moment. Seriously injured by Huo Yao, the body he had finally raised was torn apart. He was lucky to have his head intact, unable to use any demonic power at this moment.

Just as Xie Zuo was being dragged away by Earthly Fire Yaksha, Huo Yao also woke up.

The once majestic Deity of Thunder was in a miserable state, with all his golden armor shattered, leaving only a pair of trousers.

Seeing him getting up from the ground, all the demons immediately dispersed.

Earthly Fire Yaksha also wanted to speed up, but Xie Zuo’s head was too huge and heavy, preventing him from moving any faster.

Xie Zuo saw that he was being dragged further and further away, while Huo Yao just watched indifferently with his arms folded, seemingly uninterested in helping.

“Then uh…” Xie Zuo shouted, “Can you help me?”

Huo Yao remained motionless.

Didn’t care about losing face at this critical time, Xie Zuo closed his eyes and howled, “Great Deity of Thunder, come and save me!”

Huo Yao: “Why?”

“Why…” Xie Zuo was furious, “If this ugly Yaksha eats me, he will become the new demon king. You might not be able to suppress it now! When it escapes, it will be your responsibility for destroy all life in the world. Haven’t you always claimed to be the patron saint of the world? Do you really have the heart to see those poor little people die miserably? What wrongs have I done? Isn’t it just that I ate too much!”

Huo Yao finally moved. He seemed to be strolling leisurely, but there was a faint flash of thunder and lightning in his hands.

Anyone severely beaten by the Great Thunder Deity knew this was a sign that he was accumulating strength.

Originally, Earthly Fire Yaksha panicked upon seeing Huo Yao waking up, and his scalp became numb at the crackle of thunder and lightning. Without waiting for Huo Yao to approach, it decisively abandoned Xie Zuo and ran away.

Xie Zuo fell to the ground, watching Huo Yao approaching, and shamelessly continued to beg for mercy: “Heavenly Thunder Deity, have mercy on me. In fact, I didn’t want to do anything. I didn’t want you to fall down and I was afraid of hurting you, so I picked you up specifically.”

Huo Yao sneered: “Catch me with your mouth?”

Xie Zuo blinked: “The tongue is the softest part of my body. What’s the point of catching it if I don’t use my mouth?”

Huo Yao got closer, and there was still something in his hand. Electricity crackled in the air, and Xie Zuo’s skin was tense. He secretly thought this was going to be bad, and he would be struck by lightning again.

Unexpectedly, Huo Yao suddenly staggered and knelt down on one knee.

Huo Yao supported himself on Xie Zuo with one hand. As soon as he touched, Xie Zuo knew that this guy, like himself, had lost all his strength and had no trace of his divine power.

It turned out he was just pretending to scare people; why was this person so hypocritical!

Looking at him from such a close distance, Huo Yao’s face was as pale as paper, and his lips were pale. How could he still look as arrogant as usual?

Xie Zuo was afraid that he would dig out his demon core to replenish his divine power. He rolled his eyes and said, “Let’s make a truce for now. If we continue to fight, we will both die without a place to bury. I know a good place to help restore our power; follow me. Let’s go.”

Huo Yao nodded.

Xie Zuo mobilized his remaining demon power and transformed into a big snake as thick as arm. He climbed onto Huo Yao and wrapped around his waist.

Looking up and looking down, he said, “Go that way.”
