Chapter Five: The Privileges of Source Martial Academy Students
The morning in Zero City was shrouded in light mist.
Yuyin stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, holding her recently flashing phone. The fullness beneath her white strapless top swayed with the morning breeze.
She received an official email from the QQ-verified Zero City Academy, and upon opening it, it was indeed the electronic version of the admission notice.
Although everything was expected, Yuyin still couldn’t hide her excitement when she actually held it in her hands. Reflecting on how she had found the only path in a state of helplessness and made the decision to apply to the Source Martial Academy, she hadn’t even known what source energy was.
In just two months, she had managed to gain admission to one of the top source martial arts academies in Huaxia as the top scorer in the national college entrance examination. How could she not feel emotional?
The ups and downs of these two months had not only significantly improved her strength but also tempered Yuyin’s mindset.
“However, it seems that a physical admission notice feels more substantial…” Yuyin murmured. According to the email, the physical admission notice would be sent soon.
At this moment, Yuyin picked up her phone but felt a wave of confusion. Generally, such good news should be shared with her parents, but her mother in this life had gone to Africa and had not been heard from since.
“Once I enter Zero City Academy and my strength and status improve, I should be able to find a way to inquire about my mother’s whereabouts,” Yuyin thought.
She called Ying Luo.
“Really? Congratulations, president—oh no… Miss Xia.”
Upon hearing the news, Ying Luo was naturally happy. The two agreed that Ying Luo would come over to cultivate today, and of course, she would also come to play since Yuyin had moved to a new home, and Ying Luo hadn’t visited yet.
In the afternoon, the elevator monitor downstairs chimed, and Ying Luo had arrived.
“Oh.” Although Ying Luo was the type of girl who remained calm in any situation, upon seeing the spacious open-plan living room, which offered a panoramic view of Zero City, she couldn’t help but express her admiration.
“Look, this second-floor jump platform is where I usually train.”
Yuyin led Ying Luo upstairs, where several fitness machines were placed.
Ying Luo’s gaze, however, fell upon the leather chair and the covered horizontal board that one could lie on. This was where Yuyin trained day and night, with her skin pressed tightly against it…
“This is even better than the equipment at the gym near my house,” Ying Luo said thoughtfully.
“Ying Luo, since you live nearby, you can come here to train often,” Yuyin smiled.
“Eh? Is that okay? Wouldn’t it trouble you?”
“How could it? It’s so big here; I feel quite lonely by myself.”
“Hmm, then okay.” Ying Luo smiled slightly.
“How many rooms are there?” she asked, looking around.
“About five rooms of various sizes, and three bathrooms,” Yuyin replied. “If you come to train and it gets too late, you can stay here; after all, I’m the only one here.”
“Oh… really?” Ying Luo turned her back to Yuyin, facing a potted plant, her slender figure trembling slightly.
“If we dual cultivate, we can do it in this dedicated training room or in the sunroom here on the second floor.” The sunroom was a glass house on the side balcony.
Such a good house; not to mention now, Yuyin had never lived in such a place even before her rebirth. She was very satisfied with it.
“Ying Luo, let’s get started with our training.”
“Mm, okay.” Ying Luo nodded slightly.
Just as the two were about to begin their training, a somewhat urgent knocking sound came from downstairs.
This apartment management was very strict; one needed to pass through video intercom control downstairs to come up. Who could be knocking? Could it be the property management?
So Yuyin put on a white shirt and went downstairs with Ying Luo to open the door.
When she opened the door, she found that the two agents who had introduced Yuyin to this apartment were there, along with a short young man with curly hair carrying a large bag.
“What are you doing here…”
“Miss Xia, I’m sorry, I brought this foreign client to see the apartment.”
“See the apartment?” Yuyin was puzzled. “I’m not planning to move.”
“It’s like this, Miss Xia. This is Mr. Rujini from the Southeast Asian country of Sumatra. He really likes this apartment and wanted to rent it, but due to some issues, he’s now looking to rent it again.” One tall agent explained.
“Ah? This place is quite nice; I’m not planning to move for the time being.” Yuyin frowned slightly, while Ying Luo remained silent beside her.
“We’re already at the door; can we let Mr. Rujini take a look inside first?” The slightly chubby, dyed-hair agent wanted to enter.
Yuyin had personal items and clothing in the room; how could she let someone in without reason?
Yuyin blocked the doorway, “Since I’m not planning to move, why should I let you look?”
Mr. Rujini showed a hint of disdain in his eyes upon hearing this, but facing Yuyin’s figure, he revealed a bit of interest and spoke to the tall agent in a language Yuyin couldn’t understand.
The tall agent said to Yuyin, “It’s like this, Mr. Rujini is a newly admitted international student at the Donglun Source Martial Academy in Zero City. For his training and personal life, he really needs this apartment. We hope Miss Xia can be accommodating. We can refund you the rent and deposit; when do you plan to move?”
“What?” Yuyin’s expression turned cold. “What do you mean by this? Where’s the landlord?”
“The landlord is very busy; this apartment is fully managed by us.” The agent replied.
“I signed a contract with you; are you going to breach it?” Yuyin said coldly.
“Ha ha, Zero City is a city of law; we certainly won’t breach the contract. Mr. Rujini said that if you move out today, he can immediately pay you the breach of contract fee.”
Upon hearing this, Yuyin’s eyes turned icy. They wanted to pay her to leave immediately? Was this an insult?
“There are so many houses in Zero City; why does this gentleman insist on renting this one? Moreover, my friend has already bought so many things; how can we just move out? You’re being unreasonable!” Ying Luo couldn’t help but speak up.
“Ha ha, Mr. Rujini just likes the location and view here. Besides, we’re willing to pay the breach of contract fee; the rest is no longer our concern.” The tall agent shrugged.
“Where’s the landlord? I signed a contract with the landlord; you’re just acting as an agent and have no right to make me leave, right?” Yuyin felt there was likely something fishy going on since the landlord wasn’t present.
“The landlord is very busy; we’ve said it’s full authority.” The tall agent said.
“Miss Xia, seeing that you’re a beautiful woman, you should be a cultured person. I advise you to consider this.” The chubby agent smugly pointed his thumb at the Southeast Asian youth behind him, speaking with a hint of threat, “You wouldn’t know the privileges that Source Martial Academy students have in Huaxia, would you? This Mr. Rujini has just been admitted to the Donglun Source Martial Academy, which is a legitimate second-tier source martial academy! He enjoys privileges that surpass ordinary citizens. Offering you a breach of contract fee is already very courteous. Even if we don’t give you a single cent and ask you to move, you have to move immediately!”
