Volume 1 Art 🎨 (Includes sneak peek)
Hi Everyone!
As you've already figured out, this is the end of Volume 1... and since I am still working on Story 6 (the first story for Volume 2) I'm doing an art post! *Sweats nervously*
I know you all would prefer a good 3k words to go with this but this is all I can do for now. Also, art is expensive, y'all. I want you to appreciate it.
I'm going to try and get a Patreon up once story 6 is complete so I can use subscriptions to pay for more art (since I don't have the time to work on it myself (plus I'm reaaaaaly not an amazing character artist... maybe I'll do some sketches later to prove it). In the meantime, you can always donate to my Ko-Fi account here...

Here is an image of Lin when she was an adult. Doesn't she look exactly how you imagined her inner adult self to be? Gorgeous, confident, and could definitely kick someone's ass.
Artist Name: J.C. Tsuu
Business Email: [email protected]
This beautiful image above was originally composed and sketched by the wonderful Ms. Tsuu who finished the Adult version of Lin at the top. Since I liked this composition so much I decided to finish it by cleaning, coloring, and rendering it, so any mistakes are mine! Ms. Tsuu would have done a much better job, but I'm still happy with how it turned out. 🥰
Lin is obviously preparing a medicinal bath of some kind since she obviously would be standing if she were doing regular alchemy. 😉
This was the original image I threw together for Story 1's cover. It's still adorable AF. I drew it not to be an accurate representation of what the characters looked like, but to show the feeling I wanted the story to have. Basically, adorable Xianxia and a little chaotic. It also took me at least 15-20 hours considering how shitty my old laptop was. Thank fuck Brooklyn 99 had a season I'd missed watching as it kept me sane while I waited for my laptop to catch up.
And this is the image of the One Horned, One-Eyed, Flying Purple Python Monster (spiritual beast) that I drew for story 4. This took maybe 3-6 hours? But if I were still using my old laptop, it would have taken like 10-12 hours... Seriously, my old laptop did not like Photoshop and I couldn't even use my Wacom tablet anymore without it taking 10-30 seconds between each stroke of the pen. Which killed any momentum I might have had while drawing.
Below is a very short sneak peek at the first 400 words of Story 6 - Slapping Faces and Entering Sects (Part 1).
- This has only been slightly edited. Things will change to improve how they sound when spoken aloud.
- I may also have a better idea and change the whole thing by next week as I’m pretty sure I can write a better (and actually funny) training scene with more humor once I figure out exactly what I want to happen here. *sweats nervously* Things like this are why I‘ve always been nervous about setting up a Patreon for WIFTTTTA. Comedy is hard.
