Chapter 122: Side Story : Darkest Bizzare Adventure (2)
A swirling portal tore through reality, crackling with energy. From within, a figure stepped out—a lone traveler from another world.
"It seems... I've been teleported to the Middle Ages. And from the looks of it, they're in the middle of something big."
Above, the sky darkened as ominous clouds gathered. A deafening boom shook the air, making the ground tremble beneath the feet of panicked citizens. A massive shadow loomed over the city walls.
"R-RUN!!!"
"It's the Colossal Titan!!!"
"Evacuate everyone! We must flee!"
"Stand your ground! We have to protect our people!"
"Like hell we can fight that thing! Get out of my way!"
Darkest's eyes narrowed as he recognized the monstrous figure standing at sixty meters tall, its skinless body exuding steam in the cold morning air.
"Hmm... I see. So this is the Attack on Titan world." He smirked, unbothered by the chaos around him. Without hesitation, he pulled out a glowing capsule from his belt. "I don't have time for small disputes here. Let's even the odds."
The capsule burst open in a blinding flash, releasing a towering beast—Ex-Tyrant—twice the size of the Colossal Titan. Its very presence sent shivers down the spines of all who bore witness.
"Another monster?! Are you serious?!"
"This... this is beyond anything humanity could ever comprehend..."
A guttural roar shattered the air as Ex-Tyrant let loose its terrifying battle cry. The ground shook violently, and even the Colossal Titan hesitated for the first time.
"Finish him," Darkest commanded.
Ex-Tyrant charged, shaking the very earth beneath its feet. The Colossal Titan attempted to counter, grasping the massive beast with its enormous hands, but the power difference was insurmountable.
With a bone-crushing kick, Ex-Tyrant sent the Titan crashing into the remains of the city wall, leaving behind a massive crater.
Inside the Colossal Titan, its pilot panicked. "What the hell is this thing?! Where did it come from? If they had something this powerful, they wouldn't be hiding behind walls like scared rats... No, this—this isn't from our world...!"
His instincts screamed at him to flee.
Far in the distance, more Titans began pouring into the city. Seeing his opportunity, the Colossal Titan turned, attempting to escape.
But Ex-Tyrant had other plans.
With a piercing glare at the sky, it raised its arm, extending a long, spiked mace toward the space.
Then—something impossible happened.
It pulled.
Darkest's eyes widened in shock. "Oh... shit. Tyrant, you bad boy! Who the hell told you to do that?!" He moved very quickly to evacuate all citizens who were here to go to a safe place in a short time.
A shadow loomed over them.
"No way... You must be kidding me..."
The pilot inside the Colossal Titan watched in horror as an enormous meteor hurtled toward the battlefield.
With a single, devastating impact, the Despotic Hammer—Ex-Tyrant's ultimate attack—obliterated everything in its path. The city and army of Titan was wiped from existence, reduced to a wasteland of fire and dust. Only Ex-Tyrant stood tall, its monstrous form outlined by the rising sun.
"GRAAAAA!!!"
(Translation: "Master! As you instructed, I have eradicated the insects that dared to bother you. Am I a good boy?")
The surviving humans could only stare in shock.
"Our... city..."
"It's okay, Eren. The fact that we're even alive is a miracle..."
"Wait, how did we survive?!"
A man stepped forward, eyes burning with suspicion. "Who are you?"
Darkest casually dusted himself off. "Me? Name's Satria. I sent you all here."
"What?! That's impossible! No human can do something like that!"
Darkest shrugged, unfazed by their disbelief. "Believe what you want."
Carla Yeager, Eren's mother, stepped forward, her expression conflicted. "Your eyes… They tell me you're telling the truth. We owe you our lives."
"Save your thanks, lady," Darkest said, already turning away. "I was just passing through. We probably won't meet again. Bye."
With a spark of red lightning, he vanished, reappearing amidst the ruined remains of the city.
He sighed. "You... overgrown lizard." He held up the capsule. "Come back, Tyrant."
Ex-Tyrant roared one last time before shrinking back into its containment.
Darkest activated his dimensional portal gun, ready to leave.
"Ehm... My apologies? If that idiot was here, maybe he could fix this place up." He smirked. "Well, on the bright side… no more Colossal Titan problems for a while."
And with that, he disappeared into the void.
To be continued...
