What if, you become a servant in Chaldea?

Chapter 10: Side Story: The Fighting Between Two King!

Author: well I'm wanted to do the side story in the chapter 11 but I was suddenly strikes by a idea about how to balanced and about Up Charles Np.

If you're have complain, don't be shy just tell me straight because it's will help me improved.

Oh btw the idea I got is, merging his noble phantasm, Yeah I'm merging it because it's more fitting. Thinking that the servant in game also has one Np. Btw about the previous side story chapter I'm will remove it and change to something better. and I'll will change his Np and make the skills clearly explained in the prologue. Since I'm changing his ability a lot. I got this idea when I'm seeing someone comment! In the previous chapter.

Oh btw the function of the side story for me itself is a reminder of Charles ability and how he'd use it, because I'm thinking that better to save this as chapter.

But still I'm making a new Story within this side story so you're won't be bored reading this chapter. Well I'm not sure if this should statify you though but I'll try better.

Hmm and then maybe I'm should let you're know what his stat now look like.

Ah right the one we're fighting Artoria is not the Charles I that has became pseudo servant. But the real Charles I or you're should say that he was the one in the games in prologue, but since they're merging become one person maybe there's nothing different between them.

In the field of land grass, Battle simulation, Chaldea

In a vast field blanketed with soft, swaying grass, two figures stood opposite each other, their presences commanding the entire landscape.

The sky above was painted with hues of orange and gold as the setting sun cast long shadows across the terrain.

A gentle breeze whispered through the grass, carrying with it the weight of an unspoken conflict.

On the right, Artoria Pendragon, the legendary King of Britain and embodiment of chivalry, stood resolutely.

Her gleaming armor caught the sunlight, radiating a golden aura that seemed to highlight her regal stature.

She gripped Excalibur, her holy sword, firmly in her hand, its blade reflecting the unwavering determination in her piercing green eyes.

Though her stance was calm and composed, there was no mistaking the intensity of her gaze as she locked eyes with her opponent.

On the left stood Charles I, the youthful ruler whose mere presence seemed to challenge the authority of kings.

His appearance was strikingly incongruous—an elegant boy of only twelve years, yet his faint smile and relaxed posture exuded a confidence that seemed almost unnatural.

The light breeze ruffled his cloak, and the simple crown resting on his head glinted faintly. Despite his youthful appearance,

his gaze carried a depth of wisdom and ambition that belied his age.

He looks at Artoria finding his Seriousness amusing him. He let out a chuckle as he tilted his head.

"So serious yet so determined,"

he said, his tone light but with a hint of sincerity. He took a step back, his faint smile returning.

"Good, good—I like it! But don't be so tense,"

he added, his voice rising slightly in a mock chiding tone.

His expression shifted, becoming thoughtful, almost wistful, as he looked directly into her piercing emerald eyes.

"I know you're serious about your duty as a king—just like me. But before we're kings, we're human. Humans with dreams, with hopes... and flaws."

His words hung in the air for a moment, the sound of clashing steel pausing as he let them sink in.

"So don't let the burden of the throne take its toll on your mind,"

he continued, his voice steady but with an edge of vulnerability.

"Out here, on this battlefield, we're not standing as kings. Not as rivals locked in some grand political game."

His youthful energy remained, but it was tempered now by a wisdom that seemed almost at odds with his appearance.

"We're Servants,"

he said, his voice filled with conviction,

"fighting for our wishes, our glory, and the chance to make something of the lives we've already lived."

For a moment, the tension between them shifted, the weight of his words hanging in the air like the calm before a storm.

Then with a playful glint returning to his eyes, he twirled his Sword and resumed his stance.

"But hey, don't let that stop you from giving it your all,"

he added, his grin widening as he looked at the Artoria that seems calm a bit. But then he continues to talk.

"Because I certainly won't."

With that he raised his sword and pointing it's towards Artoria, He smile faintly and looked at Artoria that Raised her sword as ready to take any challenges.

"Let see if your resolves is great as they claim."

Artoria's grip on Excalibur tightened, her expression unchanging, resolute.

She raised her sword in response, the holy blade radiating its golden brilliance as if answering the challenge itself.

Her stance was firm, her aura that of a king prepared to face any trial.

No further words were exchanged. There was no need. The weight of their unspoken convictions spoke louder than any declaration could.

In unison, they surged forward, the distance between them closing in an instant.

The clash of their blades echoed through the grassy field, a spark of light bursting where Excalibur met Charles's sword.

Artoria's strikes were swift and precise, each swing of her blade imbued with the skill and discipline of a seasoned knight.

Charles countered with agility and creativity, his youthful energy blending seamlessly with his mastery over combat.

The battle between Artoria and Charles I raged on, a fierce and relentless clash of ideals and steel.

Their swords sang through the air, sparks flying with each strike as they tested each other's strength and resolve.

The air itself seemed to vibrate with the weight of their attacks.

Artoria's blade, Excalibur, moved with the grace and precision of a king trained in the art of war, each swing coming with the force of a storm, unrelenting and direct.

She was the epitome of a knight, her technique flawless and her resolve unwavering.

Charles, on the other hand, seemed to dance around her strikes, his youthful energy lending an unpredictability to his movements.

Though his form was less disciplined than hers, his adaptability and ingenuity made up for it, his every strike surprising in its creativity.

They were both kings, both warriors of incredible strength, and their clash reflected that. Artoria's focus was absolute, her eyes burning with the determination of a ruler who would not back down, no matter the odds.

But Charles—his grin never wavered, his eyes alight with excitement and challenge. He wasn't just fighting to win; he was fighting to prove something, to test himself against someone who embodied the very ideals he held dear.

"Your resolve is impressive, Artoria,"

Charles said, his voice carrying a hint of admiration.

"But you'll have to do better than that if you want to take me down."

Artoria's response was a wordless strike—Excalibur coming down with the force of a thunderclap. Charles blocked it with his own blade, but the power behind her attack forced him back a few paces.

He smiled, his eyes glinting as he quickly regained his stance.

"You're quite persistent,"

he said with a laugh.

"I like that."

But it was clear that their battle had reached its peak. Artoria's attacks were growing more forceful, her strength unwavering, while Charles, though unyielding, could feel his reserves of mana beginning to wane. The battle was beginning to take its toll, and they both knew that something decisive had to happen soon.

That was when Charles's expression shifted, a flicker of something more serious passing over his features. He raised his sword high, his gaze locking with Artoria's.

"It's time, then."

He let out a breath, his grip tightening on the hilt of his blade as he invoked the power within him.

"The Valor of Conquest!"

In an instant, the air around him seemed to shift, crackling with energy as his Noble Phantasm took form. His body glowed with a faint, ethereal light, and the strength that surged through him was palpable. With a fluid motion, he summoned a new weapon, a massive spear that seemed to resonate with power, a weapon built for the battlefield.

His eyes glowed with the power of clairvoyance, his senses sharpening as he read the movements of Artoria's blade before she even made them. He could feel his strength rising, the weight of the battlefield no longer an obstacle but a force to be channeled.

His allies—if they were present—would have felt it too, their resolve bolstered by the invisible aura that surrounded him. It wasn't just his own willpower that surged, but the shared resolve of everyone who fought alongside him.

(Author:I wanted to add troops to his noble phantasm, but I don't think that's necessary, I think with the Np he has now it's enough)

But even with this surge of power, he knew he couldn't afford to waste it. His mana reserves were already stretched thin, and this ability demanded careful control. Still, he pushed forward, his eyes flickering with determination as he met Artoria's gaze.

Artoria, sensing the change in the air, braced herself. Her sword, Excalibur. blazed with radiant light as she summoned the full extent of her strength, ready to face whatever Charles would bring.

She was no stranger to the demands of battle, and with the weight of her kingdom's legacy on her shoulders, she stood firm.

"Let's finish this,"

she said, her voice unwavering.

With a battle cry, Artoria surged forward, Excalibur raised high, the air around her crackling with divine energy. Charles, now fully immersed in the power of his Noble Phantasm, reacted in an instant.

He predicted the angle of her attack with his clairvoyance, moving his spear to intercept. The two weapons collided with a deafening crash, the force of the impact sending shockwaves through the ground beneath them.

For a moment, time seemed to slow. Charles's spear was a blur of motion as he twisted and turned, using his newfound strength and his mastery over all weapons to adapt to Artoria's relentless assault. He wasn't just defending, he was weaving his attacks around hers, countering and predicting her every move.

But Artoria wasn't going to give up so easily. She pressed forward with the full weight of her resolve, her body and spirit united as one, determined to defeat her opponent.

With a mighty roar, she brought Excalibur down in a final, decisive strike.

Charles, his face now serious and focused, read the attack perfectly.

He sidestepped just as the sword came crashing down, his spear piercing through the air in a single fluid motion. With the strength of his Valor of Conquest, he met Artoria's blow, their weapons clashing once more.

There was a moment of silence—just a heartbeat—and then the clash of steel rang out across the field, the impact reverberating through the ground.

The light from their blades flickered, the air humming with the force of their powers, before both weapons were locked in a stalemate.

And then, in a final, almost fluid motion, Charles used the remaining strength from his Noble Phantasm to push back against her, sending Artoria stumbling a few steps back. His spear gleamed in the fading sunlight, and with a triumphant, yet respectful smile, he lowered it.

"Well fought, Artoria,"

he said, his voice calm, but with a note of admiration.

"You've got spirit. I can see why they call you the King of Knights."

Artoria, breathing heavily from the intense duel, lowered Excalibur, her expression serious but respectful.

"Likewise, Charles. You're a worthy opponent."

And in that moment, the battle ended, neither victor nor defeated, but two kings who had tested their limits, understanding that their struggles were not for glory alone, but for something deeper—their resolve, their dreams, and the legacy they both carried within them.
