Wanda Maximoff Multiversal Harem Hunter

Chapter 60: The First Kiss

The sea roared as the tanker rocked against the waves, the storm's fury battering the ship from all sides. Rain lashed against the windows of their small cabin, and the dim, flickering light overhead swayed with the motion of the ship. Wanda sat on the edge of her bunk, her hands loosely folded in her lap, her crimson eyes glowing faintly in the darkened room.

"This is insane," Natasha muttered, leaning against the doorway, her arms crossed. She glanced at Wanda, smirking despite the chaos outside. "I thought you had a thing for flying, Maximoff. Boats aren't your style?"

Wanda raised an eyebrow, her lips curving into a faint smile. "If I recall, this was your idea."

Natasha shrugged. "True. But next time, remind me to requisition a plane."

The ship lurched violently, causing Natasha to stagger. Wanda's magic flared instinctively, steadying the small cabin as she reached out to keep Natasha from falling. "Careful there," Wanda said, her voice tinged with amusement. "We wouldn't want our fearless spy to lose her footing."

"Fearless?" Natasha grinned, regaining her balance. "That's generous coming from someone who flinched at a little thunder."

"I didn't flinch," Wanda replied, narrowing her eyes.

"Sure you didn't." Natasha's teasing tone was cut short as the ship gave another violent shudder. She stumbled forward, and before she could catch herself, she fell into Wanda, their bodies colliding.

For a moment, neither of them moved. Wanda looked up, her crimson eyes locking with Natasha's piercing green ones. Natasha's hands had instinctively landed on Wanda's shoulders, while Wanda's hands rested lightly on Natasha's waist. The storm outside seemed to fade, leaving only the sound of their breaths mingling in the confined space.

"Natasha…" Wanda began, her voice barely above a whisper.

Natasha didn't answer. Instead, she leaned in, closing the small distance between them. Their lips met, tentative at first but quickly deepening into something more. The kiss was electric, filled with the tension of months spent fighting side by side and the unspoken feelings that had grown between them.

Wanda's fingers curled slightly, gripping Natasha's waist as the kiss grew more passionate. Natasha's hand moved to cradle the back of Wanda's head, her fingers threading through soft auburn hair. The storm outside raged on, but in that moment, the world seemed to stop.

When they finally broke apart, they were both breathing heavily. Natasha took a small step back, her cheeks faintly flushed, though her usual smirk returned. "Well, that's one way to survive a storm."

Wanda laughed softly, shaking her head. "Only you could make a moment like that sound practical."

Natasha opened her mouth to respond, but Wanda interrupted her. "Since we're already this close, maybe you can show me some proper stances."

Natasha blinked, then burst out laughing, the tension in the room easing. "You're unbelievable, Maximoff."

"You say that like it's a bad thing," Wanda replied, her lips curving into a playful smile.

Natasha shook her head, stepping back and gesturing toward the small open area in the cabin. "Alright, come on then. Let's see what you've got."

The two spent the next hour practicing basic movements, their banter easy despite the storm. They didn't speak of the kiss, but the air between them had undeniably shifted. Both of them knew that from this moment forward, things would never be the same.

The tanker pulled into port under the cover of night, its massive hull groaning as it settled into place. The city skyline stretched out before them, the lights of New York shimmering like a promise of new beginnings.

Wanda and Natasha stood side by side on the deck, their bags slung over their shoulders. The storm had passed, leaving the air crisp and cool.

"Welcome to New York," Natasha said, her voice wry. "The city that never sleeps. Or so they say."

Wanda's gaze lingered on the cityscape, her expression thoughtful. "It's… different than I imagined."

"Different how?" Natasha asked.

"Louder," Wanda replied with a faint smile.

Natasha chuckled. "You get used to it. And if you don't, well, we won't be here long."

As they stepped off the ship and onto solid ground, Fracture's voice hummed in Wanda's mind. **"You're in the right place, Maximoff. Your path is becoming clearer. You should seek out Talia Ivory Stark. She will be important to your future. Not just because of her connection to the Ten Rings but to you as well."**

Wanda's brow furrowed. "Talia Stark?"

"Talking to your imaginary friend again?" Natasha asked, glancing at Wanda with an arched eyebrow.

"Something like that," Wanda replied. She hesitated for a moment, then added, "Fracture thinks we should find Talia Stark."

Natasha's expression shifted slightly, a flicker of recognition crossing her face. "Stark, huh? Can't say I'm surprised after what we saw in Afghanistan. But before we go Stark-hunting, there's someone else we need to see."

"Colonel Fury," Wanda guessed.

"Bingo," Natasha said. "He's not exactly the trusting type, but he'll want to know what's happening. And if we're lucky, he might actually help."

Wanda gave a small nod. "Then let's get moving. The sooner we handle this, the better."

Natasha fell into step beside her, her usual smirk firmly in place. "You know, Maximoff, for someone who started out as just an ally, you've turned out to be a pretty great partner."

Wanda glanced at her, her smile soft but genuine. "Same to you, Romanoff, but now we are even more."

Natasha let Wanda's statement hang in the air, but a faint smile hung on her lips a faint promise of things to come for both of them.

Fracture's voice chimed in Wanda's mind one last time, its tone amused. **"Oh, Maximoff. You have no idea how much your story is about to change. But don't worry—she'll be right there with you."**

Wanda shook her head slightly, brushing the thought aside as they stepped into the bustling streets of New York. This was just the beginning of her relationship with Natasha and perhaps others.
