Waiting For Your Reincarnation

Chapter 51

“I’ve lost communication with the center.” “What can we do?”

Ryu Won rolled the stone in his hand and stared into the distance for a moment.

If they didn’t get back to the center soon, Ryu Won wondered if they would be wanted like Idelia.

Ryu Won reached into his pocket and fumbled for something.

What he took out was the same stone.

“Today we will go to a hotel that is connected to the center.” “What? There’s a hotel?” “Yes. Even spirits need a place to rest.”

Ryu Won threw the stone lightly to the ground. Contrary to his fears, the stone responded with a straight red line.

The way to the hotel was clear.

The stone hadn’t gone to waste, but it had drawn a red line. Yeon-young stared at him in confusion.

Ryu Won squeezed her hand and stepped over the line, and another room opened up.

“Wow.” “Welcome. This is the Minato Hotel.” “Is this also a teleportation?” “Sort of, because as long as there’s a stone, it will lead you to the hotel no matter where you are.”

He couldn’t approve of Jaeho’s rotten ethics, but he admired his ability.

Yeon-young looked around the hotel. It was taller than the central building.

She lost count of the number of elevators on the ground floor, but there were at least six.

In the lobby of the hotel, several phantoms were gathered in groups, chatting.

What was unusual was the color of their clothes.

Yeon-young looked at their black uniforms and yellow ties.

The phantoms sitting in the break room were wearing different colors of the same design.

They were navy blue, gray, white, and other colors.

“Same design, different colors.” “Oh, that’s because they’re from different branches. They’re all employees of the center, and they’re color-coded according to which branch they’re from.”

Ryu Won walked across the lobby to the front desk.

At the reception desk was a neatly dressed woman with short blue hair.

She stood still, but her sweet face blended in with the atmosphere of the hotel.

When she saw Ryu Won, she couldn’t hide her joy and greeted him.

“Mr. Ryu Won, it’s been a long time! I see you’re here with a colleague today. Is everything okay up there?” “Not yet.” “There’s so much noise up here, it’s almost breathtaking, ah, before I get a room, I need to check…” “The room is fine; I’ll be back as soon as I get a comm.” “Then you’ll have to catch more.”

The woman blinked as if puzzled by Ryu Won’s comment about not getting a room and continued.

“The entrance to Tanato is blocked right now because of an inspection.” “An emergency inspection, I see.”

Yeon-young could deduce why the stone hadn’t moved.

Ryu Won tapped his fingers on the front desk and thought for a moment.

Quickly noticing their unusual reaction, she glanced at her computer screen.

“Yes, did I mention there’s a crack in the entrance… If you didn’t know, you should probably get a room now.” “We’ll take two, please.” “We only have one.”

The fingers on the keyboard quickened.

She glanced at the screen a few times; her eyebrows arched downward.

Apparently, there was only one room left.

Yeon-young looked at Ryu Won with wide eyes.

He couldn’t hide the upturned corners of his mouth as he looked at her with friendly eyes.

The woman watching covered her mouth with a hand.

“Ms. Yeon-young, what can we do, there’s only one room.” “Don’t worry, I’ll stay in the common room.” “You can’t do that. It’s dangerous here.”

There was a tone in the words.

She wondered if this hotel, where only the most powerful people gathered, was more dangerous than sharing a room with Ryu Won.

Ryu Won leaned in slightly and brushed a stray strand of hair from her ear.

“Let’s sleep together.” “Don’t say that it’s strange.” “What’s wrong with sleeping?”

He shrugged and pulled away.

Seeing Ryu Won’s smirk, Yeon-young decided that she should stay in the common room.

“If you’re uncomfortable, I can’t help it.” “I’ll stay in the break room.” “Will you leave me alone?”

Yeon-young looked at his smiling face again.

She didn’t know if it was because they had just gone through the whole Idelia thing together, but he didn’t look happy.

But he didn’t seem to have any intention of not sharing a room with her.

After staring into Ryu Won’s shadowy eyes, Yeon-young finally raised her white flag.

“Get a room.” “What did you say?” “Get a room, but don’t do anything else.” “What’s so dangerous about me at my age?”

Ryu Won laughed a relaxed, lazy laugh and patted Yeon-young’s forehead.

The woman, who had listened to the whole conversation, quickly pulled out a piece of paper from under her desk.

She pointed to the signature line and asked for a signature.

As Ryu Won grabbed a pen to write his name, someone appeared from behind and put an arm around his shoulder.

 “Hey, Han Ryu Won!”

She turned around in surprise to see a stocky middle-aged man in a white uniform standing there.

The middle-aged man was twice as tall and burly as Ryu Won. Although he wore a gentle smile, he still looked intimidating.

“You fool, when did you get out of probation?”

It seemed that the story of his parole had already spread far and wide.

The man, who had been laughing heartily, finally noticed Yeon-young standing there dumbfounded. He reached out his hand to shake hers.

“Huh? New girl? Hi, I’m Edelous… from Branch 5. Oops.” “Ms. Yeon-Young, please just fill in your name on the paperwork. I need to talk to him for a minute…” “Make yourself at home.”

Ryu Won casually stepped between them and blocked the man’s mouth with his ability.

The man’s eyebrows arched, but Ryu Won didn’t seem to mind and walked away.

A few muffled curses could be heard, but it seemed more friendly than harsh.

Yeon-young picked up the pen to finish what Ryu Won had asked her to do.

<Yeon-young Kim, Ryu Won Han>

Yeon-young wrote their names on the signature line at the bottom of the document and looked up.

She was so focused on signing that she didn’t notice the receptionist staring at her.

“Did you change your name when you came to Tanato as well?” “No?” “Oh! I see. I’m sorry, I thought you changed your name because it’s a Korean name.” “Why?” “Because it’s been really trendy for a few years now.” “Trendy?”

The receptionist covered her mouth with one hand and smiled, as if asking me to forgive her rudeness.

I looked at the woman’s name tag and saw that it said “Ryu Samo.

Ryu Samo. Yeon-young repeated the name several times in her mind.

Something about the name seemed wrong and she couldn’t bring herself to say it.

 “Pretty, huh?”

Samo put her hands on the desk and leaned her upper body towards Yeon-young.

“So how did you and Mr. Ryu Won meet?” “What?” “I’ve been talking to him every day for decades, so I’ve only just gotten to know him… but you and Mr. Ryu Won are so comfortable with each other.” “I don’t know how we can get along.”

Yeon-young scratched her cheek with her right hand, avoiding eye contact.

Samo leaned closer and gave her a suspicious look, as if to tell her not to lie.

She tapped her nametag several times and called out her name.

Unable to understand what she meant, Yeon-young tilted her head at an angle.

“Lie. You were friendly from the way you looked at him. We’re all members of the same club. Can’t you tell by my name?” “I’d like to think not.” “Ryu Samo, the Society for the Love of Ryu Won. I’m its legendary first president.”

Yeon-young stuck her fingers in and out of her ears, wondering if she had misheard the old-fashioned, childish abbreviation.

Samo’s eyes lit up like a child’s when she said Ryu Won’s name.

In contrast, Yeon-young’s face darkened, and she let out a small sigh.

The image of a sweet and beautiful woman was completely shattered.

“Isn’t the first batch of Ryu Won’s fan club the most active?” “I… is there really such a thing?” “Are you sure you’re not a member?”

Samo slowly backed away from Yeon-young and walked away.

She didn’t see the same passion in Yeon-young’s eyes.

Samo cleared her throat.

“How could you not, working right next to him?” “Hey, what kind of fad are you talking about?” “You haven’t been here long, have you?”

Yeon-young nodded her head slightly.

Obviously, news of her hadn’t reached the world below yet.

“Ryu Won, you changed his name to Korean.” “He changed his name?” “Yes! He just changed it out of the blue one day… It wasn’t that long ago.” “What was his original name?”Visit my Ko-fi for discounted advanced chapters!!
