Waifu Catalog: Multiverse Tinker

Chapter 5: Chapter 5

"What do you want to do now?"

"Hmmm, I need to buy some food and deliver it to Lordlake. Not only that, but I also need to call the company to find out if our plan will work."

"Why? For both of those."

"There is someone I want to stamp there. However, to do that, I need to get close to them, and giving them support in the form of clean water and food will be great."

"And you will make the prince have an easier time getting close to them when the time comes. Especially when they know you are supporting him."

"That is true. As for the second one, I need to ensure our plan does not conflict with the company's wants. Omniverse is a massive place, and my worry is unfunded, but there is nothing wrong with asking. Let's call them."

I take out my phone and call my manager. I put it on loudspeaker and wait. After a few seconds, Alicia picks up the phone.

"Good day, Kouha. What can I do for you?"

"I want to ask if you have something that lets me know which world I cannot visit because the company needs that world or something. The Omniverse is massive, and the chance of it is almost zero, but it is not zero. I don't want to cause more problems."

"That is true. It is not a problem. I am putting in a new alert system that lets you know if that world is a world the company wants to leave alone."

"Thank you for that."

"Anything else?"

"Yes. I wonder if I can heal the queen."

"Healing her, huh? Do you want to overlap her personality with the one that is sane or immune to the Sun Rune?"

"That's right."

With the power of Kaleidoscope, I can overlap something with their alternate version of themselves. What does this mean? That means I can replace the weakness of someone with their alternate self who does not have that weakness to remove that weakness.

I can remove the madness in the queen's mind and make her into the perfect queen that she is supposed to be.

Alicia stays silent for a few seconds before saying.

"The higher-ups allow you to do that as it will not do anything to the main timeline scenario. It is already too late to save the queen and her husband from their death scenario."

"Ah, I see. That is a shame."

"Is that all?"

"Nope. Thank you for answering."

"It is my duty, after all."

I look at Jeane and say.

"As you heard, we can do that. In three days, we will go there."

She nods and smiles a little.

"Do you need money to help them?"

"No. I have enough money."

I had already traded enough jewels that I mined in another world for food and medicine. I only need to deliver them to Lordlake.

"Very well. Good luck, and say hi to Talgeyl for me."

"Will do."

I leave the shop and walk to the dock once again. I can see a lot of sailors offering their boat service. I walk toward one of them, and the sailor greets me.

"Yo! Do you need a ride?"

"Yeah. I need to go to Lordlake."

"Lordlake, aye? Sure. I can do that. Five thousand Potch. We can depart now and arrive in Raftfleet before the sun goes down. We can continue tomorrow morning and arrive at the makeshift wharf we created before lunchtime. You can go Southeast from that and arrive in Lordlake before the sun goes down."

Raftfleet, huh? That is the name of a city. However, it is not just a regular city. It is a moving city that is made of boats but together. They move around the country, and it looks like it is anchored near Sol-Falena.

"Sure. Here is the payment."

"Great! Come on in! We will depart in ten minutes."

=== Line Break ===

|3rd POV|

Talgeyl looks at his hometown with sadness on his face. He regrets letting the others storm the East Palace and getting the disappearance of the Dawn Rune. From the bottom of his heart, he knows that his fellow citizens of Lordlake did not steal the rune, but he understands why the others, including the queen, blame Lordlake.

He can only see his hometown getting destroyed because of the queen's wrath, and the situation worsens because the curse of the Sun Rune evaporates in a matter of months. A massive lake disappears as the water disappears slowly.

It also gets worse when the Noble House Barrow manages to get permission from the senate to create a fortress that dams the river so no new water enters Lordlake to prevent the curse from getting worse.

That is not all. Monsters start to get closer to Lordlake because of the curse, and now they cannot travel to the north and take water from River Feitas because the monsters are waiting for them.

The only water source they can get is the dirty water puddle that the curse left behind. The result is as expected. People get sick, and Doctor Silva is overworked because of the number of patients she needs to care for.

Just like any other day, Talgeyl walks around the city. It has become a habit for him and something he doesn't plan on stopping. However, unlike the other day, this day is different. Someone runs toward him and says,

"Talgeyl! Someone is walking here."

"Huh?"

Instead of asking, he follows the young man and walks to the city's gate. Just like the young man said, he can see someone walking toward their city. As the person arrives in front of their city, Talgeyl says.

"Welcome to our city, miss."

"I am a man."

He ignores the people behind him whispering at that news and nods his head.

"I am sorry, sir. Welcome to our city, sir. Can I ask what you want to do in our city? As you can see, we don't have anything."

The man is Kouha, and he gives Talgeyl a small smile.

"And that is the reason why I came here."

He rubs his ring, and a second later, stacks of goods appear in front of him.

"I come here to sell these foods and medicine."

Talgeyl looks at the stacks of crates in front of him in shock for a few seconds before saying.

"How much for them?"

"Hmmm… I hear Doctor Silva is here. I wonder if she is willing to take a favor from me."

Talgeyl is about to say something, but a woman in her mid-fifties walks toward them.

"Depends on the favor."

"Silva!"

Silva raises her hand at Talgeyl and looks Kouha right in the eyes.

"I need your expertise. I need you to care for someone close to me without any questions. In return, I will provide Lordlake with water, food, and medicine every month for five months."

"Why five months?"

"Because of this."

Kouha shows her a stamp and says,

"This is an agreement stamp. The two of us will stamp each other and swear an oath. If we break that oath, the stamp will send a very painful magic. It will not kill you but will wound you permanently. The stamp can only stay for five months. If my friend does not arrive in five months, you are free to go."

Kouha looks at Silva and says.

"What do you think?"
