Chapter 8: Omake

A/n: This was in my mind and so, I decided to write about it. It turned out to be more than I originally expected. I felt that it should be seen, so here it is. THIS IS NOT CANON TO THE STORY, IT IS JUST FOR FUN. If you wish for me to make this a story, I'd think about it. I've started the next chapter of the official story so be on the lookout for it. And yes, I know, I should've worked on the chapter, but I can't work with this idea in my mind. Will be moved to the auxiliary section, eventually, anyway. Peace.

He had dispatched another imp trying to kill a citizen of the Roble Holy Kingdom. It wasn't pleasant knowing there had been demons around vying for some reason. Despite that, he had managed to kill all those who attempted to attack the citizens. They were coming in packs now as if to test him.

He did feel like someone was spying on him, yet he knew they weren't seeing much. It was due to his moon necklace, it hid any information of his. As such, it blocked any attempt to peak in his direction. He slashed toward his shadow and a being appeared. They were small, fully black with white eyes and no pupils.

The demon fell and disappeared as it died, another one, the man thought. He knew something big was happening, but he was prepared. His full power hadn't been released at all, and so he had his ultimate trump card. After making sure there were no more demons, he headed toward the palace.

It had been a few years since Calca Bessarez had been crowned Holy Queen. The first years were a difficult time for her, yet she persevered through it all. Support from the then Paladin Grandmaster, Arata Hiroyuki had helped. Along with the previous High Priestess, those two helped her immensely.

It was a peaceful time despite what happened over the years. Due to the help of the former Paladin Grandmaster, Arata Hiroyuki. The Demi-Human attacks weren't as feared as much. They were repelled, even if, as the years went on, the attacks grew aggressive. Reaching the front of the Palace, the two guards had let him in.

He entered and was greeted by the scene of Kelart berating both, the Holy Queen and her sister, the current Paladin Grandmaster, Remedios. They all turned to look at Arata when he walked in. Arata deadpanned as they looked at him like headless chickens. He sighed before speaking.

"I don't know what you're reprimanding them for. I imagine it's not as important as what I'm about to say. Another group of demons was found again inside the city, I killed them, and luckily, no casualties. I believe that the demon that appeared in Re-Estize is planning to attack us. I must ask that you get the military up and running. As well, get help from the Southern part as they can be in danger too."

The three girls hearing this knew it was important, immediately stopping their squabble. Remedios held a look of irritation and anger while the other two had a more restrained reaction. All of them heard what happened in the Re-Estize capital, the Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth.

They were saved by the Adamantite Class Adventurer Momon of Darkness. Momon managed to drive off the Demon but didn't kill it. In the end, the Demon had escaped and was nowhere to be seen. As the demon activity continued, it looked like there was going to be an attack.

Arata had a few ideas, the Sorcerer Kingdom had been established not too long ago. There was an obvious correlation between events happening. It seemed all too planned and it was like a farce. He held these thoughts to himself as not much evidence was available. A person opened the door urgently, it was a guard.

They kneeled and spoke out loud to them all. "An attack of grand scale has just blown through a section of the Great Wall!" Arata felt this was what he expected and headed his way to the Great Wall. "I'll meet you all there! Your Holy Majesty, you must get the Southern Nobles to agree to help us. It is prevalent that they help!"

Arata had left immediately for the Great Wall, the rest began their preparations. Calca knew he was right and ordered for a messenger to be sent South. Remedios went to gather the Paladin force while Kelart went, along with Calca, to the Nobles of the North. Arata's words resonated in the heads of all three of them.

It would be foolish not to listen to the Former Paladin Grandmaster.

He had arrived at the Great Wall, a part was destroyed. A spell of untold destruction had happened and the Demi-Humans were rushing in. Arata stepped in and dispatched many of the Demi-Humans, they didn't stand a chance. Slowly, the Demi-Humans were being pushed back.

He felt a powerful force nearby and directed the garrison to hold off the army. Arata knew they could as reinforcements were on their way to help. He sprinted toward the powerful force, he saw a thing in a suit. They had a mask and a metal tail, and their pointy ears showed they weren't human. Arata pulled out his sword and pointed against his foe.

The thing in the suit spoke, "My my, so you're the one I've heard a lot about. The Former Paladin Grandmaster and the one who has killed my demons. I must say, I am quite surprised you've managed to find them."

"They weren't exactly being subtle as it was obvious to me. Why send them? You certainly didn't need to do that as you have a force of Demi-Humans."

"It doesn't concern you, you fool. It will be my utmost pleasure to end your insect life. For rejoice, I am the Demon Emperor, Jaldabaoth!" Jaldabaoth grew claws and went in for a slash, hoping to end it. It was parried and a slash headed toward his torso, he had just barely managed to block it. Jaldabaoth disengaged and looked on, while Arata was in a stance.

"I seem to have underestimated you, Former Paladin Grandmaster. Perhaps, you are more than just an insect after all. It matters not, you will die today."

"Enough with that title and empty threats, I'd prefer Arata. And as if you'd kill me, you don't seem to be the fighter type. You will lose if you continue to face me on ahead. Though, I must ask this, do you serve the Sorcerer King?"

Jaldabaoth paused and didn't say anything. This was all that Arata needed to confirm his suspicions, he didn't like the implications. He made a decision, Jaldabaoth would die today and make sure he couldn't be revived. It was a long time since he called out his Noble Phantasm, but it held Divine properties.

He was a demon, it was only natural that he would be killed forever. He reached for his necklace and called out its barrier. "Barrier of Amaterasu, hold them down and let them not leave." A barrier appeared before them, encasing the two.

He felt people trying to teleport in but were redirected outside. He spotted a few amount of people, most notably, a skeleton mage. Not just a normal one though, perhaps, the pinnacle of Undead. It mattered not, nothing but a God could break through this. Jaldabaoth's death was inevitable and the person himself was shocked.

"I must say, the Sorcerer King coming was a surprise. However, your lack of response confirmed my suspicions. It was all too much of a coincidence for things to happen." The barrier shook, yet it was not broken in the slightest. He saw many magical symbols coming from the Sorcerer King. An armored person kept trying to break it down, others as well.

Jaldabaoth went in for an attack, trying to buy time. It was useless, Arata parried the attack and sent him to the wall of the barrier. The attack made him slump against the wall, behind him was the Sorcerer King. They could only watch in horror, although there wasn't an expression on their face.

Arata's hand hovered over his sword and slowly went from his sword guard to the tip. Lightning began to appear over the sword and his hand. All that were watching knew this was going to be a huge attack. The ones outside tried more desperately but couldn't break the barrier.

Jaldabaoth looked on in horror as Arata began chanting his Noble Phantasm. Despite not being the true Noble Phantasm, it was still a powerful NP and it would do the job. He chanted as they all looked in horror. Jaldabaoth would be dying and they were all powerless to do anything.

"I reach the apex of swordsmanship, the truest form of my skill. It will cut through the reality and strike true, for nothing can block… Tsurugi Yamato (False)!"

In an instant, no, it already happened and Jaldabaoth was no more. They had died and it wasn't possible to revive them. The barrier fell and the shockwave had sent the others away. Arata knew he was going to fight again and so, he held his necklace tightly. Ready to break it and unleash his true power, it surprised him.

He liked this Kingdom and didn't expect to be willing to do this, he hadn't expected to be attached. His thoughts were broken as spells were headed toward him. He cut through them, his sword still had the lightning from before. In the midst, an attack was headed toward and he knew he had to block it.

The two weapons strained against each other, not one giving out. Arata knew this was a Divine Weapon of sorts, the aura showed it was, and wouldn't take them lightly as he did with Jaldabaoth. He pushed them away back to the Sorcerer King and backed away a bit. Arata then spoke out to them.

Ainz Ooal Gown had a surprisingly normal day for his standards. Despite that feeling, he felt something terrible was going to happen. He chalked it up to his nerves and had set the feeling aside. Demiurge had asked for his permission to begin his plan in the Roble Holy Kingdom. It was risky, he thought, for one, their shadow demons and imps were being killed.

The imps had made sense as they weren't known for their stealth. It was the shadow demons being killed that brought attention to him. They were made for stealth and only someone who was perceptible could see them. Two, the Former Paladin Grandmaster, Arata Hiroyuki was held as a person of incredible power.

He was considered Humanity's greatest warrior, better than Gazef or those from the Theocracy. Ainz felt this was a Player, yet everything they gathered didn't point to that. More observations proved that they weren't and Ainz felt relief but not at the same time. With this in mind, he granted permission to Demiurge and he began his plan.

If captured, Arata would prove a boon as they could learn much from him. The day of Demiurge's plan came and he acted. Ainz felt that strange feeling come back as he watched on from his scying mirror. Demiurge uses a 9th tier spell which destroyed the entrance. He ordered the Demi-Human army to advance and everything went to plan.

Until it didn't, someone had arrived, Arata Hiroyuki. It was quite astounding how he managed to arrive, they knew he was in the capital, and yet. Here he was, killing Demi-Humans until the army was pushed back. He left the garrison to handle the rest as Arata went off to Demiurge. That feeling once again appeared as he watched on.

Demiurge spoke to Arata before growing claws and going in for an attack. Ainz thought this was going to be the end, yet Arata parried it and counterattacked. Demiurge was barely able to block before disengaging, this alarmed Ainz. He knew Demiurge wasn't a physical fighter, yet, he was a level 100 NPC.

It didn't matter if Arata was a physical fighter, Demiurge should've overpowered him. Demiurge spoke again, saying he underestimated Arata before stating they would die today. Arata then spoke, stopping Jaldabaoth and surprising Ainz immensely. He asked if Jaldabaoth served the Sorcerer King, and Ainz's went into overdrive.

The emotion dampener of his had activated and he thought logically. Arata knew more than he let on, this was a bad idea from the start. It was most definitely that Arata was a player, just like him. He feared the worst and tried to teleport to Demiurge. He brought along Albedo and the other Guardians.

When he was thinking to himself, he hadn't been paying attention. Arata had erected a barrier in the midst of Demiurge's shock. The barrier redirected Ainz and his Guardians outside of the barrier. This was terrible, the worst kind of scenario was unfolding. He, along with the others, tried to break the barrier.

It was to no avail as it wasn't even dented and they could only watch on. Arata began speaking but Ainz tuned him out until something shocked him. Arata was going to kill Demiurge, Ainz immediately began casting a Super Tier spell as everyone became desperate to break the barrier.

Demiurge tried to buy time for himself and yet was launched against the barrier. He was in front of Ainz, yet Ainz couldn't do anything. He watched as Arata began chanting, the area started shaking as he spoke. In the end, he called out his attack and instantly, no, it happened already, and Demiurge was no more.

Everyone stood in silence then it dawned on Ainz, that a child of his friends was dead. All the while, he hadn't been able to do anything to save them. He had become rage incarnate and saw that barrier opened. He cast every spell he could to end Demiurge's killer. Yet, they were all blocked and Albedo went in for an attack.

Arata parried it and launched her back to where Ainz was. He spoke chillingly to them as they looked at him with rage and anger. "You may feel that you've been wronged, that he didn't deserve to die. Yet, that is all bullshit, he did deserve to die. The countless lives he took won't ever come back and the lives he ruined won't return to normal."

A lightning aura appeared around Arata as he continued to speak.

"I'm a Heroic Spirit first and foremost, it is my duty to defeat evil. You all are evil and deserve to die. I believe in my conviction, for I am Arata Hiroyuki, Vice Commander of the Shinsengumi! I willingly become evil to defeat evil," he broke his necklace and everything went white.

Arata's form changed, it was eldritch-like. Yet, it held demonic features, and all around were lightning bolts. His sword had gained a blue color to it and radiated sparks. He spoke out to them, "I am what I destroy, and for that reason, I atone by destroying which I have become. In the end, nothing is left, for that is the price of… Tsurugi Yamato (True)!"

Reality broke and all of them had been killed, for it already happened. The Guild base was destroyed when the last player of the Guild was killed. For there is no more Nazarick in the New World, Arata felt himself disappearing. It was a fun summon for how long it lasted. He saw the people he grew to care about in this life, he was saddened.

His form changed back to normal, yet yellow particles surrounded him. Calca and her reinforcements had arrived, and Calca saw Arata. She ran to him before stopping as she looked at his condition. Arata had explained he was a Spirit of sorts, and if there were yellow particles like those right now, he would disappear.

Calca didn't know what to say as she felt tears start to spill out, she knew him since she was born. Even if she wasn't conscious during her early years, Arata told her. "It was a fun time here, Calca. My time has come, I feel that my purpose has been accomplished and I have no need to remain. I am sorry I'm leaving like this, yet, I feel like I should do this."

He pulled out his sword and scabbard and held it out. "It's yours now, for the Roble Holy Kingdom to be exact, it's sentient so it'll explain itself. Just hold it and you'll understand, it was nice to be here. Try summoning me, and I'll answer, until next time."

He smiled and disappeared back to the Throne of Heroes.
