Chapter 870 You're Hard?

Villain Ch 870. You're Hard?

Once Mark returned to his workout, Sophia glanced back at Allen. He was still sitting on the bench, visibly agitated and clearly waiting for Gerry. She felt a surge of confidence. Her plan was working, and she was determined to keep the momentum going.

Sophia walked over to a treadmill, deciding to keep herself busy while waiting for Mark. She set a brisk pace, using the time to reflect on her next move. She needed to keep Allen off-balance, but she also didn't want to come across as too desperate to Mark.

Gerry walked back into the gym hall with quick strides, spotting Allen sitting on the bench with a tense expression. He approached Allen, apologizing immediately. "Sorry for making you wait so long, man."

Allen looked up, giving Gerry a wry smile. "It's fine. Glad you're back."

Gerry frowned, noticing the unusual scene. "Are you finished?" he asked, seeing that Allen hadn't continued his workout.

Allen shook his head. "Not yet. I was waiting for you."

Gerry raised an eyebrow. "Why? That's not like you."

Allen's smile turned into a grimace. "I'll put the blame on what you said before."

Gerry looked puzzled. "What? What did I say?"

Allen repeated Gerry's earlier words, his voice tinged with annoyance. "'Like beat Larissa's booty size?' That thing. Your words triggered some pretty distracting fantasies in my mind."

Gerry's eyes widened in realization, then softened with sympathy. "Oh, man. I didn't mean to mess with your head like that."

Allen shook his head, his frustration evident. "And Sophia over there was moaning like she was in the middle of a porn shoot. At least half the gym could hear her. It was super annoying."

He glanced over at Sophia, who was now on the treadmill, seemingly oblivious to the disturbance she had caused. Gerry followed his gaze, his expression turning serious. "Yeah, she's really laying it on thick today. Trying to get under your skin?"

"Definitely," Allen muttered, running a hand through his hair. "And it's working. I couldn't focus at all. Every time I tried to concentrate on my set, those thoughts about Larissa kept creeping in, and Sophia's theatrics only made it worse."

Gerry held back his laughter as he sat down beside Allen, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "So you mean... You're hard?" he asked, his voice low but teasing.

Allen pressed his lips together, trying to suppress his annoyance. He took a deep breath, feeling the frustration bubble inside him, and then, with a heavy heart, he admitted, "Kind of."

Gerry's grin widened, but he didn't push further, sensing Allen's discomfort. Allen, meanwhile, was wrestling with his thoughts. The intrusive fantasies about Larissa had been relentless, and the tension in his body was undeniable. He couldn't help but think about paying a visit to Larissa's apartment after this. The idea had been simmering in his mind, growing more tempting with each passing minute.

But he knew he needed to finish his workout first. He didn't want to seem desperate or like he was jumping to her place in a frenzy of lust. He wanted to calm himself, to regain some sense of control before he acted. The last thing he wanted was to show up at Larissa's door acting like a crazy, thirsty boyfriend.

"Let's continue." Allen stood up and picked up the dumbbells again, focusing on the weight in his hands, the strain in his muscles. He began his curls with determined precision, trying to channel his frustration and desire into physical exertion. It was an attempt to reclaim his focus, to drown out the chaotic thoughts that had been plaguing him.

Gerry, sensing the shift in Allen's demeanor, decided to offer some genuine support. "Look, man, I didn't mean to mess with your head. But are you sure you can carry on?"

Allen shot him a flat stare, the kind of look that clearly said, "Really?" without needing words. His eyes bore into Gerry's, conveying his annoyance and frustration.

Gerry raised both hands in mock surrender, a sheepish grin on his face. "Okay, I get it," he said, standing up from the bench. "Just making sure you can concentrate."

Allen sighed, feeling a mixture of exasperation and gratitude for his friend's concern. "Just keep my mind busy and keep talking," he said, picking up the dumbbells again and resuming his reps. The familiar rhythm of lifting and lowering the weights was comforting. Explore more adventures at My Virtual Library Empire

Gerry nodded, understanding what Allen needed. "Alright, let's talk about something else. Did you hear about that new restaurant opening downtown? They're supposed to have the best steaks in the city."

Allen grunted in response, focusing on his form but grateful for the distraction. "No, I hadn't heard. What's the place called?"

"Prime Cut," Gerry said, leaning against a nearby bench. "I read a review that said their filet mignon is to die for. We should check it out sometime."

"Sounds good," Allen replied, finishing his set and setting the weights down. He took a deep breath, feeling a bit more grounded. "I could use a good meal after this week."

Gerry chuckled. "Yeah, you've been hitting it hard lately. Maybe we can go this weekend. You, me, and whoever else wants to join."

Allen nodded, appreciating the effort Gerry was making to keep his mind occupied. "Sounds like a plan. Maybe we can get the whole gang together."

They moved to the next station, and Allen began his tricep extensions, feeling the familiar burn in his muscles. Gerry kept the conversation flowing, talking about everything from their favorite sports teams to the latest movies.

Sophia noticed the shift in Allen's demeanor from across the gym. His body language, the way he interacted with Gerry, and the moments he paused between sets all hinted at a struggle to maintain focus. She could see the signs of discomfort in the way he furrowed his brow and the slight tension in his shoulders.

A nasty smile curled at the corners of her lips. 'Yes... this is definitely working,' she thought, feeling a sense of triumph wash over her. She had set out to distract Allen, to make him jealous and uneasy, and it seemed her efforts were paying off. The satisfaction of seeing him so visibly affected by her actions was almost intoxicating.
