The Nine Celestial Sovereigns went and greeted the emperor, congratulating him on his birthday.

Meanwhile, the crowd left their seats and went to the ground. The stage had already been taken away and the empty ground was used for the socializing event.

Everyone had something to eat or drink in their hands as they went up to different individuals to strike up a conversation.

The four sacred clans' heads each went up to the emperor to greet him personally and converse with him.

Meanwhile, In the first prince's gallery, the first prince was sitting while facing the second prince and the third princess.

They both had come to his gallery to talk with him.

Xue Nanxi stood behind the third princess, looking for an opportunity to touch the first or second prince.

"Elder Brother, we need to do something about the ninth brother. He is too big of a danger to ignore." The second prince spoke with a grim expression.

The third princess nodded in agreement: "Second elder brother is correct. We need to eliminate him if we want to save our face. He is an unprecedented genius and if he is left alone, I can't even imagine what the consequences we'll have to face."

The second prince added: "Indeed, Ruoyan is speaking the truth. Elder brother, just think how we will appear in history books if he's allowed to live and reach his potential."

"He has the legendary spirit of the Eternal Great Sovereign and his cultivation speed is even faster than the sovereign. We will appear trash compared to him if he surpasses us in just a few more decades."

"Just think about it. In the history books, he'll appear as a legend whereas we will become third-rate stepping stones, laughed at for eternity by the future generations. We can't take him lightly."

The first prince acted to think. He appeared calm on the outside as he listened to his little siblings' worries, however, his inner feelings were quite the opposite.

He was in the most urgency to eliminate Ashen.

Being the most likely to become the next emperor, he couldn't let someone snatch the throne away.

He understood how dangerous Ashen was better than anyone else.

He even found the third princess a bit foolish to worry about Ashen. She was acting as if she'd become the empress if Ashen was to be eliminated. He could only laugh at her internally.

After a bit of fake contemplation, the first prince nodded in agreement and spoke:

"You both are correct in your worries. We shouldn't fight amongst ourselves anymore. This is the time to unite against a greater foe. Even if one of us were to ascend the throne, our reputations would remain intact. However, if our Ninth Little Brother were to succeed, we would be ridiculed for eternity."

His eyes reflected determination as he spoke: "I can't let that happen!"

A satisfied and relaxed smile appeared on both the second and third siblings' faces upon hearing the first prince's words.

Only after uniting together could they have Ashen assassinated while he was being protected in the Shang Clan.

"But how are we going to get him killed? We need atleast a king realm spy to attack him." The third princess expressed her worries.

"You don't have to worry about that," The first prince shook his head and spoke with a scheming smile: "I'll come up with a plan and share it with you. You both just have to follow the plan and I guarantee that he'll die within the next five years."

The second prince and third princess nodded in understanding: "We understand Elder brother."

The second prince spoke further: "Let's call a truce until he is killed."

"Alright." The first prince nodded.

Saying that, they both stood up from their seat, beginning to leave. They had completely ignored the third princess since she wasn't even a threat.

Her agreement didn't matter to them.

"Wait!!" Xue Nanxi screamed, prompting both princes to turn toward her in astonishment.

"H-How can you show the third royal highness such disrespect? She has the support of the Xue clan, are you even looking down on the Xue clan?"

She had grown anxious seeing the both princes leaving like that. She hadn't managed to touch them and this was once in a lifetime chance to do that. She couldn't just let them leave like that.

In an attempt to make them stop, she spoke whatever came to her mind.

She knew that being the princess of the Xue clan, even if she was in the wrong right now, she wouldn't lose her life, however, if she didn't touch them and they were indeed the person she was looking for, then she'd lose her life for sure.

She just had to take this risk to criticize the princes for their behavior towards the princess.

"And who are you to ask us questions?" The first prince narrowed his eyes threateningly.

He was seeing her for the first time and didn't recognize her.

She was too beautiful to be a maid and he had wondered about her identity when she accompanied the third princess.

This was a perfect opportunity to ask her identity.

"I-I'm the youngest princess of the Xue Clan, Xue Nanxi!"

She was a bit scared right now since she was only at the body transformation realm and the first prince was a king realm expert.

If he decided to ignore her identity, she wouldn't be able to leave unscathed.

"Ah, So you are Lady Xue Nanxi..." A smile appeared on the first prince's face as he realized.

However, Nanxi didn't have any interest in his sweet words as she looked at the screen for the message, however, nothing appeared despite being in touch with him, indicating that he wasn't the person she was looking for.

Similar was the reaction of the Second prince: "Forgive me for not recognizing you, lady Nanxi"

They didn't want to ruin their relationship with her since if they became the emperor in the future, they'd have to marry her.

Also, since she was the granddaughter of the Ice-Empress, there would be no benefit in offending her.

The first prince stepped forward and apologized: "Forgive me, Lady Nanxi."

He held her hand between his and gazed into her eyes: "Is there a way to make it up to you?"

However, Nanxi didn't have any interest in his sweet words as she looked at the screen for the message, however, nothing appeared despite being in touch with him, indicating that he wasn't the person she was looking for.

To get away from the first prince, she immediately said: "You don't have to apologize to me. Please apologize to the third Royal Highness. She must've been hurt by your behavior, your highness"

"As you wish." The first prince smiled and shifted his gaze to the third princess: "Forgive me, little sister. I've been rude to you"

"I-It's alright." The princess was a bit astonished to see Nanxi stand up for her. She thought that Nanxi didn't like her since she had been acting rudely towards her.

The first nodded and turned around, leaving the gallery to interact with other guests of the event.
