VERSATILE MAGE: RISE OF A LEGEND

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Preparation for Awakening

A week had passed since Old Man Ying's passing, and the family was slowly finding their way back to normalcy. The grief still lingered, but life continued, bringing with it new challenges and opportunities. The grief weighed heavily on Light's heart. However, the sorrow only fueled his determination. Now, his focus had shifted to a new and exciting chapter in his life: his awakening. Today, he would discuss his awakening plans with his sisters and Ye XinXia, an essential step in his journey.

The morning sun cast a warm glow across the living room as Light gathered with Su Hongxiu., Su Xuanhua, Athena, and Ye XinXia. The air was thick with anticipation; everyone sensed the importance of this conversation. Light knew this was one of the most critical moments of his life.

Athena, home on holiday from Imperial College, initiated the discussion. "Light, we've been thinking a lot about your awakening. Given its significance, we believe you should consider the best possible place."

Su Hongxiu nodded in agreement. "The Oriental Pearl Tower has always served us well. It offers excellent resources and guidance. Why not follow in our footsteps and awaken there?"

Su Xuanhua chimed in, her voice gentle yet supportive. "It's a great place, Light. We all had our awakenings there, and it turned out well for us."

Athena added, "The Oriental Pearl Tower is the best in our country. It's familiar to us, and it's known for its successful awakenings. But we understand you might have different plans."

Light listened carefully, appreciating their concern and support. He knew they had his best interests at heart. However, he had already made up his mind. He took a deep breath before speaking. "I've decided to awaken at the Asia Magic Association. "I appreciate your suggestions, and I know the Oriental Pearl Tower has been great for all of you. Our sister-in-law, Anahita, has connections there, and they have the best resources available. My first awakening is ambitious, and I want the best of the best." I believe this is the right path for me."

Ye XinXia, who had been quietly listening, spoke up, her voice soft but filled with understanding. "Big brother, we all want what's best for you. The Oriental Pearl Tower has been great for us, but if the Asia Magic Association offers better resources for your specific needs, then it makes sense."

Athena frowned slightly, her protective instincts kicking in. "The Oriental Pearl Tower does have good resources, Light. Are you sure the Asia Magic Association is necessary?"

Light nodded firmly. "I understand your concerns, but the Asia Magic Association has resources that are unmatched. Anahita has assured me that I will receive the best quality awakening resources and guided awakening there. It's an opportunity I can't pass up."

Light took a deep breath, ready to explain."You all know I want to awaken dimensional magic, specifically the space element. The resources here and at the Pearl Tower aren't as advanced in that field. The Asia Magic Association specializes in this kind of magic and can provide what I need."

Understanding dawned on their faces. Su Hongxiu sighed but smiled supportively. "We understand, Light. Your ambition deserves the best possible start. If the Asia Magic Association can provide that, then we support you."

Su Xuanhua added, "We're behind you 100%, Light. Whatever you need, we're here."

Athena smiled warmly. "You're right, Light. The space element is rare and requires specialized resources. If the Asia Magic Association can offer the best support, then that's where you should go."

Light felt a wave of gratitude. "Thank you. Your support means everything to me."

Ye XinXia reached out and squeezed Light's hand. "We believe in you, Big brother. You have our full support."

With the decision agreed upon, his sisters went about their daily activities. Light took the opportunity to call Anahita. He walked to his room, closed the door, and dialed her number.

The phone rang twice before a cheerful voice answered. "Light! How are you, my beloved brother?"

Light smiled; her voice always brought him comfort. "I'm good, sis. I need to talk to you about my awakening."

"Of course! I've been waiting for this day. What do you need?" Anahita asked eagerly.

Light explained his desire to awaken at the Asia Magic Association and his sisters' initial suggestions. Anahita listened carefully, her voice filled with enthusiasm as she responded.

Anahita's excitement was palpable even through the phone. "That's wonderful news, Light. The Asia Magic Association has the best resources, and with my connections, I can ensure you get the best possible guidance. You'll have a successful awakening, I promise."When do you want to start the process?"

"Whenever it's convenient for you," Light answered. "I'm ready to leave as soon as possible."

"How about you come to Persia first?" Anahita suggested. "We can finalize the arrangements here before heading to Dubai. That way, you can also get to know the people who will be helping you."

"That sounds perfect," Light agreed. Light felt a wave of relief. "Thank you, Sis. I knew I could count on you."

"It's my pleasure, Light," Anahita said warmly. "I'll make sure everything is prepared. Just let me know when you'll be arriving."

With the arrangements in place, Light knew he had one more important call to make. Next, Light called his stepmother, Hera, who lived in Greece. He dialed Hera's number, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness.

Hera answered after a few rings, her voice as soothing and graceful as ever. She answered, "Light, my dear. How are you?"

"Hello, Mother. I'm good. I wanted to talk to you about my awakening," Light began.

Hera listened intently as he explained his plans. "I'm planning to awaken at the Asia Magic Association with Anahita's help. She has connections there, and they will provide the best resources."

Hera's voice softened with pride and a touch of concern. "That sounds like a well-thought-out plan, Light. But have you considered the Parthenon Temple? We have excellent resources here too, and I, along with your aunt Hestia, would be there to support you."

Light appreciated the offer but remained firm in his decision. "I have, but I believe the Asia Magic Association is the best choice for me. I've already talked to Anahita, and she will arrange everything."

Hera sighed but smiled. "I understand. If that's what you believe is best, I support you. I'll come with your Aunt Hestia to Persia to give you our blessing before you head to Dubai."

Light felt a surge of gratitude. "Thank you, Mother. Your support means everything to me."

After the calls, Light felt a sense of calm. His family's support was unwavering, and he was more determined than ever. That evening, he visited Old Man Ying's grave, a small bouquet of flowers in hand. The air was cool, and the setting sun bathed the mountains in a warm glow.

Kneeling beside the grave, Light placed the flowers gently. "Old Man Ying, I'm going for my awakening. I promise to honor your teachings and fulfill your dream of totem beasts being known and accepted."

The little loach pendant around his neck vibrated gently, a comforting presence. Light smiled, feeling the connection to his lifetime vessel, his luck bringer.

Just then, the pendant began to vibrate more intensely. Light looked down, surprised. He held it in his hand, feeling its energy pulsing. It was as if the pendant was reacting to his words, acknowledging his promise.

As he stood, his sisters approached, having heard about his visit. They joined him by the grave, each placing a flower in memory of the old man who had meant so much to their brother.

Light felt a surge of determination. With his family by his side, he knew he could face any challenge. They stood in silence for a moment, paying their respects to Old Man Ying, before making their way back home.

The preparations for the journey to Persia began in earnest. Light's parents, though initially hesitant, were supportive. They understood the significance of this journey and wanted everything to be perfect for their son.

Light packed his bags, excitement and nerves mingling within him. This was the start of a new chapter in his life, one that would shape his future as a magician. With his family's support and the teachings of Old Man Ying guiding him, he felt ready to take on the world.

As dawn broke, Light and his family gathered in the living room. The air was thick with emotion. Su Hongxiu, Su Xuanhua, Athena, and Ye XinXia hugged him tightly, their eyes filled with pride and love.

"Take care of yourself, Light," Su Hongxiu said, her voice soft but firm.

Su Xuanhua added, "Remember, we're always here for you."

Athena smiled through her tears. "Go make us proud, little brother."

Ye XinXia, her quiet strength shining through, simply said, "Good luck."

Light's parents embraced him, their support unwavering. "We're so proud of you, Light. Go and show the world what you're made of," his father,Sun Jiexi said.

His mother, Mei Maya added, "You have our blessings. Be strong and stay true to yourself."

With a final round of hugs and well-wishes, Light prepared to depart. His sisters—Su Hongxiu, Su Xuanhua, and Athena—were set to accompany him to Persia, while Ye XinXia would stay behind.

With a final wave, Light boarded the plane with his sisters, feeling a mix of excitement and anticipation. As the plane soared into the sky, he looked out the window, the little loach pendant resting against his chest. This was his moment, his chance to honor Old Man Ying's legacy and forge his path in the magical world. And he would not fail.
