"Woah! That girl's actually pretty good huh?" Night muttered as he read the world announcement of Eve dealing the highest recorded damage in a single attack.

[Congratulations Player NotYourTypicalMage for acquiring the title of One shot sounds cool!]

"Wait what now?" he stopped as he looked at the new announcement with wide eyes.

[Congratulations Player NotYourTypicalMage for acquiring the title of One shot sounds cool. Do you wish to hide your name in the world announcement?]

"No..." Nate replied in a fazed manner, it was as if he had snapped out of a dream of sorts. He was met with the sight of the injured Guardian of Mount Tempest, crying and wailing in pain as it had just lost two of its body parts. Unable to hold itself up due to the sudden pain and loss of limbs, the Guardian crashed to its side.

[Congratulations Player NotYourTypicalMage for acquiring the title of One shot sounds cool!]

"...That's not fair...." Eve pouted. She didn't feel bad, she couldn't. After all, in her eyes, this was bound to happen. Nate was the greater mage, he had higher damage potential as well as a diverse skill set that allowed him to adapt and exercise his powers accordingly. However, she was slightly disappointed that before she could even celebrate her achievement, someone else had claimed it. Although, the someone else being someone she slightly looked up to and was close to was better than it being a random person.

"Uhm..." Noxx was confused. Ever since he noticed the formation of some weird weapon over Nate, he hadn't been able to properly focus. It was only thanks to Eve's constant fireballs that the Guardian hadn't trampled all over them. Noxx couldn't believe what had just happened, the giant creature was now thrashing around, its deafening cries echoed throughout the battlefield. He felt a little sad for the Guardian, but it was the only choice they had. After all, it was either kill or be killed.

Layla and Mocha felt the same way as well, Davinky wasn't really in a position to care about any of this, although he did let out an occasional, "We did it!", in his weary state. The other two had a cold expression on their faces, they could see the unusually curved sword even from where they sat. It wasn't colossal or anything but it would be weird to miss a huge blue weapon in the sky.

"Well...he is the leader for a reason. So I guess that makes sense. Although I have to say, I have no idea what was done...." Layla replied as she looked blankly at the fragment in her hand. It was one of the drops from the Guardian they had just killed.

"I guess so...but still. I'm not surprised due to the damage dealt, I mean I am but the fact that it was dealt at just level 100 is something scarier..." Mocha replied as he looked in the direction of the screams.

At this point, they would simply have to wait for another few minutes and the Guardian would die by itself, bringing an end to the entire raid. However, Nate wasn't in the state to do so, and the only ones who could move were Noxx and Eve, although they were slightly too overwhelmed by Nate's demonstration to do anything.

"Do not worry. I shall do my best to protect those close to My Lord," a voice interrupted their thoughts. It was Shade, although it didn't have the usual hints of confidence in it, which was probably because he was just as taken aback by Nate's skill. Shade stood in between the three of them and the Guardian and just assumed a defensive stance. He knew that there wasn't any need to steal a kill, but at the same time, he couldn't risk people close to His Lord. Therefore, in his mind, the best choice was to just stand and wait in case the monster acted out.

'What on earth did I just do...'

Nate was confused, he lost all the energy in his body and fell to his knees as he looked at his hands. All around him were drawings scribbled into the ground. What Nate, obviously, failed to realize was that it was him dancing around that etched those lines into the ground.

He was rightfully confused, to the others it looked like he achieved maximum concentration to the point where he could hear nobody. However, it was a trance for him. All he remembered was a few questions that floated in his subconscious.

Did this mean that his body was possessed? Of course not. In a way, Eve and the others were right to assume he was fully concentrated. Nate was consumed by his subconscious while he was performing a spell that he had never seen before. Technically, he did witness it in his dreams, but never in any show or video.

'What was that weapon....'

A Harpe, although most people don't really know of its existence because of the word sickle and scythe being more popular. However, all three of them were different, though they shared the same curved appearance. However, this raises the question, even if it did symbolize something, why would a Mage require a weapon? Especially a weapon other than a staff or a wand.

It was common knowledge that Mages usually used only such weapons, although Nate and Eve stuck to their fists as they felt the connection on a deeper level. At the end of the day, it was all a matter of comfort, however, they were definitely missing out on certain stat buffs the weapon would give them. This raises the question, why can't a mage use a sword?

It was simply because the goals didn't align. The entire purpose of magic or mana was to bridge the gap between doing and wanting to do. Mana was an extension of desire, it was an unexplainable power source that simply existed, however, through the strong emotions of beings, mana now acted as a bridge. An individual good with the sword is capable of slicing a log, but someone proficient in mana and not the sword would simply say the words, "wind blade", or any blade. It just depended on their imagination and mindset.

However, that wasn't all. Mages used weapons that enhanced their abilities, weapons such as swords, axes, and whatnot weren't the type to do so. Perhaps only the best of the best blacksmiths could produce swords that aided a mage. Although, that would require the mage to be good at the sword as well.

"...." Nate stood there and looked at the notifications flood in. He had only barely recovered from what just took place and now the rewards and whatnot were far too overwhelming, not to mention the experience they gained from killing all the beasts. Just the thought of going through all those notifications was enough to make his mind hurt. Although, he was slightly excited to see the growth.

'Is only the first place reward this good?'

If that truly was the case, then the raid was worth it. Initially, they only planned on taking part in this because of their relationship with Vraun, but now that the rewards were more than extraordinary, they had another reason to do so.

"Wow..."

Nate was currently on his knees looking up into the sky, not realizing the lines he drew weren't exactly random. Even him rotating his hands and dancing around was significant. Nobody could see the shape it had formed, they were right next to him, how would they. Even the drones were all disabled due to the Guardian's attack.

There he was, sitting exactly in the centre of a stropholos he drew with his dance, looking up at the notifications that just appeared.
