Type-Moon: The Human Love Simulator

Chapter 1: Type-Moon: The Human Love Simulator. [1]

"Why... Why does it have to be Type-Moon? I'm completely doomed now!"

After spending a few days exploring his surroundings, Su Kai learned that the city he was in was called Fuyuki. In that instant, his face was filled with despair.

It was currently the year 1990, in Fuyuki City...

Of course, that's not the main point, and neither is the Fourth Holy Grail War that would occur four years later.

The real issue was this tiny planet—according to the scraps of Type-Moon knowledge that Su Kai had gathered, humanity wouldn't even exist by 2016!

It was 1990 now, which meant he only had a maximum of 26 years left to live. And for a twenty-year-old in the prime of his life, dying at 46 sounded way too early!

"Where's Gaia? Where's Alaya? Someone save me!"

Even though he knew those two disappointing entities were unlikely to help, Su Kai's desperate pleas showed just how lost he was. He had no idea which deity to turn to for salvation.

But even if there were gods, they couldn't help—if they could, they wouldn't have severed their ties to this planet and fled to the outer realms.

No one could save him; he had to save himself. Farewell!

"This—this can't be right! Who's out to get me?"

Su Kai's frustration boiled over. Anyone would be furious if they were suddenly dragged into the Type-Moon universe while playing games and watching anime.

Fine, so you've kidnapped me, but where's my cheat ability?!

Now he had nothing—was he just supposed to survive on his own?

"Hmph! Even if humanity is doomed to extinction, I, Su Kai, will not accept such a fate!!"

Taking a deep breath, countless thoughts rushed through Su Kai's mind. This was the Type-Moon universe, not the ordinary real world. The destruction of human history was set in stone, but that didn't mean he couldn't make an escape!

Watch me make my successful run!

If I had to leave a last will, it would say this: Not running is not an option.

Su Kai knew his plan was insane. Trying to transcend this world within two decades was borderline delusional...

According to the Mage's Association's rank classification—Crown, Color, Element, Ritual, Opening, Long, End... Su Kai wasn't even at the lowest rank. He was a pure Muggle.

But knowing that humanity was doomed and then just sitting around doing nothing wasn't the answer. A true man should fight with everything he had, even if the odds were impossible!

"Compared to the clueless natives, I do have an advantage. Even if my Type-Moon knowledge is just from the cloud, I still count as someone descended from the heavens."

He began to recall the scattered Type-Moon information in his mind. Since this was a world of magic and magecraft, he dared not write anything down. But after careful contemplation, his anxiety subsided.

Not bad. At least I didn't end up as a homeless wanderer upon arriving. Whoever threw me into this moon-lit mess at least provided me with a small house. I had a roof over my head, if nothing else.

Half-asleep, Su Kai seemed to hear soft, anxious calls...

"My knight, where are you..."

"King of a hundred spirits, have you finished your journey..."

"Fairest of them all, who is the most beautiful goddess..."

"My light, awaken..."

"This tear, it is for..."

In the haze between dream and reality, the voices felt like they were piercing Su Kai's very soul. Even in his semi-conscious state, he couldn't help but respond: "You... Are you speaking to me?"

From the myriad of voices, one resonated the most and answered Su Kai's question.

"Knight... My knight..."

"Save me... I beg you, save me... Save the one who is not yet mature, who has not yet committed any grave sins..."

Hearing this sorrowful yet gentle voice, carrying the authority of one above all, Su Kai instinctively replied: "But... I can't do anything!"

Ding! Key elements detected. Type-Moon Simulator has loaded.

Young man chosen by the Simulator, go forth and walk the path destined for you!

Su Kai awoke.

The so-called 'Type-Moon Simulator' had bonded to him, expelling him from the dream. Yet, that gentle and regal voice remained etched in his heart.

It wasn't just that one voice. Though his memory of the event was vague, he knew that those voices had fused into his very soul, even if he couldn't recall them clearly.

"Whose... voices were those?"

He placed his hand over his heart, murmuring to himself, but no one could provide an answer.

Simulator initialization complete. Please select three random talents to begin...

Oathbreaker (Purple): All promises, no matter how eternal, will turn to dust. Every vow, no matter how solemn, will be broken.

Mastery of All Combat Arts (Blue): Is martial skill really that difficult? Do you understand the purity of technique?

Charming Persona (Green): As the name suggests, you're a handsome man who can rely on his looks.

Chaotic Evil (Green): Your alignment is permanently set to evil. Wherever you go, you are an enemy of order, but you will gain the favor of the wicked.

Weak Spot Hunter (White): A 100% chance to hit any weak point!

Useless (White): A person who is of no use, will die!

Silver Tongue (White): You have a sly tongue, but criticism is not the same as action.

"Seven options, and I get to pick three? Not bad for a starter pack..." Su Kai stroked his chin. "So, I do have a simulator after all? This must be my cheat ability!"

He was pleased. Anything was better than nothing.

But soon, he grew greedy, sighing with slight regret: "Why didn't I get any golden talents? Just one purple and one blue..."

Complaining wouldn't change anything, and he had no choice but to accept his average luck.

After some thought, the purple and blue talents were instant choices. No doubt about that. The white ones could be discarded immediately.

As for the two green options, one marked him as a foe to order, potentially giving him strong abilities, while the other made him a handsome man who could live off his looks...

Let's be real—power is temporary, but handsomeness is for life!

Su Kai knew the correct answer and chose the purple Oathbreaker, the blue Mastery of All Combat Arts, and the green Charming Persona.

Selection complete. Simulation beginning.

Selecting scenario...

1 Year Old: You were born in the house of a knight.

2 Years Old: You realize you might be in a noble household. You live in a castle, surrounded by ornate decorations far beyond what commoners could afford, though your home is mostly adorned with swords and armor.

3 Years Old: You become renowned for your intelligence and eloquence in the region of Maple Ridge. Even the nobility in the royal capital of Camelot have heard of you. Reputation +1.

During this time, you hear of a great conflict between two Celtic kings, Uther and Vortigern. Your father is summoned to fight. In the end, both Uther and Vortigern suffer heavy losses, and the price is paid by the common folk.

You feel deep sympathy for them, but there's nothing you can do.

4 Years Old: Driven by compassion for the peasants, you invent the famous moldboard plow, advancing agriculture significantly. Over three years, your land prospers, with harvests multiplying annually. In this era where the Age of Gods is fading, your actions have saved countless lives.

The people of your land are grateful, and your reputation begins to spread among the common folk of Britain.

5 Years Old: Even amidst the agricultural progress, you don't forget your duties as a noble knight. You lay the groundwork for future training. Your talent in combat is extraordinary—you master every weapon you touch.

You feel a strange certainty that, at this rate, you will one day master all forms of combat.

In that same year, the future King Arthur, son of Uther, is born. Few know of his existence, only Uther's closest confidants and kin.

Maple Ridge, located in southeast Kent, is a prosperous fief with hills, forests, and proximity to the sea. It is Uther's reward to his cousin, Sir Ector.

But living by the sea isn't all good. If the Celts are natural hunters, the Anglo-Saxons are natural pirates, and the coastal Celtic territories face constant raids. Defending the land falls to the local lords.

The rivalry between Vortigern and Uther intensifies. Within a month, Maple Ridge suffers multiple Anglo-Saxon attacks, nearly bringing it to collapse... You know you have to act.

Sir Ector, the lord of Maple Ridge, returns. With this mighty Celtic warrior leading the charge, the Saxon raids lessen considerably.

But defense alone will fail. The Saxon pirates begin to band together, and dozens of ships plan a joint attack. This is when you offer a strategy to Sir Ector—lure the enemy into a trap.

Though you wish to avoid war, though you merely want the common folk to eat their fill...

Virtue blooms, yet cannot escape the weeds...

Sir Ector follows your plan, directing the people to set traps in the forests, leaving traces of a hasty retreat, abandoned armor, and scattered riches, baiting the Saxons into pursuit.

This is a feigned retreat—Han Xin's famous tactic, though perhaps overkill for these barbarian Saxons.

Celts, hunters by nature, navigate the forests as if they were fields. The heavily armored knights and their towering warhorses are like mountains crashing down, annihilating all in their path.

Your strategy is a resounding success. This cunning plan not only repels the Saxons but also earns the respect of the uncouth Celts.

Knowing the battle is won, you prepare to negotiate the surrender of over a thousand captives, ready to move to the next phase. But Sir Ector orders the cutting of firebreaks and sets the mountain ablaze...

Finally, you understand why the Saxons fought like trapped beasts, why they resisted with such fury until the very end.

You try everything to save the disarmed captives, but the knights answer to Sir Ector, not you.

In the end, the fire rages for seven days and seven nights, filling the vast land with the sickening scent of roasting flesh.

You finally see this era for what it is—this era called 'Celtic.'

You and Sir Ector clash violently over the massacre. You say it is wrong, that killing brings misfortune!

Birds were not born to be caged, and humans were not born to die.

Sir Ector mocks your compassion, calling it 'weakness.' In his eyes, Celtic warriors have no need for such fragility.

The father-son argument ends in a bitter stalemate. In the end, Sir Ector manages to protect his family through this disaster—or perhaps, you managed to save yourself.

Fate has shifted at this moment...
