Chapter 11
“Stop it!! I swear, block it even if it means dying!!!”
The desperate scream of Curry fills the quiet room.
If you were listening with headphones, the decibel level was strong enough to damage your eardrums.
Maybe it was because 2 million won was on the line; Curry was more earnest about the game than ever.
However, Curry ultimately failed to protect the Nexus, and along with a dive, lost 2 million won.
“Uwaaaah!!”
Crash! Bang!
Curry tossed the mouse and fell out of the camera view along with the chair.
For a moment, silence filled the broadcast, and I worried if Curry got hurt from the fall.
“Ugh… my 2 million won…”
Not long after, Curry’s sobbing voice was heard, and I was relieved.
Considering how much Curry kept lamenting about the 2 million won, it didn’t seem like there were any serious injuries.
‘How did things end up like this…’
Curry had done well for sure.
During the laning phase, even when the enemy jungler ganked, Curry won a 2v1 fight.
Before the promotions began, Curry had also spent over 30 minutes in a psychological battle with the stream snipers and successfully shook them off.
It was the ultimate scenario with optimal conditions for the final promotion match, but due to the incredibly bad ‘team luck,’ defeat was inevitable.
“Aah… it hurts so much.”
Curry returned to the camera, grimacing as she straightened the fallen chair.
Having lost both the promotion match that could’ve been the last chance in this grim time and the 2 million won, it was only natural for even Curry, who maintained peak condition throughout the stream, to feel the drop in energy.
Looking all gloomy, like a rain-soaked puppy after losing both money and honor, it made me laugh.
Of course, just feeling sorry would not warrant pressing the mission success button.
After all, the reason I loaded up 2 million won was because of Curry.
{ Flower Shop Owner donated 500,000 won. }
– Good job.
“Oh dear, Flower Shop Owner! Even after a mission failure, you donated 500,000 won!! Thank you so much!!!”
With capital to heal Curry’s mental state somewhat, I turned off the broadcast.
Curry seemed ready to show a grateful reaction, but right now she was just too exhausted.
“Maybe I should work out…”
Maybe it was because I hadn’t fully adapted to this female body; even after just 6 hours of gaming a day, my body felt completely worn out.
When I was a man, I could endure gaming for up to 18 hours a day.
Was it true that women just didn’t have good stamina, or was this body particularly weak?
I hated things that were bothersome, but I hated even more the fact that I couldn’t do what I wanted.
Since all I had was time and money left, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to find a gym later on.
As I pondered various thoughts, my eyes began to close.
Drowsiness hit me quickly, and my vision turned completely black.
*
Time flowed like water, and the end of the season for League of Legends approached.
Solo Queue users were playing ranked games more diligently than anyone else.
To end the season at a tier higher than their current one, most players put a serious attitude toward games.
However, there were users who weren’t so serious; they were those who had already parked.
The true ‘gatekeepers’ were rampant, and it was the day before the season ended.
Two hours before the season concluded, Curry started her broadcast.
“Please don’t sniper for real, okay? Huh?”
Having become a veteran butt-kisser through many gatekeepers, Curry gritted her teeth as she looked at the camera.
And for good reason; Curry hadn’t parked at Master yet.
It was natural for Curry to seriously warn, having made her promotion matches while shedding blood tears.
It was the moment that decided whether the tier to wrap up a year-long period would be blue or purple.
Even for Curry, who was generally lenient towards snipers, allowing a sniper in the Master promotion match with only two hours left before the season ended was unacceptable.
But who were Curry’s viewers? They were those little troublemakers who would be even more aggressive when asked not to do something.
Naturally, both Curry and her audience knew this, and an invisible psychological battle began.
‘By the way, why hasn’t that sniper shown up?’
As Curry was engaged in a psychological battle with the sniper, she remembered a certain sniper who had become invisible.
Thanks to that sniper, she had been able to produce a series of legendary videos and rake in significant profits.
But strangely, that sniper hadn’t appeared since that day when her Master promotion match took place.
‘Has something happened?’
Thinking back to the past where she was being relentlessly sniped, it was unlikely that they just got tired of it.
So could it be that something happened that prevented that sniper from playing?
‘…Forget it!’
Considering how much she had suffered because of that player, the mental damage would surely add up to billions.
Thus, at an appropriate moment, Curry quietly entered the match queue without making any noise.
With the end of the season drawing near, she had to win three consecutive matches just to barely secure her spot in Master.
It was one of the top moments in her 26-year life where Curry focused intensely.
With breathless tension, the matchmaking was set, and Curry steadied her trembling hands to accept the match.
The Lonely Gourmet has joined.
Nayun Queen has joined.
Talarian has joined.
NikoniKopi has joined.
killyou has joined.
The nicknames of her teammates popped up in the chat.
Among those names, one nickname stood out as both familiar and dreadful.
Curry hadn’t hoped for such a reunion in this teaming.
Nayun Queen: “Are you really desperate?”
“Shit.”
As that day’s nightmare popped up in her head, Curry inadvertently cursed.
Reuniting with Nayun Queen after a week was genuinely the worst.
*
Since that day, I stopped sniping Curry.
When I woke up, my whole body ached, and realizing my condition was more serious than I thought, I focused on taking care of myself.
At first, I tried to register at a gym, but considering the times, it was hard to find one that was operating normally.
So I bought a few suitable exercise equipment and set them up in my home.
Since then, I have steadily exercised and improved my stamina.
Initially, it was excruciatingly difficult.
People say humans are animals of adaptation, right?
As I pushed myself hard, my body eventually adjusted to the intense workout schedule.
As a result, my body, which could only handle 6 hours of gaming, was now able to handle about 12 hours.
“Ugh…”
The morning sunlight filtering through the curtains woke me up.
After having worked out late into the night, my physical state was nothing to brag about.
I got up from bed and headed to the living room.
I opened the fridge and carelessly shoved some chicken breast and salad into my mouth.
After solving my hunger and turning my head, I found the living room in a mess.
Delivery boxes piled up and recycling trash, along with dust settled everywhere due to lack of cleaning.
Despite my laid-back lifestyle, even I couldn’t tolerate this level of filth, which is why I called a cleaning service yesterday.
“When did I say they would come again…”
I vaguely remembered when I had sought the help of a cleaning service.
What time did I set for their work hours again?
I had posted a recruitment message for daytime cleaners and picked the first person that applied.
Back then, I was probably too tired because I had been working out.
Suddenly, that moment resurfaced in my mind.
Ding-dong
Hearing the doorbell, I checked the time.
It was 9 AM.
Right on time.
I got up from my seat and headed to the front door.
*
Kim Jihye was just an ordinary college student.
Because her family wasn’t very well off, she had to work part-time, even during such times, to fund her college education.
That was one sentence that represented the life of Kim Jihye.
“Wow…”
Having lived such a mundane life, Jihye couldn’t help but marvel at the neat, country-style home in front of her.
Coming from a shabby home, it was rare for her to see such a spacious house.
Moreover, she never imagined she would be working in such a house, so she stood there in awe for a while.
After a moment of admiration, she remembered her original purpose.
“Um, um…”
Lightly clearing her throat, Jihye rang the doorbell with trembling hands.
Ding-dong
The doorbell rang once.
Step, step—
A moment later, the sound of footsteps approached from inside.
Feeling unnecessarily nervous, she swallowed and the door slowly began to open.
The person who stepped out was a woman.
Without realizing it, Jihye scrutinized the woman’s appearance.
Misty yet striking red eyes.
Long, light red hair that flowed down to her waist.
Was she just waking up? Her hair was a mess in all directions.
The woman’s skin, likely the homeowner, was flawless without a blemish.
Contrasting with her fair skin, the dark circles under her eyes gave off a rather decadent vibe.
She resembled a legendary vampire in appearance.
Most importantly, the woman’s figure was absurdly perfect.
Even as a woman herself, Jihye was rendered speechless by the incredible figure.
‘She, she’s even…’
Feeling an irrational sense of relative deprivation, Jihye snapped back to reality and looked down.
“I’m Kim Jihye, starting as your cleaning part-timer today!”
“Please come in.”
Following the homeowner inside, Jihye looked around, her head turning.
From the outside, it appeared quite spacious, but upon entering, the expanse was more palpable.
“The cleaning tools are in the storage room over there. If you need anything, just call me.”
“Ah, yes! Understood.”
Moving towards the storage room that the homeowner, Nayun, pointed out, Jihye noticed basic cleaning tools available.
She had already checked the state of the house while exploring before, and it was quite dirty.
Of course, it was only natural for the house to be dirty.
If it had been clean, there would have been no reason to recruit extra help.
Thus, she began the serious task of cleaning.

The League of Legends season came to a close.
A new large-scale patch was implemented, so much so that it caused a great upheaval in item changes.
Some people were thrilled with the new patch, but others weren’t thrilled about the changes.
Thus began the preseason with the major patch in effect.
Many began to adapt to the new changes.
“What? Platform Tournament?”
As significant changes swept through League of Legends, similar winds began to blow in the streaming community as well.
