Chapter 2: A Digital World: Part 1
[3rd Pov]
{Present}
As the portal started closing, wisps of energy spewed out, creating an aurora of energy in the sky. An unconscious Jay lay on the ground, broken bones riddling his body as the energy began to fall toward him. As motes of light fell, they swirled around Jay before enveloping his body and slowly sank into it.
After a brief pause, his body glowed dimly as his body began repairing itself. Slowly opening his eyes, Jay sat up, checking his surroundings, where he found himself sitting in a large crater.
"Ugh, that was not a pleasant experience."
Groaning, he looked up to see the tear he had come through finish closing. Looking down, he examined the new weird clothes he was sporting.
They were made of a sleek black material, the texture almost akin to some high-tech armor you'd see in futuristic movies. The clothes were hard yet weirdly soft.
Glancing at his hands, he saw sharp claws at the end of each fingertip while blue outlines covered his arms, glowing dimly as they pulsated with each passing second.
Reaching up to rub his head, he noticed he was wearing a hooded cape that seemed to meld with the rest of his suit. Reaching around to touch his face, he felt what seemed to be a sleek mask covering his entire head.

"The hell?"
Pulling the hood down, he tried removing the helmet to no avail. He continued fiddling with it a bit more until he eventually gave up.
Pushing himself off the ground, he stretches, taking note that his new clothes didn't restrict any of his movements at all, which was a nice bonus. As he climbed out of the crater he checked his surroundings.
Once again, he couldn't help but notice everything was a mix of black, blue, and white. Well, almost everything. Squinting his eyes, he notices what looked to be a massive megacity covered in a reddish orange hue.
"Well, that doesn't look ominous at all." He quips to himself.
Even from this distance where he stood he could tell how huge the city was. Looking the other way, he sees another city not far off in the distance, one that matched the hue of the world he now finds himself in.
"Well, at least it's better than that hellscape." With that, he put his hood back on and started walking toward the city. __________________

{An Hour Later}
"Yeah, I'm not walking the rest of the way." I groaned, exhausted from the walk.
Stopping, I began to search for anything that could be of use. Looking around, I spotted what appeared to be a junkyard.
Spotting a few vehicles that seemed to be well maintained, I made my way through the junkyard before stopping in front of what looked like a futuristic motorcycle.
'This is the coolest-looking bike I'll probably ever see in my life.' I thought, and was honestly kind of geeking out at how cool it looked.
As I hopped on, it was then I realized I had no idea how to start this thing. There were no keyholes or anything from what I could see that showed me how to start it. No panels or wires, nothing.
"Like hell, I'll be walking all the way to that city." I grunted as I gripped what looked to be the handles, revving it in an attempt to get it started.
"C'mon. Come… On!"
Shouting in frustration, I slammed my fists on the bike. Right as I did, I noticed black and blue energy leaking out of my hands before seeping into the bike.
"Ok, weird…" I whispered to myself.
Just as I was about to get off the bike to find another vehicle, it began glowing as it started up with a low hum to it.
"Now we're talking." Grinning to myself, I bent down as my cape merged itself with my suit as my hood disappeared, leaving only my helmet.
"Cool feature." I smirked before revving the bike and speeding toward the city.
