Trapped in Paradise (In a Hentai World, as a Trap)

Volume 1 Chapter 20: Outing

Currently, the family situations of the three individuals in the dormitory were quite ordinary, especially for Wen Yang.

The attribute “poor” was mentioned in the book; otherwise, how could the male protagonist, a university student, frequently work various part-time jobs, encountering various girls, and getting involved in unclear relationships?

Although Wen Yang wasn’t the male protagonist yet and hadn’t started his part-time job journey, money was already tight.

It was almost the end of the month, and Ning Chu and Wang Jie didn’t have much left either.

Standing outside on the balcony, Ning Chu looked at the two inside. The three of them exchanged confused glances. After a moment of silence, Ning Chu lowered his head and commented, “The wealthy guy unexpectedly returned home at this time.”

If Zhang Shaoqing were here, he would definitely insist on treating.

Thinking about it being the money of the supporting character, Ning Chu found it quite reasonable. Not only did he not feel any embarrassment, but he even thought about bankrupting Zhang Shaoqing, making sure he had no chance of becoming an antagonist.

After a moment of silent eye contact, Ning Chu took the initiative, suggesting, “Let’s go take a look anyway? The amusement park doesn’t necessarily require spending money.”

Wang Jie agreed, and Wen Yang, looking at the two, reluctantly nodded in agreement.

The university was located on the mountainside in the suburbs, surrounded by a beautiful and quiet environment. The nearby area was a commercial district that had sprung up because of the university. It might be a bit troublesome to go to the city center, but reaching the amusement park, also situated in the suburbs, only required a less than half-hour bus ride.

Before this, the farthest place Ning Chu had been to was the Sichuan restaurant behind the school gate.

He had also fantasized about what kind of world existed outside the university, which was the main stage for the hentai protagonist’s campus life. Only when he actually boarded the bus did he realize that this world seemed quite normal.

There were no perverted men taking sneak photos on the bus, no girls with flushed faces squeezing their legs tightly. There wasn’t even any sign of supernatural phenomena. Except for the high attractiveness and bold clothing choices of the people here, there didn’t seem to be much difference from his past life.

Ning Chu curiously looked out of the window, examining everything around him.

Did this indicate that if he left the school, escaped from the side of the male protagonist, he could spend the latter half of his life peacefully?

He turned his head to glance at Wen Yang, who was sitting beside him. The guy was tall, with his legs spread out, occupying his space. Ning Chu had to try to bring his legs together and lean towards the window.

Wen Yang noticed his gaze, looked down, and said, “Let me make it clear first; I only have two hundred left for this month’s living expenses.”

“I’ll treat you,” Ning Chu rolled his eyes at him.

This fool! Who has the male protagonist of the story worrying about money every day?

They still hadn’t completely figured out the situation outside. Escaping wasn’t a wise choice; what if they encountered a more challenging situation? Besides, the plot had just started, and Wen Yang was still a pure virgin, temporarily posing no threat to him.

If one day Wen Yang turned into a scumbag, Zhang Shaoqing became an antagonist, he would definitely flee overnight carrying a train.

Renting a house outside would, at most, change the time and location of the events that had previously occurred in the dormitory. The previous Ling Ling, and later the bar, these two plotlines were both delayed and then found him again at a different time.

“Do you think I should get a part-time job?” Wen Yang sighed softly, leaning back in his chair.

Part-time job? Impossible!

Ning Chu’s mind turned, and he immediately spouted some profound words of wisdom, “Our job as students is to study. You have the school’s subsidy; why go out to work instead of studying?”

“That’s true…”

“If you’re short on money, just tell me.” He openly patted his flat chest, making a thudding sound. “Although I’m not as rich as Shaoqing, I can still afford to feed one more mouth!”

“Do we really need to do that?”

“We’re dorm mates! Don’t worry about it too much.” Ning Chu waved his hand nonchalantly, reassuringly smiling.

In Wen Yang’s eyes, illuminated by the sunlight from outside, Ning Chu, with a faint glow on his skin, looked exceptionally sweet and warm, almost like a little angel.

“Don’t overthink it; just enjoy the outing.”

“Yeah.”

Ning Chu suppressed Wen Yang’s intention to work part-time and secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Then, he began to calculate whether his living expenses would be enough for both of them to eat.

It wouldn’t be a problem to buy buns for Wen Yang for every meal…

He was just an author of a hentai story and now just a supporting character. Why did he have to worry about his parents?

Chatting and laughing along the way, half an hour later, the three of them got off the bus and arrived at the bus stop where the amusement park was located.

On the weekend, there were quite a few tourists, groups of three to five people frolicking on the streets. This amusement park didn’t have an entrance fee restriction; only the rides required tickets, which relieved Ning Chu.

He thought they might not even be able to enter the park after traveling so far.

“I’ll go buy some water for you guys first.”

Ning Chu was the initiator of this trip, so naturally, he had to take care of the two. It also prevented Wen Yang from not enjoying himself, as he had just scolded Wang Jie earlier and needed to make amends.

After buying three bottles of mineral water, he walked out of the small supermarket with a plastic bag. When he looked towards the bus stop, he found that his roommates were no longer there.

He paused, raised his foot, and swept the large square in front of the amusement park. However, the place was crowded, and even if he tried hard, with his height of only 1.6 meters, he could only see a group of people blocking his view.

“He didn’t secretly get on the bus and go back, did he?”

Ning Chu muttered to himself. He guessed that when Wen Yang and Wang Jie were waiting for him, they probably were just wandering around nearby.

He hadn’t written any plots related to the amusement park in the book, so he wasn’t too worried.

He just hoped Wen Yang wouldn’t encounter any girls mentioned in the book and trigger a plot here.

He lifted his foot and walked towards the square, his eyes scanning left and right, looking for his roommate’s figure.

As a man, he shouldn’t be afraid of such a situation, but within a few minutes, he became anxious, flustered, and lost his composure.

He found that there was a suspicious figure behind him, sneaking after him!

It had been two weeks since he came to this world. Previously, whether it was eating, sleeping, military training, or lectures at school, he always did activities with his roommates. But this time, he was alone.

A strong uneasiness enveloped him.

Ning Chu felt a chill down his spine. When he occasionally turned around, the figure quickly hid in the crowd, leaving only malicious eyes staring at him, like a suburban wolf lurking in the dark night.

Who is it?!

Is it a criminal planning to rob or steal money, or the concealed monster that’s part of the hentai story’s typical setting?

Perhaps his reaction was a bit abnormal. Several tourists around focused their attention on him, whispering quietly, seemingly amused by his plight.

The sky darkened, and the air became scarce, making his heart beat faster incessantly. He could only breathe heavily, taking in large gulps of air.

All the scattered and broken sounds magnified in his brain, coming from all directions.

Everything around him felt so unfamiliar, and he felt rejected by the entire world, floating outside, not accepted by anyone.

“Ning Chu!”

“We’ve been looking for you. Why are you standing here alone?”

The distant call suddenly thundered into his ears like lightning. Ning Chu shuddered all over, subconsciously looking back. Wen Yang and Wang Jie were coming towards him, one after the other.

“Wen Yang, Wang Jie…”

If there was something he found familiar in this unfamiliar world, it would probably be the characters from his book, his roommates who had lived together for two weeks.

The heart hanging in his throat peacefully descended when he saw his roommates. The malicious gaze from behind disappeared at this moment.

“What’s wrong? You look haggard.”

“I– I was looking for you guys…”

“We were looking for you too.”
