Transmigrator Commander of Girls Frontline must not be a Reckless man

Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Griffin Might Just Be for Show

Tokarev and Galil watched almost helplessly as AK47 rushed into that warehouse. They could faintly smell some alcohol, likely emanating from that very warehouse. However, the scent of barbecue seemed even stronger than the alcohol.

"Is this... the warehouse that foreign commander rented before? Could they be having a barbecue party in there?" Tokaarev recalled the sight of Renault and his dolls from a previous visit with their own commander, Peter Lyenkov.

Thinking about it, these people, who had turned into this tragic state, were most likely victims of Renault. It was surprising to see that the seemingly reasonable commander had resorted to such brutal methods against these doll traffickers. Although these traffickers had lost their form, the cause of death was easily discernible.

"Cheers!" they heard AK47's loud voice from inside the warehouse, seemingly followed by others joining in.

"We should probably go and check. AK47 might have had too much to drink again," Galil said, sensing trouble.

"Ah! Right! Let's hurry!" Tokarev rushed towards the warehouse.

However, when they reached the warehouse entrance and peeked inside, they saw AK47 and Simonov enjoying themselves, each with a bottle of vodka, appearing completely intoxicated.

"Commander, more dolls are coming," M1911, munching on a homemade barbecue sandwich like a hamster, mumbled to Renault.

"Hmm, got it," Renault replied, not indulging like the dolld. He had already finished eating and was now organizing the ammunition boxes in the truck, planning to make a sleeping area in the cargo compartment. When he first arrived in this world, he spent several days sleeping on park benches. He hadn't even had the chance to set up his new home in the tavern before encountering these dolls and moving here.

There were no beds among the supplies from the Griffin Base, and the only bedding available were a few dusty mattresses in the warehouse and they would suffice after some cleaning.

Seeing the newly arrived dolls voraciously eating and drinking, Renault's team couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

They were eager, but not to this extent of munching like they are starving to death right?

"Uh... Is your food usually that bad?" M1 Garand asked, concerned.

"Well, it's not terrible, but it's not great either. We have three meals a day, all self-heating rations or canned food... It's all that stingy old man's fault. He always deducts part of the payment and raises the prices when we buy things," Gail vented her frustration about their employer. If it weren't for their employer often withholding their commissions, their commander's base wouldn't be so financially strained.

"Stingy old man?" The combination of "stingy" and "old man" immediately made M1 Garand and the others think of the illegal modified doll who had come to the warehouse demanding a rent increase. Could it be the same person?

"Oh! Right! We haven't reported to the commander about the employer being an doll!" Gail suddenly remembered the reconnaissance mission that AK47 had interrupted earlier.

They were here to investigate the cause of the explosions in the city! How did they end up eating here instead?

Slapping her forehead, Tokarev immediately stopped what she was doing and closed her eyes to contact Griffin Base through the Zener protocol.

In a town like this, the communication range of the Zener protocol was definitely sufficient to send the information and footage they had gathered to the base's control center.

But instead of receiving a response, Tokaarev's forehead broke out in cold sweat.

They couldn't establish a connection!

The communication was being jammed!

"Alert! Be cautious! Someone is jamming the communication system in this area!" Tokarev became nervous as the Zener protocol connection was cut off, and the communication system remained unresponsive. She put down her plate and was about to run to the door.

But before she could take two steps, Renault grabbed her by the neck and pulled her back.

At the same time, the warehouse door exploded open!

Boom!

"Well, that was quick," Renault remarked, waving away a few flying door fragments as he glanced at the scene outside.

Outside the door were the man who had been blown to pieces not long ago and a group of fully armed modified dolls.
