Chapter 13: Chapter 13
As she left the luxurious club, the lady and the two sisters accompanied him to the car and said goodbye while watching him leave.
It was late, the weather had turned cooler, and Lin Yi clearly saw that the two girls, dressed only in white dresses, were shivering from the cold, yet they stood firm to bid him farewell.
This stirred a mix of emotions and reflections in him: professionals are simply different.
The attitude and quality of the service convinced him that he would return next time.
He took a piece of paper from his pocket with two phone numbers the sisters had given him.
They also invited him to call them to go out for drinks when he had time.
Clearly, going out for drinks wouldn't just mean drinking; it would also involve having sex with them.
"My charm is really strong."
Lin Yi smiled proudly and then rolled down the window, tore the paper into pieces, and threw them into the air.
There is still the saying that what is free is always more expensive.
Lin Yi preferred to spend money rather than seek advantages and have private dealings with them.
Although they were clearly interested in him, Lin Yi was only interested in their bodies.
Lin Yi had no interest in women who had money.
Of course, it wasn't that he looked down on those women seeking money; everyone has their choices, and he had his own ideas.
He never thought of getting emotionally involved with those escort girls; the relationship between them should be limited to money, contributing to a harmonious society and facilitating everyone's lives.
Need anything else?
The next day.
After finishing morning classes, lunchtime arrived.
"Ugh... today's math homework was a bit difficult," said Ran, putting down her pen and looking frustrated.
"Difficult? I found it quite easy."
Shinichi Kudo said, stretching and yawning. "It's so simple that it almost makes me want to sleep..."
"Yeah, yeah, I know!" Ran replied angrily. "We already know you're very smart! And I'm a little silly, okay?"
Shinichi Kudo smiled and then looked at the transfer student, saying, "Ran, did you have lunch with that Sonoko guy yesterday?"
"Hm… By the way, why do you use that word to describe people? It's very rude."
Ran scolded Shinichi Kudo.
"That guy isn't a good student... Yesterday afternoon, he got into another fight with those troublemakers. I think you should... not get too close to him."
Shinichi felt a little jealous but didn't express it directly. Instead, he tried to indirectly warn Ran not to get too involved with him.
"Shinichi!" Ran got annoyed upon hearing that. "He just transferred, doesn't have friends, and has been bullied. Even if you don't worry about him, you shouldn't say things like that!"
Although she didn't know exactly why, she didn't like him either.
Shinichi thought this to himself, but as a polite detective, he wouldn't show it.
"Okay... okay, it was my mistake, let's not talk about it anymore."
Shinichi waved his hand, not wanting to continue discussing the topic. Then he approached Ran to ask for his lunch: "Did you make me a bento?"
Shinichi didn't know that his comment had touched a sensitive nerve with the girls.
"My mistake" was on the list of the ten phrases girls hate most to hear from boys.
Ran got upset hearing that. If it weren't for your mistake, would I have gotten mad at you?
"I don't have it," Ran said disdainfully, starting to throw a tantrum. Even though she had the bento, she claimed she didn't.
Shinichi replied, frustrated, "Huh? You don't have it? Then what am I going to have for lunch today? You said yesterday that you would prepare the bento..."
"Hmph!" Ran turned her head and ignored him.
At that moment, Yamamoto from the neighboring class rushed in and said to Shinichi, "Kudo! That idiot Shiga hurt himself in a fight yesterday and can't come out to play. Come help!"
"But I haven't had lunch yet."
"Well, neither have I. Come on, let's go to the store to buy something to eat; it's on me. You have to show your skills and make those guys in Class F get what they deserve!"
"Alright!"
Upon hearing the request, Shinichi accepted without hesitation.
He stood up, waved goodbye to Ran, said, "I'll go first," and quickly left through the door to hang out with his friends.
"Hey! Hey!"
Ran watched as Shinichi hurried away; she shouted and couldn't stop him, which only made her angrier.
Lin Yi, who saw this scene from a distance, shook his head:
"Tsk, tsk, this is how a completely insensitive man loses his childhood friend... Kudo, you can't blame me; it's your fault for not seizing the opportunity."
Ran felt disappointed and sad. She had prepared the bento so carefully that she couldn't even take it out.
Lin Yi wasn't going to miss a good opportunity and immediately approached to invite Ran and Sonoko to lunch.
