Transmigrated as the Ex-Wife of a Heroic Man

Chapter 1201 - 1201 Chief Editor Xia

Chapter 1201: Chapter 1201 Chief Editor Xia

Everything was fine, but I was made to feel all nervous.

The funnier thing was, yesterday Hengyang actually went to seek out Grandpa Qi, asking why Wenwen didn’t experience any morning sickness. Aren’t pregnant women supposed to throw up? Could something be wrong? He also pleaded with Grandpa Qi to never hide anything from him, insisting that he should be told everything as he could take it.

Grandpa Qi was so annoyed that he outright told him to get lost and chased him away.

Such ridiculous fuss.

Even though he was sent packing by Grandpa Qi from the Traditional Chinese Medicine department, Hengyang didn’t give up; he turned to the Gynecology department instead. There he went, under the weird gazes of many, to ask the doctors a whole notebook’s worth of questions, causing the physicians’ faces to become more and more embarrassed until they were utterly bewildered.

They wanted to shoo him away! But they didn’t have the same esteemed status as Grandpa Qi.

They didn’t dare to! The entire gynecology ward’s patients had been scared off by him.

Only after making an appointment with the doctor to come for a checkup every month was he finally willing to leave.

Thank heavens, the great god had finally been sent away.

All these things were relayed to Su Wen over the phone by Zhou Yan because as soon as Hengyang left, the news spread to everyone who needed to know.

Back at the studio, Fang Sha hurried over, not even caring about the big boss’s cold demeanor anymore.

“Boss.”

“What’s the matter?” Su Wen had figured out a pattern; ever since Hengyang moved his office here, none of the employees would approach her unless they had to. They’d avoid her if they could.

Su Wen found it strange. Ever since Hengyang started working from her place, she hadn’t seen him lose his temper or scold anyone, nor did he micromanage everyone, and he wasn’t even the one handing out the salaries. Yet everyone was acting as scared as quails.

But there was a silver lining. With Hengyang for contrast, she became the most perfect, most popular boss in everyone’s eyes.

Just the other day, she overheard Fang Sha chatting with someone, murmuring sympathetically about the employees at Changhe, saying how pitiful they were, living in such dire conditions, and so on. Su Wen found it amusing; when it came to prospects for development, or salary and benefits, there was no better company than Changhe.

Changhe was already making a name for itself, and in the future, it would soar even faster. All these veteran employees would become the esteemed forefathers of the Changhe Group, each worth millions.

“President Zhou is here, with someone else. It’s Chief Editor Xia. They’re waiting in your office,” whispered Fang Sha.

“Okay, I got it.”

The studio was warm, and as soon as Su Wen walked in, Hengyang automatically helped her take off her hat, gloves, and scarf. She kept her down jacket on, planning to take it off once they got to her office to avoid catching a cold. So while Su Wen was talking to Fang Sha, she stood still, letting Hengyang take care of her with practiced motions.

Fang Sha’s eyes widened at the sight.

If she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, she would never have believed that such a cold and deathly boss could be so caring, and so good at it too.

“I’ll head to the study, I have a few calls to make,” said Hengyang.

Next to Su Wen’s office was a small study, specially arranged for Hengyang. To avoid disturbing Su Wen, he took all his calls in the study. Usually, when Su Wen was handling official matters, Hengyang never interfered.

“Hmm!”

As she entered her office, Zhou Yan was sitting at the small coffee table in front of the French windows, eating strawberries. Seeing Su Wen walk in, he didn’t stand up but simply waved his hand familiarly, “I saw you come in with your eldest nephew just now. Where’s the nephew?”
