Chapter 67: The Touch Part 27
The City: Kaon
[54 Days After Megatron's Appearance]
"I swear! I swear! I don't know anything! I don't know anything about my boss." Begged a bot with a sword piercing his leg, his Energon, his life source, slowly leaking from his body.
"I suggest you cooperate, unless you want my brother to take over this interrogation." Dreadwing threatened, pulling his sword out of the Energon-trafficking Bot's leg.
Dreadwing and Skyquake were having a somewhat friendly conversation with this bot a few minutes ago, both wanting information to further their master Megatron's goals.
Skyquake banged his fists together, making it clear that he would not be as gentle as his twin brother. "If you want to keep your two legs, you better start talking while you still have the strength."
"Please, I've told you everything I know, I'm just a simple middleman, I'm nothing in the business hierarchy." The bot begged, trying to drag himself out of the dark alley in a futile attempt to save himself.
"Then tell me who you communicate with! You can live another day if you cooperate with us." Dreadwing tried to be as patient as possible, but he was tired of the Bot hiding the game from him and his brother.
"I... I..." The Bot looked at the two twin brothers in fear, knowing that his life was in their hands and that it only depended on how he said it, and that was incredibly scary to describe.
Skyquake glanced discreetly out of the corner of his eye to watch their backs and saw that a mysterious bot was pointing a gun at him and his brother, which meant that the hunt for criminals they had begun at Megatron's request had already been noticed by the Kaon Mafia. [Perfect, it looks like the next suspect decided to show up on his own.] He thought, looking at his brother, who had also noticed the killer instinct of the bot behind them.
"I'm going to ask you one last time, where is your superior?" Dreadwing asked, holding his sword as he mentally prepared to attack the cowardly bot who planned to kill him and his brother with a shot in the back right then and there.
"DIE, YOU DAMN DECEPTICONS!" The Bot wielding the weapon shouted, firing a blast of Energon at Dreadwing, who simply responded to the threat by reflecting the shot in another direction while spinning his sword as if he were a swordsman with hundreds of years of practice in the art of the sword. "WHAT? HOW?!"
Before the Bot could fire again, his arm exploded violently from a blast of Energon that passed through part of his chest and traveled to the wall, making a large hole.
Dreadwing and Skyquake were caught off guard, neither of them sensing the presence of a second sniper, so both of them were alert for a more serious fight.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! SHIT!!! WHAT HAPPENED?" The bot screamed in panic, grabbing at his blown-out shoulder, and within seconds he realized that his arm was missing from that spot, frightening himself even more. "MY ARM!!!"
Dreadwing and Skyquake looked at an approaching figure, a twenty-foot tall bot in black and white armor wearing a local police badge.
"You two are great, but it's disappointing to see how amateurish you both are when it comes to torturing someone." The policeman said sternly, surrounded by a sinister aura, his red eyes shining imposingly. "Let a professional handle this."
"You are Barricade." Skyquake said, a little impressed by the officer's casual brutality. He recognized him from rumors of a certain police officer who was so dangerous to criminals that he made them tremble with fear when they heard his name.
"Exactly, and this is my territory, I don't want the Decepticons getting in the way of my work." Barricade approached and kicked the bot he had just shot with his weapon hard in the back. "If this bastard manages to escape, he will obviously warn his companions, and Megatron's plan will fail."
"You're a follower of Megatron?" Dreadwing let his guard down a bit, impressed to see an Autobot worshipping his master.
"I identify with Megatron's ideal; he may be the solution to making these streets safe in the future." Barricade crossed his arms, not feeling threatened by the size of the two twin brothers who dwarfed him in height and strength. "Now that the introductions are over, time for business, Dreadwing and Skyquake."
"You know our names." Skyquake looked suspicious, ready to draw his minigun if necessary.
"You two are famous, brothers from the same spark are rare, even more so when they are mercenaries." Barricade grabbed the head of the bot he had just shot with his gun and dragged it toward the bot being tortured or interrogated, finding the brothers to be very amateurish in that regard.
The tortured bot's eyes widened, and he had no time to speak as Barricade kicked his head hard against the wall, causing his circuits to explode horribly on the wall and floor. Skyquake and Dreadwing took a step back from the sudden murder without warning, as Barricade had hidden his murderous intentions perfectly from their view.
"Don't worry, this assassin will definitely be more useful than a simple Energon dealer. Average or pathetic killers like this are usually hired in groups." Barricade said casually, causing the killer bot to clench its teeth in fear. "Then we must welcome the rest of the guests to the party." He smiled without a trace of pity.
"You didn't have to kill him like that." Dreadwing said.
"Do not waste your energy mourning an insignificant death, this idiot is already responsible for countless casualties every day due to his trade in adulterated Energon, drug dealers like this are nothing more than scum." Barricade glared at Dreadwing, making it clear that any complaints about his actions were irrelevant to him. "We have no time to waste here, it won't be long before the other assassins try to corner us."
Skyquake looked at his brother, both just nodding in unison, both knowing that Barricade was right and that they couldn't fight in a place like this. Only when everything was settled could they question the policeman who was helping them. "Brother, did you bring your bombs?"
"I always bring them." Dreadwing picked up a remote-controlled bomb that only needed to be set to detonate. "Let's set a trap in an abandoned place."
"I know a place that might be useful for this trap." Barricade grabbed the killer bot's jaw and, with a combination of strength and practice, ripped it off, taking the necessary precautions to avoid being fatal. "Let's go."
Skyquake looked at his brother and then at Barricade, at a loss for words to describe what he had just seen. "Why are you helping us? What is your goal?"
"Not much, I just want to get rid of these vermin in this city, I don't care about the means." Barricade dragged the Killer Robot, which grunted in despair and flailed its legs in vain. "I don't have all day, if you want to finish your work, follow me."
"Brother, I don't know anything about this guy, but I definitely like how straightforward he is, he will definitely be useful to Master Megatron." Skyquake confessed.
"He's pretty extreme, but it's a chance to further Megatron's plan for a safer and fairer Cybertron for all, so let's go crush these vermin." Dreadwing followed Barricade, maintaining his serious demeanor while his brother looked excited.
