Transformed into Kanna in Terra

Chapter 37: Rhodes Island’s Gua Sha* Sniper and Throwing Specialist Arrives

As soon as Kanna entered the vehicle, TOUCH nodded at her before raising a finger to her lips in a gesture for silence.

Kanna quietly walked over and sat down beside her, watching the young Felin lying in TOUCH's arms, her face contorted in pain. At this moment, she did not yet have the name Rosmontis.

Although Kanna wanted to help, she lacked the necessary skills and knowledge. She could only sit helplessly, watching the suffering Felin.

As the convoy began its journey back, Kanna noticed a slight tremor in the Felin's eyelids. Her breathing grew heavy, and gradually, she awoke.

Upon waking up, the Felin was immediately filled with panic—she had once again found herself in a strange vehicle, its interior filled with medical equipment. Suddenly, a surge of rage ignited in her mind, and she wanted to destroy every single medical device in sight.

As her emotions surged, a strange, biological force emerged within the vehicle, twisting the surrounding environment into something unnatural.

Sensing something was wrong, Kanna instantly kicked open the car door, grabbed the Felin, and leaped out.

The moment they left the vehicle, the distorted environment inside began to subside.

The abnormality in the medical vehicle was quickly noticed by the rest of the convoy. The entire team halted immediately, and Outcast, along with her squad, moved to surround Kanna and the Felin.

Kanna could feel the immense pressure of distortion around her and shook her head slightly. If it had been an ordinary person, they would have been crushed into paste by now.

How did Rhodes Island even manage to get her onto the ship safely in the game?

"Don't come any closer… her mental state is unstable. You might trigger her," Kanna warned as she saw the operators approaching.

Hearing this, the team immediately stopped in their tracks.

At that moment, TOUCH stumbled out of the medical vehicle, still visibly shaken.

"What the hell happened?" Outcast, noticing the fear-stricken faces of the medical team, frowned in confusion.

"See for yourself! I was wondering why Kal'tsit insisted that I come along. Turns out this little Felin is a serious problem." TOUCH let out a sigh, trying to calm her nerves as she turned her gaze toward Kanna and the Felin in the distance.

Outcast stepped forward and peered into the vehicle—what she saw left her shocked.

Eighty percent of the medical equipment inside had been destroyed.

Some pieces were shredded to bits, while others were twisted into unrecognizable shapes.

Meanwhile, outside the vehicle, Kanna held the Felin close, gently patting her frail shoulders.

"Don't be afraid… don't be afraid… you've escaped now. No one will hurt you anymore. Be good, follow me… deep breaths… inhale… exhale… inhale… exhale…"

As Kanna calmly soothed her, the Felin's fear gradually subsided. She nervously clung to Kanna, squeezing her shoulder.

However, the moment she spotted TOUCH approaching, her body shuddered slightly, her previous panic resurfacing.

TOUCH, noticing the fear in her eyes, hesitated and stopped a distance away.

Strange… I've never met this child before. Why is she so terrified of me?

Kanna gently stroked the Felin's ears, then shielded her from TOUCH's line of sight.

At that moment, Outcast approached, stopping about five meters away. Seeing this, Kanna raised a hand to halt her.

"Stay back. Her abilities are strange and extremely powerful. If she loses control again, I can't guarantee I'll be able to get you out safely."

Outcast stopped in her tracks. Observing carefully, she noticed that the ground beneath Kanna and the Felin had sunk several centimeters, as if an invisible force was pressing down on them.

Although Kanna appeared outwardly calm, her clothes were clinging tightly to her body, a clear sign that she was under immense pressure.

"Do you know what's causing this?" Outcast asked, pointing between TOUCH and the Felin in Kanna's arms.

Kanna, feeling the pressure around her gradually lighten, finally spoke:

"I suspect… she's not afraid of Auntie TOUCH herself, but rather something on her clothing. Or maybe a particular insignia."

Kanna vaguely recalled details from Rosmontis' backstory, but since she couldn't reveal how she knew, she could only present it as a guess to the others.

TOUCH looked down at herself in confusion. She was wearing Rhodes Island's standard combat medical uniform, similar to Outcast's, without any special insignia… except for…

Suddenly, realization dawned on her. Her face darkened.

A moment later, she cursed angrily:

"Don't let me find out what those bastards did to her, or I swear, I'll throw every last one of them into a septic tank and drown them!"

As she grumbled furiously, TOUCH raised her right hand to her left shoulder, then ripped off the red cross armband symbolizing the medical team.

Sure enough, once TOUCH removed the armband and slowly approached, the Felin no longer reacted with fear.

Seeing this, TOUCH's initial anger turned into sadness and pain.

Just what kind of suffering did she go through to develop such deep hatred for medical personnel?

As a medic, this realization filled her with shame.

About half an hour later, Kanna finally signaled that it was safe to approach.

Upon closer inspection, the young Felin had once again fallen unconscious—likely due to exhaustion and the excessive use of Originium Arts.

Now aware of her trauma triggers, the team removed all visible medical equipment from the vehicle. Whatever couldn't be removed was covered up before they carefully placed the Felin back inside.

Since Kanna was unaffected by her Originium Arts, Outcast decided to have her stay by the Felin's side—in case another incident occurred, Kanna could serve as an additional safeguard.

After this unexpected ordeal, the convoy resumed their journey back.

A New Threat Approaches

Not long after setting off again, Kanna's ears twitched. She turned toward the window, looking behind them.

"What is it?" TOUCH asked. After what had happened earlier, she no longer saw Kanna as just a child. Sensing her reaction, she immediately questioned her.

"Someone is following us. Three off-road vehicles and seven motorcycles. They're all armed."

Despite the limited visibility from inside the vehicle, Kanna accurately detected the pursuers—several kilometers away and closing in fast.

Hearing Kanna's report, TOUCH immediately alerted Outcast.

The convoy continued driving toward a canyon.

Once inside, the vehicles pressed forward, while several Rhodes Island operators abruptly jumped out of their vehicles.

The operatives quickly dispersed into the shadows, disappearing into the dense forest lining both sides of the canyon—lying in wait for the approaching threat.
