Chapter 5: The Storm (5)
Jeff after setting up his crowdfunding decided to go and take a shower, he hasnt bathed in two days or so and the smell was getting to him, though before he went to the bathroom he placed the black steel on the desk to ready it up for laser gun creation.
Black Steel had the same problem as Pale wood which was heat absorption but then again, it is common logic that the darker the color the more heat it absorbs, Jeff already had plans on how to fix it though, just use the heat resistant paint and coating on the metal.
When a toy is added as a character to the Loremakers world, the material composition of their armaments are important, they must have properties that can be perfectly translated into the Loremakers world, on the note on lasers, in order to make the laser weapons stronger in the lore world the actual laser in the toy gun must be strong as well, not strong enough to burn ones hand though, just strong enough that one shot to the eye will leave you blind.
Jeff left his Holocom on to keep tabs on his crowdfunding, it might feel like he is being hasty or even impatient but who knows a miracle might happen.

Matt Merc Apartment.
"Shitty fuckwit! Im so gonna have my revenge on you George, you egotistical asshole!"
Matt filled in forms and supplied evidences to counter the false accusations, and was even forced to pay the penalties he got from the report, fortunately he was able to provide enough evidence of his innocence and was able to pay the fines.
The fines were hefty though but he was still able to secure money for his future expenditures, a Loremaker makes a lot of money, especially when they get royalties from other Loremakers and even Toymakers using resources from their stories.
"Haaa i need to find replacement toys for my story now, i planned for the Jetpack duo to be the protagonists of my old lore but again that no good son of a whore stole everything..."
Matt was still enraged by the stolen property, he blamed himself for not copyrighting it before, he just trusted the guy too much to even find them suspicious, he pressed a hot towel against his face to calm himself down.
Matt was quite young looking for a 34 year old, he had long hair ending at shoulder length and had a baby face, though his charm was slightly impacted by the eyebags he had, they were trophies that marked his hard work.
"Phew.. now lets search for a new one, i shouldnt commission the rising nor the big Toymakers, theyll end up betraying me for more money and its easy to spot them, my only choice is the crowdfunding area which allows anonymity"
Matt navigated to the crowdfunding zone of the market place and scanned through the massive library of newcomers hoping to get big by making overpowered characters, these hopefulls need expensive materials though, materials that are way out of their Toymaker level, most of them are scams.
"Too many scammers these days, lets read through some of them, lets start with Power Squad"
He opened the page for Power Squad and it asked for a starting funding of 500 coins each, with an opening of 1000 people, toys having more Loremakers use them are nice and all since it increases the toys power but how long will it take for his to arrive if he funded it, from what he can see its already at 965, plus what lore would he make with it, skip.
"Next one, Omega Bright, another superhero dreamer, i dont need superheros since i never planned to tackle the genre"
Matt kept on scrolling till he reached a field diorama complete with a promised field card, speaking of field cards, they are card forms of the dioramas created by Toymakers, they project the diorama field that they are registered with, one field card can register only one diorama, a field card has varying size limits depending on the card material, the more durable the material the larger the diorama the Toymaker can register.
Where and how this tech came to be will be tackled in the future.
"Advanced tech bunker, a simple concept but the fact that the Toymaker is stating that the item will arrive two days after makes it suspicious but the photos of the buyers receiving it seem genuine, i even see my neighbour in the photos, Ah no matter, its only a 2000 coins investment for an already detailed scene ill take it"
The amount of investors on the diorama build were about 23 people since most would be put off by the 2000 coins price tag that smelled like a scam, he resumed and kept on scrolling for about 2 hours till he received a notification for his package number, and it was being delivered by the most secure shipping company, Bolt Express.
"So it wasnt a scam since this company tends to do background checks on their customers"
Again he kept on scrolling until he reached a certain post, it promised a total of six figures for the price tag of 2000 coins, basically the same as the diorama, he decided to give it a look, the shops photo was of a weird puppet looking character holding a robot.
"Atleast this shop is trying to look professional... It makes it look more suspicious though.. anyway lets see what the figures theyre offering are"
What met Matts eyes werent physical toys but toy schematics for two types, one was called Clone Trooper and the other was Storm Trooper.
