Tower of god:Skybender

Chapter 17: Forces

"All right since we're done here I'll follow them to finish off the bull we can't take any chances here"I say

I extended my wings, feeling the sharp tension of the air as I focused on the direction Anaak and Endorsi had gone. With a thought, I willed my feathers forward, releasing them like arrows slicing through the still air. As they flew, I could feel the subtle vibrations they picked up—a faint hum as they glided past rock, branches, and the Bull's heavy footfalls. Each quiver of the feathers sent signals back to me, guiding my senses toward the distant clash of the princesses and the Bull, like an invisible pulse in the wind.

I beat my wings with everything I had, each powerful flap sending gusts of wind against my skin. The sensation was sharp and exhilarating—the wind whistled loudly in my ears, rushing past like a torrent, while the cool air caressed my face. My body cut through the sky in sync with the feathers I had sent ahead. The world below blurred, but every movement, every brush of air, sharpened my senses, pulling me toward the distant echoes of the battle ahead.

Reaching the area where the vibrations halted, I spot Endorsi struggling in the Bull's grip, its massive tail wrapped around her body. Time slows as adrenaline floods my veins. Without hesitation, I focus, willing my feathers to solidify and form into a lance. The wind stirs around me as I channel my skybending ability, amplifying the lance with swirling currents of air.

"Aero Lance: Sky Piercer!" I shout, hurling the weapon with all my strength. The lance tears through the air like a torpedo, its path unwavering, and strikes the Bull with a forceful impact, embedding deep into its side.Flying to an unknown place in the cave.

The creature let out a guttural roar, releasing Endorsi. She collapsed to the ground, gasping for air as I landed beside her, my wings humming with residual energy. Without missing a beat, I crouched down to help her to her feet.

"You okay? Where's Anaak?" I asked, scanning the area for any sign of her.

Endorsi coughed, clutching her side, her breaths ragged. "She's… somewhere up ahead. I don't know exactly. That thing was… was dragging me around."

I frowned, sensing the slight tremors running through my feathers. There was something off about the vibrations, something more than just the battle. "I'm feeling something… the vibrations are coming from over there," I said, pointing toward the darkened path ahead.

Endorsi glanced in the direction I indicated and wiped the sweat from her brow. "Anaak must be close. We need to hurry."

I nodded, but my gaze didn't leave the path.

Anaak lay on the ground, blood pooling beneath her as Ren loomed above, the Green April in his grasp. He twirled it mockingly, a sneer curling on his lips. "Dumb girl," he said, his voice filled with contempt. "You had one job: stay hidden. But no, you had to seek revenge, didn't you?"

Anaak groaned, clutching her side. Her vision blurred from the pain, but she still glared up at Ren, her pride too strong to show fear. "I won't let scum like you walk away with that weapon."

Ren laughed, a cruel sound that echoed in the cavernous arena. "Oh, you're going to stop me? In your condition?" He kicked her side, sending a fresh wave of pain through her body. "I could kill you right now, but that wouldn't be any fun, would it?" He crouched beside her, his cold eyes gleaming with malice. "No, I think I'll toy with you a little first. After all, you're nothing but a defective Princess."

Anaak spat blood, her breathing labored. "Go to hell."

Ren's smirk widened as he stood. "Oh, Anaak, we're already in hell. And you're trapped in it just like everyone else." He spun the Green April lazily on his tongue, testing its weight. "Didn't you know? The Bull, that thing you've been fighting so hard against, it's my pet. I trained it, raised it. You've been dancing in the palm of my hand this whole time."

Anaak's eyes widened in shock. "You… you sent it after us?"

Ren shrugged, acting as if it was the most natural thing in the world. "Of course. It's amusing to watch you squirm, to see how far a worthless little traitor like you can go." He stepped closer "But let's be real, Anaak. You were never going to win."

Anaak grit her teeth, fighting back the fear bubbling up inside her. She couldn't give him the satisfaction. "You think this changes anything?" she hissed, her voice hoarse but defiant. "I'll still find a way to take you down."

Ren chuckled softly. "I'll enjoy watching you try." He swallowed the weapon smirking as he added, "But not too hard. I wouldn't want you to die too soon."

Ren's eyes glinted as he gathered shinsu in his mouth, preparing to unleash a deadly blast.

"That's enough!" I shouted, spotting Anaak lying on the ground, bleeding out. My heart pounded in my chest as I took a step forward. "Wait, aren't you Mr.—"

Ren cut me off with a twisted smile. "Oh ho ho, Kael, my irregular student. I didn't expect you to be here." His tone was condescending, laced with menace. "But killing you right here wouldn't be so bad. After all, we don't need another Urek Mazino running around, do we?"

His words hit me like a punch. "There's no way you're Mr. Yuga," I said, my voice shaking. The realization that the person I once knew was gone left me stunned.

Ren chuckled darkly. "Heh, yeah. I'm not Yuga. I'm—"

Before he could finish, Endorsi dropped from the ceiling, landing a powerful kick on Ren's chest, knocking him away from Anaak. She quickly scooped up Anaak in her arms, backing up from the still grinning Ren. "You escaped from my Bull, I see," Ren muttered, dusting himself off, his eyes narrowing. "Oh well, I can just kill all of you anyway."

Endorsi glared at him, her usual playful demeanor replaced by cold determination. "You talk too much, rice ball. Why don't you shut up for once and fight?"

I stepped beside her, drawing my wings to shield Anaak. "Endorsi, take Anaak and get her somewhere safe. I'll handle him."

Endorsi gave me a sharp look. "You think I'm going to run? Not a chance. This bastard's mine."

Ren laughed, clearly amused by the challenge. "Oh, I love it when prey fights back. Makes this so much more fun."

Anaak groaned in Endorsi's arms, trying to sit up. "Endorsi Kael … don't… fight him…"

"Shut up, lizard," Endorsi snapped, though there was concern in her eyes. "You're in no condition to give orders."

Ren took a step forward, his presence growing more menacing by the second. "Come on, show me what you've got, Kael. Let's see if you're worthy of being an irregular."

I readied myself, willing the wind around me to swirl faster. "Endorsi, get her out of here, now."

Endorsi hesitated for a moment before nodding, backing away with Anaak in tow. Ren smirked. "Ready to die, Kael?"

Willing my feathers into a lance once more, I let it float beside me, swirling with energy. I took a deep breath, drawing on the shinsu that filled the air like a vast ocean. My mind focused, I reached out to the currents of power around me. I could feel the air respond, rippling and bending to my will. I stretched my hand forward, shaping the shinsu into five figures that flickered into existence, shimmering with a faint blue glow.

The clones, identical to me, formed solid and steady. Each clone wielded a feather lance, the wind swirling fiercely around them, just like the real one beside me. The energy that surged through their bodies mirrored my own, and as one, we stood ready for Ren.

Flying higher, I observed him, standing there with that smug grin, patiently waiting. His overconfidence was my weapon.

"Good, he's underestimating me," I thought, determination settling into my bones.

I raised my hand and flicked my wrist. The clones sprang into action, darting forward with their lances raised high, their figures gliding effortlessly across the battlefield. Each step they took caused ripples in the air, like a stone skipping across the surface of a pond.

as the lances slammed into the fish creature guarding him. The force of the wind-infused attack sent it reeling, its grotesque body contorting as the shinsu tore through its defenses.

"Aero Lance:Phantom storm!" I yell out

But then, before the clones could strike again, their forms flickered and dissolved into the air, vanishing like mist in the wind. The last remnants of their power scattered, leaving only the lingering echo of their attack.

As the smoke cleared, Ren stood unfazed, a mocking grin spread across his face. "Hoho… Looks like my little irregular student has some firepower after all," he taunted, brushing off the dust on his rice body as if the attack had been nothing more than a mild inconvenience.

"Let's see how you handle my pets," Ren said with a laugh, his mouth widening unnaturally. He gagged for a moment before barfing out two more grotesque fish-like creatures that floated menacingly in the air.

They swam toward me, their jaws wide open, lined with razor-sharp teeth. I quickly dodged to the side, narrowly escaping the first one. My body moved instinctively, and I willed a feather needle into my hand. As the second fish lunged at me, I slashed it across its bloated belly, watching its insides spill out as it convulsed in midair.

But there was no time to gather my thoughts. The third creature was already on me. Summoning all my strength, I spun my feather needle in my hand, channeling my skybending into the tip. The air swirled violently around the needle, forming a small tornado that crackled with power. With a shout, I thrust the needle forward, unleashing the tornado at the fish. The force of the wind ripped through its body, sending it crashing into the ground in a heap.

Ren laughed, his eyes gleaming with wicked amusement. "Not bad, Kael. But let's see how long you can keep this up."
