Chapter 3
● Chapter 3
● Pov: Yuuki
I open my eyes and see a different ceiling than the one I'm used to seeing every morning.
"What happened, where am I? Ouch!!"
I feel an extreme pain in my abdomen, I look around and see other beds that looked like they were in a hospital, then I remember, I was stabbed by a man while helping a girl.
I was starting to remember what had happened, when suddenly the door to the room opened.
"Ah, you're awake, that's great."
The person who appeared at the door was a nurse with short, black hair. She explained to me that I arrived at the hospital
with a cut on the left side of my abdomen and that it wasn't so serious as to damage other internal organs.
And he said that the only bad thing would be the scar that might appear on my abdomen.
It's not that bad, between a scar or certain death, I'd prefer the scar. With that thought in mind, I remembered something.
"What about the girl?"
I asked about the unknown girl I had saved, the nurse only said that she was fine and had no physical injuries.
A great weight was lifted from my shoulders after hearing that.
After the nurse left, my mother and father came into the room where I was.
My mother, who had tears in her eyes, hugged me so tightly that I was running out of breath.
My father said that he was proud of me for saving the girl, he also pushed my mother away, who was really making me breathless.
I asked them about school, and they said that it will give me assignments until I can recover from my injury.
Apparently I can be discharged after a week and a half, which is good because I've definitely missed updates on the novels and mangas I'm reading.

After a week and a half, I finally got out of the hospital.
I received some visits from Souta, which made me happy because those were the only times I really had fun in the hospital.
Today I'll finally be able to go to school, thanks to the work my teachers gave me, I didn't fall behind in my subjects.
“Hmm, and a little ugly.”
In front of the mirror, I see the scar left by the knife, it forms a large line on the left side of my abdomen.
But… it was worth it, I hope the girl wasn’t traumatized by everything that happened.
“And really ugly.”
After confirming that she was really ugly, I put on my school uniform, drink my coffee and leave the house.
Souta is waiting for me in front of the house to accompany me to school.
He said he would do this to help me not get into “more trouble”.
“Hi brother, how are you?”
“Apart from the ugly scar and a little discomfort in my abdomen, I’m fine.”
I reply with a hint of sarcasm in my words.
“Come on, bro, that’s a mark of courage, imagine being called “the hero”, being recognized like that is awesome.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment, thanks Souta.”
“No problem, haha.”
After thanking him for what seemed like a compliment, we walked together to the station to catch a train to Nagano Municipal High School, where I will actually start my school life.
Arriving at school, I remembered something that made my blood run cold.
“I… I remembered…”
“Huh?”
“We’re not in the same class, Souta.”
Our school determines our classes based on our performance in the entrance exams.
And since I'm average in my studies, I'm in a lower class than Souta.
"And this?"
"What do you mean 'and this'!? I'm going to enter a classroom where I don't know anyone, after not showing up at school for a week and a half, and you come and tell me that "this is it."
"Come on, entering a classroom isn't that hard."
"Speak for yourself."
I go to my outdoor shoe closet for indoor shoes, after that I separate from Souta and go to my classroom.
1°C, the classroom I'll have to stay in this year.
"Come on Yuuki, you can do it." I think to myself.
Plucking up courage, I open the classroom door.
Some people look at me, but then they turn their gazes back to what I was doing, without caring about me.
(Phew, I'm glad I didn't draw too much attention.)
I think this to myself and head to my seat, which seems to be near the window, which I consider a great spot.
After I sit down and take my notebooks and textbooks out of my backpack, a straight brown-haired teacher enters the room, everyone in the class stands up and greets him with a bow.
I follow them in the bow, the teacher then begins his class, I didn't give his name so I'll have to ask later.

Morning classes are over and the bell for lunch rang.
Classes were more boring than I thought they would be, but it's still better than the hospital.
I get up, leave the room and go to the school cafeteria to buy my lunch, on the way I meet Souta.
"Going to buy your lunch in the cafeteria?"
"Unlike you, who has someone to make your lunch, I have to buy my own."
Souta then laughs and follows me to the cafeteria to buy bread, I hope there's still melon pan and curry pan.

● 3rd person POV (narrator)
As Yuuki and Souta walk to the cafeteria, a girl with long black hair watches them in amazement from afar.
"And him!" she says.
