Chapter 12: Chapter 11

"Charlie, I'm taking 15!" A black haired boy that looked no older than 16 gave his thumps up, as Georgie takes his reside on a silver chair. The chairs were probably new. They were probably new, because there were no cracks or dirt on them. Having a friendly, shy smile, he motions to the seat in front of him. So I listen to his invite and have my fingers wrap around the chair, pulling it out. "So, " Now finally at the table, I have my hands intertwined in front of me. "How has it been going, Georgie?"

His soft brown bangs shake as he unconsciously fixes the wrinkle in his apron. There was a twinkle in his eye, as his smile was soft and excited. "I've been doing ok. how about you?"

"Suprised to be back." He nods severally. "Very surprised."

The rest of our conversation was filled with our family and new found hobbies. It's weird because two people barely know each other have a remembering. How can someone who prefers his quiet time give someone like me a chance?

Georgie was clocked back into his shift. Me and the door make eye contact. I know that being in the rest of the town of Florida will have me face to face with people that don't like me. And that's hard. I don't like that tense feeling of people judging me because of what I've done. for a lot of things, to be honest.

Then someone spoke a little bit higher than a whisper.

I spin, being in shock. I clutch onto the sleeves of my green flannel. His lips were affinative and shy. His brown eyes sparkling, "Meet me at that same spot?"

"Definitely." I quickly face the door again as he goes back to his orders.

The tree looked the same like it did last year. Same old roots, and leaves. same rusty bark. Same branches. I sit down against the bark. Wondering. Thoughts in a trance. I find a crumbly leaf to play with and fidget with.

They're some leaves blowing in the distance, playing.

"Hello?"

"Georgie! Come and sit."

He left some space between us.
