CHAPTER : 8
Chapter 8 Teaching, Enlightenment, and Upper Intensity (1)
A massive amount of information was poured into Lucien’s mind, which was eventually grouped together and integrated to form the knowledge about a brand-new meditation technique.
This knowledge that was directly transferred into his mind by the system was very easy to grasp as if Lucian himself had come into contact with them a long time ago and was just picking them up again now.
Soon enough, Lucien fully digested this part of the knowledge and mastered this new meditative discipline.
To put it simply, this was a meditation that was upgraded based on the Grey Bone Meditation, and many of its contents were an addition and improvement to the Grey Bone Meditation.
To take a not-so-appropriate example, if the original Gray Bone Meditation Method was a sketch, then the Gray Bone Meditation Method-Change was a sketch with many details and shadows added to it.
Although the difficulty is a bit higher than the grey bone meditation idea, the overall effect is enhanced.
Without mentioning anything else, the fact that the final Gray Bone Meditation Idea-Revised was able to solidify 180 spiritual runes, which was a two-thirds increase from the original, already spoke volumes about its excellence.
Moreover, the most crucial point is that after learning the grey bone meditation idea, learning this ‘upgrade version’, is much easier, after all, the correlation between the two meditation ideas is too strong.
However, Lucien quickly thought of a new problem.
According to the system’s logic, he could gain more advanced knowledge by teaching his students. So what would happen if he taught his students again the more advanced knowledge he had learned from the system’s side?
Grey Bone Meditation idea-change-change?
The corner of Lucien’s mouth raised in a mischievous arc.
Coincidentally, at this moment, the eyelids of Carrie, who originally had her eyes closed, moved, ending her first meditation.
Only, after Carrie opened her eyes, a trace of gloom flashed across her eyes.
Sure enough, her talent was too poor, even the perception of magical elements, which that Third Grade Sorcerer Apprentice Lord had said was easy in the airship, seemed to be extraordinarily difficult for her.
The weakest first-class qualification, the innate spiritual power was incomparably weak, and the perception of those stray magical elements was also extraordinarily vague.
Perhaps for those highly gifted apprentices, the air-free magical element sense is like the palm of the fingerprints, but for her, even the fog can not be considered to see the flowers, it is more like in the darkness of a haphazard groping for a long time to be able to occasionally good luck, bumped into one or two ‘dead rats’.
Carrie was incredibly disheartened, she was even more afraid to look at Lucien, at this moment she wanted to shrink herself to a small size so that others could not see, nor could they find her.
Perhaps, she should not belong to this high and mighty wizard world, but should return to the Earl’s family domain, return to the Earl’s big dormitory that is a bit damp and moldy, honestly as a small servant …….
Carly thought in her mind, and her mood became more and more negative.
‘Carly, finished meditating?’
Only Lucien’s words still forced her to end the random thoughts in her mind, and she raised her head with some urgency, ‘The knot …… is over, Mentor Lucien.’
‘Oh, how does it feel? Many people can have some adverse reactions after their first meditation.’ Lucien laughed, he was just casually asking, after all, if Carly was in a bad state, his teaching plan for today might have to come to an end.
‘I ……’ Carly’s mouth opened before she could say all the words, but her tears snapped and fell first.
Lucien: ????
‘I’m sorry, Mentor Lucien, I …… I’m just too stupid ……’ Carly was speaking a bit incoherently at this point. Lucian tried to interrupt several times, but he couldn’t find a suitable opportunity.
In the end, he could only helplessly hand over a towel and wait for Carrie to stabilize herself a little before thinking about what to do afterward.
However, from this somewhat incoherent apology from Carrie, Lucien also roughly understood the problem.
I’m afraid that Carly’s sorcerer’s talent was considered to be the worst of the bunch amongst the first-class qualified apprentices.
Therefore, perhaps for other new blood, the simplest step of ‘sensing magical elements’ was extremely difficult for Carrie.
This wasn’t a problem of Carrie’s ability, but rather the constraints of her predisposition.
Perhaps for other tutors, such a poorly talented student had no cultivation value at all, and at this point, they would either treat her coldly and let her go, or plan how to make the most out of Carrie.
But for Lucien, he didn’t particularly care about the student’s talent or anything else.
After all, for him, as long as the student’s ability to understand was not too faulty and did not affect his ability to teach the students, then it was not a big problem.
However, the next words of Carrie were what made Lucian a little unsettled.
‘Lucien …… Mentor Lucien, why don’t you find someone else to be your student, I …… I feel sorry for you …… ‘Carly stuttered her words at this point, seemingly dismissing herself all at once.
Lucien frowned.
He looked towards Carly but at this time. He was very angry.
I just bound in the front foot, and you want to jump out of the car in the back foot?
However, looking at Carrie’s pearly appearance, Lucien took a deep breath and calmed himself down.
He understood that at this time, Carrie’s spirit had reached the edge of the cliff, and could no longer withstand any pressure. Therefore, even if he was to criticise and educate, it had to be an encouraging type of education, to beat the blood out of her, rather than pushing her down.
After figuring this out, Lucien looked at Carrie with a serious expression.
‘Carrie, do you remember what I just recounted to you? I asked you, what is the essence of a sorcerer?’
Carly froze, and at this time, her somewhat red eyes looked at Lucian, hesitating for a moment before she whispered, ‘Witches, a group of scholars who use knowledge as a crowbar to pry the rules in order to gain power.’
‘Good answer.’ Lucien softened his tone, then looked at Carrie, ‘Then let me ask you, do qualifications belong to knowledge?’
Carly froze and looked at Lucian, shaking her head slowly with some uncertainty.
‘Then have you learned the Basic Meditation Method?’ Lucien followed up with another question.
Carrie hesitated for a moment, then nodded her head.
‘Since you were able to grasp, learn, and try to apply the knowledge. By doing these three things alone, you are already a qualified sorcerer apprentice.’ A smile appeared on Lucian’s face, a smile with encouragement that made Carly’s mood lighten.
‘Let me tell you this. Talent is only momentary, and even when promoted to a full-fledged sorcerer, innate qualifications no longer matter, while knowledge, is your own.’
Lucien tightened his smile and his tone seemed somewhat serious.
‘As a mentor, I should be criticizing you. But yet, it’s not because of your qualifications, but because after I taught you what the essence of a sorcerer is, you still can’t grasp the core and essence.’
‘Besides, the meditation idea just now was just for you to familiarise yourself with it first, and since you’ve now mastered the basic version of the one just now, we’re going to start on the intensity after a slight adjustment.’ Lucian patted Carly’s shoulder and said.
Carrie froze, a little at a loss for words, and her small mouth opened slightly.
Basic? Going up in intensity?
