This Life, I Will Be the Protagonist

Chapter 395: Honor Store

The World Graveyard was clearly designed to allow divine game players to enter the game more frequently without worrying about not finding a ticket or hesitating to destroy a key. But this was the cheapest item in the [Divine-Only Items] section. Everything else started at 200,000 honor points, with the most expensive items priced at 10 million honor points. Rita didn't even dare to look at those prices.

At that moment, Nivalis flew over, saying she received a system notification and asked if Rita wanted to log into BS and load the game interface.

Rita was curious. "Were you from Lania Kaia before?"

Nivalis explained, "Our Dragon Island is independent from Lania Kaia. Our previous system was very basic. We couldn't chat, send mail, or even have a forum. We never connected with the 12 Holy Tribes of Lania Kaia."

Rita didn't hesitate. "Then join us! BS has the Honor Point Store, and there are lots of things in there. Once you log in, you'll be able to spend the BS Honor Points we earn from the Gladiator Arena. If possible, it's best to buy the All-Races Language."

Nivalis nodded in satisfaction. "Since you need me, I'll join."

Rita chuckled helplessly. "...Yes, I need you."

After pacifying Nivalis, Rita continued to browse the Honor Store. This time, she clicked into the [Knowledge] section.

It contained not only professional knowledge like Alchemy, Jewelry, Engineering, Enchanting, etc., but also many things she had never encountered before—Mecha, Magic, Demonology, Random All-Races Languages, Curse Knowledge, and more...

There were also skill-based knowledge options. Players had to learn them on their own, but the ratings were impressive, starting from S-rank. Of course, the prices were just as hefty, starting at 50,000 honor points.

What really caught Rita's attention was that there was even a Random All-Races Language available for 5,000 honor points.

Unfortunately, players could only buy it 10 times at most, and there was no guarantee that the random language wouldn't overlap with languages the player already knew. What a scam!

If Nivalis could buy 10 different languages, it would be helpful, even if the amount was limited. Unfortunately, Nivalis only had 2,000 honor points.

The price wasn't too outrageous, so Rita didn't rush into a purchase. Instead, she clicked on the last category: [Luck].

There was only one item: Mysterious Gift Box (Price: 999 Honor Points)

Mysterious Gift Box: Anything is possible. There is a 1% chance of drawing a [Knowledge] item, and a 1% chance of drawing a [Divine Gift] item. (Opening results are not affected by luck values; time-based cheating skills are prohibited.)

How unfair! Luck values couldn't affect the box's outcome? This was so biased against the lucky players!

And what about the remaining 98%? They didn't even disclose it. It felt like a scam!

Rita frowned, complaining as she bought one anyway.

Suddenly, a golden square gift box appeared in front of her. It floated in the air for a second before starting to fall freely. Fortunately, Rita reacted quickly and caught it just in time.

Nivalis leaned over. "Is that the box?"

"Yeah." Rita nervously rubbed her hands. She summoned the Fountain of Light to wash her hands before pulling open the ribbon of the gift box.

Both she and Nivalis peered inside, only to find a single coin...

Rita's expression remained flat as she took the coin out and tossed it against the living room wall. It embedded there, impossible to remove.

She muttered under her breath, "I knew paying for this stuff never leads to anything good! I'm done!"

Her honor points had dropped to 102,051.

Not wanting to waste any more, Rita quickly switched back to the [Knowledge] section and spent 50,000 honor points to buy 10 All-Races Languages.

She was lucky—every language was one she didn't already know. In the grand scheme of things, her known languages were still very few. Now, the number of languages she knew had reached 679.

She skimmed through the [Knowledge] and [Divine Gifts] categories again but didn't find anything she absolutely needed. With 52,051 honor points left, she decided to save them.

The Honor Store had a countdown in the top right corner, indicating that items would update every 30 days.

After finishing her shopping, Rita finally responded to the private messages. She didn't say much. It wasn't that she was being arrogant—it was just that, even when she barged in, it had been a mess. For players of BS, entering the game now was almost like sending themselves to their doom.

Now, even if she just said, "I can't talk right now," no one would dare press her for answers.

Meanwhile, the game forum and major social media sites were abuzz with topics such as:

#Gladiator Arena Rita# #New Dungeon Light Barriers# #What Exactly Is ■■■■?# #Divine Gift Talent Fate Re-roll Capsules# #Shattered Divine Essence#

Even Samuel called her, asking if she could exchange two Fate Re-roll Capsules for them.

Rita flatly replied, "I won't."

Those two words completely flummoxed Samuel. He stammered for a while before weakly cursing her and hanging up.

Rick also asked her about it, and once again, she simply responded with "I won't," refusing to even bother giving a reason.

...

The next day at 9 AM, Shadow.Q arrived promptly at Rita's door, ready to take her and Nivalis to the deep sea.

"We estimate that 10 million new dungeon light barriers have been added."

"How many Cut-and-Paste Skill Crystals did you bring?"

"All the ones accumulated by Eclipse Vanguard. We'll take as many as we can. Every country is fighting for them."

"Got it."

The car stopped at the seaside, where seven players from Eclipse Vanguard were waiting. After a quick introduction, they all dove into the sea.

The underwater environment was treacherous. When Rita had previously brought Nivalis here, it wasn't too bad. But ever since the foreign armies gathered, the sea had become more dangerous, with traps, foreign players, and occasionally even underwater Beast Bosses to contend with.

In the past, Eclipse Vanguard players couldn't make it this far due to level restrictions, but now, with some progress, they were able to probe the deep sea. But the dangers were still overwhelming.

After another battle, where they defeated an 18-level Beast Boss, Rita helped the Eclipse Vanguard players retrieve yet another dungeon light barrier.

At this point, Rita was almost certain—after her death in the previous life, Blue Star probably ceased to exist shortly thereafter.

She had once believed in a counterattack, but now she realized it was more likely that they were simply preparing to claim a territory as their own—surviving like the wild monsters of Lania Kaia. The "counterattack" slogan was just a way to test which players still had the passion to fight for Blue Star.

Not only had she never heard of the Arena of All Races or the World Battlefield in her previous life, but even after Eclipse Vanguard had weakened, the major factions had been too evenly matched, too busy fighting among themselves.

Unlike this life, where Eclipse Vanguard far outshone the others. Though there were still internal struggles, they were more restrained and always looked to Eclipse Vanguard as the leader. Major events were now coordinated by them.

The underwater situation was complicated, and though fate could sometimes reverse the status of dungeon light barriers, the vast underwater area was too large to fully explore. Even on land, there were places that humans had yet to set foot in.

Even though Eclipse Vanguard and other nations were cooperating, they still couldn't locate all the dungeon light barriers on BS.
